Our trip planned by Diamond Skies was beyond our expectations. The guides in each city were excellent, the hotels were convenient and very nice, and the visit to the winery on the way from Sienna to Rome was an unforgettable experience.

How can you legitimately have a travel experience where each day is better than the next? If someone had told me that this was possible, I would have looked at them skeptically. But this is exactly how my Diamond Skies trip to Bhutan went. Bhutan isn't very well known, and the first adventure you have is getting there in the first place, but it is a truly amazing country that is worth every hour getting to. Perhaps the most striking thing about Bhutan is the sense of peace that prevails throughout the country. Even in busy Thimphu. I have truly never felt anything like it. From the minute we boarded the Drukair flight in Kathmandu, everything was different. The Paro airport is an experience in itself; even the luggage carousels are beautiful.

We were greeted by our local guide and driver shortly after we cleared customs. We couldn't have been in better hands. Diamond Skies' Bhutanese partner was amazing. Dawa, our local guide was extremely attentive and engaging. He met all of our questions with an eagerness to either tell us or find out the answer. I don't even know where to begin complimenting our driver Kezang's maneuvering skills. He somehow got our van through places I thought were impassable, around the countless cows who assumed they own the countryside roads, and past obstacles that formed after a night of very heavy rain. And he did it all with an outwardly calm demeanor.

The itinerary was expertly put together. The trip was timed to coincide with the Thimphu Tshechu festival and it was an incredible experience. Not only were the monks, the dances, and the chants on display, but also the warmth and friendliness of the Bhutanese people. Noticing that I was standing, at one point a Bhutanese family offered me a place to sit with them and even shared their food with me. I was incredibly touched. A few days later, one of my fellow travelers had a similar experience at the local Gangtey Temple festival. Besides the festivals, we hiked, visited monasteries, stupas, and giant Buddhas, saw takins and black neck cranes at conservancy centers, tried our luck with Bhutanese archery and even did a Bhutanese hot stone bath.

After 10 beautiful days in Bhutan, it was time to move on to our extension in Nepal. Once again, Diamond Skies found an incredible partner and we were very well taken care of. The journey from Kathmandu to Chitwan National Park was not easy thanks to a late season monsoon (the same storm that trapped climbers on Mt. Everest). But our guide Deepak and our driver made it as comfortable as possible. I particularly loved that during our time in Nepal, we did things that are not usually the first choice of tourists. Most go to Nepal to trek in the Himalayans or climb Mt. Everest. We went to the jungle and had an incredible encounter with a rhinoceros. And our cultural days in Kathmandu were absolutely lovely.

I'm not sure how they do it, but each of my Diamond Skies trips is somehow better than the last. And they all have been incredible. From a client perspective, everything ran seamlessly between them and their partners in Bhutan and Nepal. You can tell that Diamond Skies takes the time to thoughtfully plan as many of the details as possible, from hotels to activities and beyond, and it really makes all the difference in the world. Alice in the office provided timely communication leading up to our departure. Lucy checked-in while we were in-country to make sure everything was going well. And when I decided while on the trip to extend my time in Kathmandu, it was no problem for Diamond Skies to move my airport transfer to my new departure date. Our Diamond Skies tour manager, Thomas, was with us throughout our experiences in both Bhutan and Nepal. He is a gem of a human being, as well as a gem of a tour manager. If you're reading this and you've never been on tour with him, e-mail Diamond Skies immediately and get yourself on one of his tours. It will be one of the best things you've ever done. I've already booked my next one, to Spain in spring 2026, and I can't wait for another dazzling Diamond Skies experience.

We recently returned from another amazing trip with Diamond Skies Travel. 5 days in Oaxaca City and 5 days on the coast in Mazunte. As usual Lucy and Alice were amazing with ideas and getting the trip set up and Pilar our tour manager in Mexico was knowledgable, flexible and a wealth of local knowledge. Diamond Skies makes the hard uncomfortable parts of travel such as tipping, last minute changes, dinner reservations easy. They take care of it all. As guests/tourists we get to do the fun parts. Historical Sites like Monte Alban and the Cathedral/Museum were amazing. Touring local Markets and tasting unusual foods were also made very easy by Pilar. The Crocodile experience and learning about the Alebrijes at the place that inspired them was amazing. The opportunity to release dozens of baby turtles was also a highlight of the trip. Pilar was also great at sharing her favorite little places, such as a great coffee shop that we would have never found. Snorkeling, Cocktail making and Cooking classes were also done first class and just the correct amount of time. We chose to stay in just two hotels the entire time and they were both great especially the Zoa on the coast in Mazunte. This was our second trip with Diamond Skies and there will be more.

My experience exploring Southern France with Thomas on the MS Anne-Marie was amazing. This trip was so well planned and organized. It provided the right mixture of history and culture. Every stop offered something new and unique. We explored beautiful walled towns and medieval villages along the Rhône-Sète Canal. Small buses took us to off the beaten path villages thigh above gorges, natural bridges, and cliffs that offered breath taking panoramic views. Unforgettable experience were: seeing the papal home of Avignon, the Roman ruins in Arles, the walled city of Aigues-Mortes, the church of Sainte-Marie-de-la Mer, hearing about the Cathars; a religious sect from the 13th and 14th century, learning and sampling wine, olives, and shellfish, discovering a manade, touring the salt marshes, seeing the beautiful Camargue horses grazing along the canal, the pink flamingos and the herons hiding in the marshes. In Aix-en-Provence we enjoyed the vibrant market where we shopped for ingredients before preparing and cooking our lunch with Gilles in his private home. An event not to be missed. The crew on the MS Anne-Marie was outgoing and friendly. Marc, the chef on board the MS Anne-Marie barge prepared three meals each day, from a wonderful breakfast buffet, to mouth watering three course lunches and dinners of the local cuisine. The meals were paired with the famous Rosé, white and red wines of the region. What he was able to prepare in his kitchen was pure magic. This was my first experience on a barge and with Diamond Skies Travel. I would not hesitate to go on another barge excursion. I also liked the small group size; everybody I met was out going and friendly. Thanks again to Thomas and Diamond Skies Travel for making this an unforgettable experience.

The Diamond Skies tour started in Aix-en-Provence with the group going shopping at the local market followed by a Provence cookery course ending with a lunch which we had all prepared and some lovely wine. What better way to get everybody to know each other.
This was followed by an excellent itinerary including 6 nights on a river cruise visiting so many interesting and variant places we would never have found out.
Tourist visits in the mornings followed by a perfect lunch plus wine on board prepared by a French chef while we were sailing to the next location. An extra plus was to be looked after by a fantastic crew.
Thomas was the best ever tour manager. So much local knowledge including visits to little hidden gems like the village of Minerve. Another great factor is a tour manager speaking the language whether in France or Spain. No tour will ever go completely without a few problems. If that was the case Thomas must have sorted them out without any of us noticing.
The tour eventually ended in Barcelona.
All in all a great balance between visits, information and relaxation. The Diamond Skies tour was superb from start to finish.

Cruising down the Rhine canal in southern France was every bit of a dream come true. It was an amazing trip. We had a group of 18 and our boat was somewhat smaller but that made it so nice to really get to know everyone in our group. The crew for the Anna Marie was so wonderful and warm they saw to every detail with such professionalism. The food, the food, the food 😘😘 was so wonderful. I truly looked forward to every meal!

Thomas Randall was our guide and put together an amazing itinerary. We visited so many beautiful villages, towns, markets, and even a bull farm. We had a great ratio of free time and activity time. Thomas always has a great grasp of the history which really added to the charm of what we were seeing.
I am having a hard time picking one favorite thing. But Thomas had arranged a chef to meet us at the market in Aix au Provence and then take us to his house/ranch so we could cook all we picked out at the market. What a great bonding event for us all to get to know each other and what we cooked was amazing!! I’ll never forget all our laughter and chatter that afternoon. ❤️❤️

This trip was marvelous. The places visited were fascinating; the sights seen were amazing. Our guides were excellent. It was truly a memorable, unique experience and one of the most enjoyable trips I've ever experienced.

We saw so many wonderful things. And the best part was that we did not run into a lot of tourists. The ship was very comfortable and the crew was very accommodating. The state rooms are small, but the beds are very comfortable and the bathroom had a nice shower. Everybody on board was friendly and we enjoyed meeting our follow travelers. Thomas made sure all our needs were met.

Traveling with a group of college friends, we wanted the experience to be stress-free — and that’s exactly what we got.

Both our guide and driver were personable, professional, and caring. We never had to worry about logistics — everything ran smoothly, allowing us to simply enjoy our time together and soak up every moment.

Lucy and her staff at Diamond Skies travel planned a fabulous experience for me and 7 other ladies on a trip that was from 5/21 - 5/30. Every part of our journey was planned for us, from being picked up at the airport to transport to the various experiences that were planned. This trip was a great overview of the islands of Corfu and Paxos. Weather prevented our excursion to Antipaxos, but the captain of our boat took us on a wonderful trip and provided a fabulous lunch onboard! Every person who was responsible for the different experiences was highly knowledgeable, friendly, and personable! Even our daily transport driver, Vasilli, was helpful, kind and friendly. We had an incredible experience at our cooking school where we made and enjoyed a traditional Greek meal. Christos, our host, was patient and so enjoyable! Everyone loved it! We also toured an olive grove and learned about the history and importance of growing olives to the production of high quality olive oil. This was followed by an olive oil tasting. There was a walking tour of Corfu that we did. The walking tour host, Alice, has to be one of the most knowledgeable persons about an area that I’ve ever experienced. Everything about this walking tour was fantastic. Alice KNOWS Corfu and her history. This was combined with very humorous dialogue along the way. AThroughout our trip we had the most amazing and accommodating tour director, Artemis. Even though a trip can be planned with every single detail attended to, things don’t always go as planned. One day our itinerary was to be at the beach and catch up with each other. (We came together from various locations across the United States for this trip) The weather wasn’t going to be pleasant for beach time so Artemis was able to find a very fun and special, unique experience for us. That day was also the celebration of Corfu’s Independence. We had the opportunity to witness this historical day. From the numerous bands in the parade to uniformed divisions of their military service's, to the celebratory atmosphere of the people of Corfu. We also learned about the famous Durrell’s, of Corfu; especially Lawrence and Gerald. Corfu was the location for a series that was produced for PBS and ultimately shown through prime video about this family. A few of our women had experienced watching that and felt it would be a great trip. That’s how this trip idea was born. Artemis took care of everything for us when ‘boots were on the ground’. Sometimes directing eight women over the age of 60 can be like herding cats. Artemis took it all in stride and never missed a beat. She was awesome and after being with her for 8 days, we all were sad to say goodbye. This entire trip was planned and executed through Diamond Skies Travel. I had a wonderful, fun, blast of a time! I highly recommend this trip not only for small groups but families too could benefit and enjoy this trip. Again, I can’t say enough about our ‘Serenity in the Ionian’ experience. This was an exceptional trip. Met and exceeded my expectations in every way. The accommodations and meals were wonderful. Our tour guide Artemis did a fantastic job of balancing the agenda with our requested changes. On top of that, Artemis is an extremely personable, caring person, the kind you want to have for a friend. I really cannot say enough good things about her and the job she did. Diamond Skies Travel Made Me Rethink Everything

As someone who frequently travels the world, my usual style is spontaneous—arriving at a destination with no real plan and letting the journey unfold. I’ve always loved the thrill of surprises. But after traveling with Diamond Skies Travel, I’m seriously rethinking that approach.

From the moment we booked, the experience was seamless. The team was incredibly informative, their descriptions were spot-on, and the customer care was next level. Our group of eight college friends came with different ideas, energy levels, and interests—but Diamond Skies handled it all with ease.

Our guide, Artemis, was simply incredible she was our private guide and we were 8 in our group. Her knowledge, enthusiasm, and warmth elevated every moment. She wasn’t just guiding us—she was with us, sharing in the fun and adjusting plans based on how we felt. That flexibility made all the difference. If it rained, we pivoted. If we were tired, meals and activities were adjusted accordingly.

These weren’t your typical tours. One day we had a private yacht, another day a private sailboat. We tasted olive oils, dined on phenomenal local cuisine, and even learned to cook traditional Greek food with one of the most entertaining chefs I’ve ever met. Whether you love cooking or not, he made everyone feel included and inspired. I left with a whole new appreciation for preparing a beautiful meal.

As for accommodations—we were absolutely spoiled. Over 10 days, we stayed at two incredible resorts as we journeyed from Corfu to Paxos. One had private pools, and the other was a quiet, intimate hideaway overlooking calm, turquoise waters. I loved being able to unpack and truly relax in each location.

Transportation Experience
Our driver was absolutely fantastic—knowledgeable, engaging, and always ready with a smile and enthusiasm for the next leg of our journey. It made a big difference having someone so welcoming and fun leading us from place to place. There were 9 of us in total, and the spacious tour shuttle, with over 25 seats, gave us plenty of room to spread out, relax, and mingle with fellow travelers. It added an extra layer of comfort and camaraderie to an already amazing trip.

Diamond Skies set up an amazing trip for us, first class from beginning to end! This was a group of 8 old college mates who traveled to Corfu and Paxos and Diamond Skies treated us to a truly wonderful experience! Our guide throughout the trip became a dear friend and handled our silly group beautifully! The accommodations they set up were awesome. The side experiences (cooking class, olive grove tour and tasting, sunset boat rides, etc.) were both educational and really fun. The restaurants varied from cute, local cafes to view-filled 5 star. All were delicious! (Especially the donuts! I still dream of the donut holes!). This is a 5 star organization!

Honestly no words could really describe the wonderful time we had in Japan for 2 weeks. The Diamond Sky team did an amazing job cultivating experiences, finding unique and luxurious accommodations, and overall supporting us with fantastic tour guides the whole time. Highly recommend making your way off the beaten path into Gujo and Yamagata prefecture as the people are welcoming and the scenery is amazing. Of course Tokyo and Kyoto are no brainers and we had a wonderful time with the cultural sites and the nightlife. We can’t thank the team enough for a once-in-a-lifetime (hopefully not) experience that our group won’t forget.

It was a fabulous mom/daughter trip to Barcelona! Lucy and team carefully listened to our interests and crafted the ideal itinerary. From biking, Vespa riding and walking tours to cooking classes and Salsa lessons, each day was varied and filled with activities we love. Lucy offered ideas which we would not have considered on our own, like a spectacular 2 hour hike along the coastline from Villanova to Sitges. Excellent transportation arrangements as well as a beautiful packed lunch for our day trip to Montserrat made it easy to remain immersed in the experience. Our recent family trip to London and Paris, organized by Diamond Skies, was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we began planning until we returned home, every detail was perfectly handled, thanks to our amazing travel agent, Susi.

We just recently returned to the states from an amazing two week trip to Puglia, Calabria and Sicily. From the moment we were picked up at the airport in Brindisi until we were dropped off in Palermo the professionalism and personal care that we were shown by Diamond Skies was amazing. All the of the pre trip planning done by Lucy and Susi was so easy and interactive and then the Tour Manager Giulia was engaging, smart, fun and very accommodating. The Hotels and Masseria we stayed at were all first rate especially the ones in Lecce and Taormina. Diamond Skies arranged for 3 cooking classes, multiple wine tastings, a very fun cocktail making class, a great bike ride in Puglia and trip to Mt. Etna. Giulia's local knowledge and command of the language made travel so easy. I have been a tour manager in the past and can appreciate the time and effort that goes into such detailed planning. In each city we would have a local guide and the ones in Matera, Palermo and Mt. Etna were exceptional. We had multiple drivers throughout and they were all friendly and very professional, Prior to returning home we were already discussing with Giulia were to book next and since returning we have contacted Susi about a another trip to Naples and the Amalfi Coast. I highly recommend Diamond Skies for wherever in the World you are planning on visiting.

Our family of four had a wonderful trip to Slovenia, all planned by Diamond Skies. Christine and Susi, our main points of contact, were professional and organized. They communicated well and were available as needed throughout the trip. They hired a wonderful driver for us and selected top-notch tour guides in our locations.
