Kelly was such a big help to us. He gave me quotes, and informtion on products. Then he completed all the application forms for me to get it all started. In the end I was approved for an amazing life insurance plan.

You couldn't have a better agent. He was kind and made sure I understood what insurance I had and what I was getting. He should train other agents and teach them how to work with a diabetic.

ZERO stars. Should of read the negative reviews first. MATT L. SCHMIDT was harassful and burdensome. It's clear I haven't been the only one to feel this way (see previous reviews with the same experience). Sending multiple emails repeating his last email (to which I had not yet replied to) then "closing my file" which is clearly a tactic to try to pressure someone to quickly buy the insurance, because I hadn't responded within his allowed time frame (3 days). His exact words were that I was the problem because I couldn't "answer a simple question". He sent a 2,600 (!!!!) word email for me to try to comb through and then didn't approve of me taking time to look it over. I've never experienced a sales tactic as bad as his before. It became more clear with each passing email that he didn't want to spend any time finding me a policy but instead wanted to quickly make a sale and move on. Never ever ever would I recommend. There are so many other companies out there that will take better care of you without pressuring you into a policy. These policies are long term so think very wisely. Sure as heck would not want a 20/30 year relationship with him or this company as my policy holder.

***Editing after their response: Proof here in the way they handle their clients. Condescendingly saying "we hope this reply isn't too long for you". Being upset an inquirer didn't respond within 72 hours!!! in the middle of their week, about how they'd like to move forward with/without testing??? and then typing that out and still posting it as a representation of how they treat others. This shows that they will continue to treat prospective clients the exact same and don't see their actions as childish/unprofessional as they are. Thankful to actually be a part of the T1D community so I can share this review not only online, but in person with others who should steer clear. How disappointing to have this company represent the diabetes community. They don't deserve to have such a distinction. We have found someone that doesn't claim to be diabetes "life solution" and they were more sincere and helpful to us in the first conversation and we couldn't be more thankful. There is much better out there. Please go look, talk to more than one person/company. But skip this one, save yourself the time and trouble.

I had gotten denied from a major life insurance provider and I needed a policy before a specific deadline. I found licensed agent, Mike Schmidt and Diabetes Life Solutions. Mike was able to get coverage for me at an affordable price and within the time deadline I needed it by. I highly recommend Mike Schmidt. He is caring, he listened to what I needed and he found a policy within my budget. Mike kept on top of the process with updates and delivered. I could not ask for a better agent than Mike Schmidt.

I worked with Matt Schmidt who was absolutely lovely throughout the entire process. Honestly, I had looked for life insurance on my own in the past, and being diabetic, the rates I was getting on my own (despite being otherwise healthy and in my 20's at the time) were exorbitant. Matt took his time to walk through multiple options with me, ask me questions, and communicate exceptionally well throughout the entire process. I honestly don't think I've felt as comfortable with a representative I've never met in person before. I found the Diabetes Life Solutions site through Reddit, and I'm eternally grateful that I did as this gives me a way to plan for my future, and that of my kids as well, and ensure that my family will be protected.

Matt is very knowledgable, helpful, communicative and shepered me through the entire process from initial application to medical examination and beyond. Amazing service and amazing individual! I secured the life insurance I needed and could not recommend Diabetes Life Solutions more!

Mr. bob Schmidt was very good at what he does. If you had more custom service reps like him the world would be a better place. Very much helpful and know his job well, that's the only agent I care to work with. Remember Customer Service is everything and he is the only one who knew how to get me my insurance.

I cannot put into words my gratitude for Matt and his company. I had a term policy expiring and needed to get another in place. I have been given the run around by several companies that say they can get a person with Type 1 diabetes insured but never came through. I was always denied simply based on diabetes. Matt and his team worked with real underwriters and actually walked them through my medical history. They were able to get me a very reasonable term life insurance policy when others said I was uninsurable, having diabetes for 40 years. Diabetes Life Solutions is the real deal. My worry was because I’m diabetic I couldn’t find life insurance. Matt assured me he could help me out and after almost being with him for a year, he found me an even better policy. This place gave me a little bit more ease in my life to know my family will be taken care of, if something happens to me.
