Really moved to Mallorca and worked in…

Really moved to Mallorca and worked in Palma in 2025. Used several car rentals housed in the terminal over the last 18 months.
Samia (Palma) was by far the most pleasant to deal with, it’s always nice to see a smile. Very efficient and would recommend.

I have been using drivalia on multiple…

I have been using drivalia on multiple occasions, while be in Valencia.
I was attended by Miguel during my last visit in Valencia.
He was really helpful and accomodare all the required needed.
I am looking forward to rent again with your company again in the future

Everything seemed fine when I returned…

Everything seemed fine when I returned the car until Drivalia claimed that an "emergency beacon" was missing. I was never informed that the car should contain one, nor was it shown to me or listed on any checklist at pickup. The employee at the return desk specifically told me I would not be charged, yet 30 minutes later I received a €50 invoice that they deducted from my deposit. This feels like a dishonest way of charging customers for items they were never made aware of.

I would not rent from Drivalia again, and I cannot recommend them to anyone else. Their prices may seem attractive at first, but in my experience they make up for it through unfair and unexpected charges.

Great experience with DRIVALIA.ES

We had a great experience with DRIVALIA at Alicante Airport in Spain. We received a 2026 MG that was modern, comfortable, and had all the features we needed. The car drove very well, and the customer service was friendly and helpful throughout the rental process. The price was also very reasonable, especially considering how new and well-equipped the car was. Overall, we were very satisfied and would happily use DRIVALIA again.

All went fantastically

All went fantastically, we were welcomed by Hasna and she was very friendly and fluent in several languages. We had a fast and efficient check-in where she e planned everything in detail :)
We also “checked-out” the car with her, she had a doubt about a scratch on the car but with the photo we took at the check-in we solved the doubt in 5 seconds :)
100% we’ll book again with Drivalia and surely an electric car again :)
Update after 2 weeks: deposit is still to be returned though :) I’ll keep the review updated

Beware if using your own excess insurance.

I have used Drivalia in Alicante Airport 12 times in the last 4 years and have always considered them a decent company, and normally would have given them a 4* rating. However, in the last 6 months things have changed. In April 2026 I was given a car with 21 dents or scratches on the bodywork, and on returning the car, the Drivalia staff member spent ages examining it until he found 2 more small dents on the bodywork, claiming that I had put them there. Fortunately, my wife and I had good photos of the car, and were able to prove the dents were there when we picked it up. In June when I arrived at Drivalia they informed me that my card, used to block off 1400 euros for the damage excess (I have my own excess insurance policy), was invalid as it did not show my full name – it only has my initial and surname on it. I used the same card when I booked in April and there wasn't a problem then. I was informed that I would receive the car if I paid for their excess insurance, costing 25 euros a day. As my card had already been refused and they wouldn’t accept cash, they wouldn’t give me the car that I had already paid for! I was left off airport without a car. Disgraceful customer service. I shall never use Drivalia again. Be warned if you have your own excess insurance. Take good photos of every panel of the car on pick-up, and make sure your credit card has your full name on it.

Excellent experience

Our experience with Drivalia was excellent. When my partner fell over, two of their members of staff rushed to help and checked he was okay. One of the suitcases had torn open my hand and one of them rushed to find paper towels. He then came back with a bandage and some antiseptic and made a brilliant job of cleaning and bandaging my hand. He also insisted I went straight to hospital to get it stitched up. When we returned the car I found his name is Angel - to whom I am eternally grateful. The car was superb in every way. Needless to say, I highly recommend Drivalia.

Fantastic service from start to finish

Fantastic service from start to finish! The shuttle transfer from the airport was perfectly smooth and quick. When I arrived at the desk after a long, delayed flight, Yahya was there to greet me. He was both incredibly professional and genuinely friendly, making me feel so welcome as a client right away. He completely turned a stressful travel day around. Thank you, Yahya!

I’ve been using Drivalia for around 20…

I’ve been using Drivalia for around 20 years for work and holidays. The staff are always super helpful and I recommend the “Ultimate Package” for worry free car hire. I have used all the car hire companies at Alicante Airport over the years and in my experience Drivalia are the best. John, Igor, Silvia all deserve a special mention for their hard work and attention. Gracias

I would give 0 stars if I could.

I arrived at the Drivalia desk with all the required documents and a Monzo Mastercard credit card for the €1,400 security deposit. The employee said they don't accept cards from online-only banks but seemed unsure whether Monzo qualified. He used a public website vccgenerator.org to check my card and then told me it was "from Nigeria", which made me feel like I was being scammed because I know Monzo is a UK-licensed bank with the same obligations as any other bank.

The only solution offered was to buy Drivalia's insurance. Once I paid to reduce the excess to zero, I suddenly didn't need a credit card anymore. It felt like I was being pushed into buying insurance.

When I refused, I wasn't given any other option of payment, so I walked away frustrated. The employee was very unprofessional and called me "burro con palas" (an idiot) during our argument and refused to give me anything in writing explaining why the vehicle was denied.

What worried me most was that my card was checked using a random public website that wasn't even using HTTPS.

The frustrating part is that I rented from Drivalia in Portugal about a year ago using exactly the same Monzo Mastercard credit card, and it was accepted without any issues.

Avoid Drivalia. Terrible customer service, inconsistent policies, and completely unprofessional behaviour.

OK, thank you

Cristina handled the handover to us quickly and smoothly, and we got an almost new car - thank you! When we returned the car, it wasn’t clear which counter we were supposed to wait in line at for returns. Presumably, all the counters handle both. That's a shame, because returns take much less time than pickups, so you end up waiting unnecessarily long to return a car. At some point, an employee who came in from the garage took our car keys, disappeared briefly, and when he came back, he continued working at a counter without saying anything to us. After a while, we asked if everything was okay and if we could leave. He was surprised by our question, since as far as he was concerned, the matter had long since been settled. We did not receive a confirmation of the return.

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs! Worst rental company.

We had so much trouble with hiring our car from Drivalia.
And now they are emailing me saying I owe them money when I do not and this is the first I’ve heard of it. We returned the car nearly a week ago, upon return we were told everything is fine (as it should be), and out of no where I have just got an email saying I owe them money! No invoices, no proof, nothing.
Avoid Drivalia, the cars are bad quality and the shuttle bus didn’t even turn up to take us from the airport.
