Stolen SSD disk from Amazon order
I ordered an SSD disk from Amazon, which was delivered by DHL Cyprus. Upon receiving the envelope I innocently signed for its delivery. When I opened the envelope i immediately realised it was tampered with; indeed, the item I ordered was not inside the envelope. As you can see in the attached image, it is clear, DHL staff stole the disk, a small and very light item. When I didn’t find the missing item I contacted the delivery man, he said he didn’t know anything about my missing item and informed me that he was going to get his boss to contact me. I never heard from his boss or anyone from DHL. I attempted to get the matter investigated by Amazon who confirmed that I had signed for the delivery of the item and as such I had no case. Folks, beware, DHL employ thieving staff with very creative tactics like the one used on me. Never EVER sign for any item before you check yourself it is in the case/envelope and it is actually working . Also check for tampering with envelope seal; open the envelope or case in front of the delivery people before you sign for it. Do NOT sign for the item if you haven’t checked its existence . DHL Cyprus are turning into a crook shop by the sound of it. I have heard several cases like mine from my mates in Limassol and Paphos. To whoever stole my item, I hope you choke on it, I wish you nothing but ill-health and misfortune. Perhaps your tactics are endorsed by your management.
Any half decent management would never allow theft within courier orhanisation.
Useless
Sorry, your service is useless. I left a personal effect in a hotel in the USA, they sent it to me in the UK, you tried to charge me £2600 custom clearance for an item that is mine already, I challenged this and you asked for a PDF which I completed. You agreed to release my watch to me and deliver to my address in the UK, then you changed your mind and decided to send it back to the sender in the USA, now it is at US customs and guess what!? You want to charge me $2500 for customs back into the USA! I can’t talk to anyone with enough intelligence or authority to help me, your chat service is an automated bot that won’t put me through to a human. From my experience you are completely useless.
DHL Express Bulgaria is the worst ever.
DHL Express Bulgaria is the worst ever.
They do not communicate and communicate very unclear. They just hang up the phone in the middle of e conversation when it gets difficult for them. Supplying them the information they need, they do nothing with that information, only ask for it over and over. So stay away from DHL Express Bulgaria
They misdelivered my package to Amazon…
They misdelivered my package to Amazon instead of BHPhoto. This was a return item and would you believe even in this modern digital world to get it wrongly delivered. Luckily for me BHPhoto immediately placed a second order, but unfortunately they would not pay the Taxes and Duties and I ended up paying $209 for the mess and 3 week of wait for my package.
DHL SOUTH AFRICA used to be a great…
DHL SOUTH AFRICA used to be a great company to deal with ,don't know what happened
Unfortunately, the degradation in service levels gets more apparent with every delivery I receive from them
WAKE UP ! DHL SOUTH AFRICA your service rendering is now worse than FedEx here in SA ...........
VERY DISAPOINTED
DHL changed my address to the wrong…
DHL changed my address to the wrong address then complained to me that the address was wrong. They kept saying it was the wrong address even after I updated to the correct address. The also insisted that I be home to sign for the package even though the package was not shipped requiring a signature. They refused to fix the signature issue even after the seller contacted them about this. They were more than happy to send the package back which is what eventually happened. They also lied saying they attempted delivery. I have never in my life checked to see what delivery option a seller is using but I will from now on. DHL has terrible customer service and they lie. The rep had the audacity to tell me that my address was wrong because the address name was not written as one word. Unprofessional, a waste of time and did I mention they lie. I understand that all the delivery companies have their issues but DHL is the only one I felt compelled to write a review for because of the unnecessary debacle they put me through. After reading through these complaints I see a trend.
the guy came to my door ,didn t knock…
the guy came to my door ,didn t knock or used the door bell...And left with my envelope!!!!!
Then DHL sent me a message saying the driver took the envelope back because nobody was home!!!!!!
VERY VERY BAD SERVICE!!!!!!!!
FRAUDULENT delivery confirmation of LEGAL DOCUMENTS
Zero stars not permitted so I had to leave at least one star. DHL left fraudulent delivery confirmation info! Here is the full story: They attempted to deliver LEGAL DOCUMENTS (which of course need to be signed for) from Germany to a member of our household in Tampa. On 3/15 and again on 3/16 they left notices on the door that they attempted delivery. The 3/16 notice said it was the last attempt. Then on 3/24 they left the envelope on the ground in front of the door and recorded in their system that the item was successfully delivered. The next day a member of the household returned the envelope, unopened, to this DHL Express Service point at 6431 E County Line Rd, Tampa, FL 33647 and told the clerk that the person the envelope is addressed to is not here to accept delivery, and that DHL should return the envelope to the sender. The clerk refused and said that it could only be returned if it was accepted, opened and re-packaged it and if we paid the return postage. It was explained to the clerk that these are LEGAL DOCUMENTS and that another member of the household is not authorized to accept delivery. The envelope was then left on the counter and photographed, with the outside of the DHL facility also photographed. Yet almost three weeks later the DHL tracking website still shows that the envelope WAS DELIVERED on 3/24. This could have serious legal ramifications for the intended recipient! It is also NOT the proper way to serve legal papers from Germany to a person in the U.S. Since DHL is a German company, is it possible that they are trying to help their compatriots in Germany by providing "delivery confirmation" of legal documents to U.S. citizens? I am just a layperson but I would think that DHL could be sued for this conduct, and perhaps even prosecuted for committing what is arguably MAIL FRAUD. I do not recommend using DHL if they are this dishonest and unethical in their business practices!
Ineffective bureaucratic nonsense
DHL has provided some packages on time and in good order, but the customer service can be infuriating.
I recently received a damaged package from DHL and started a painful and fruitless customer service odyssey. I went from emailing the only human that communicated with me to calling customer service which eventually got me to the claims process. I spent considerable time putting together photos and other required information for the claim, waited two weeks and was informed that only the shipper can put in the claim (note: I'm in Canada and the shipper is in Spain). The shipper wasn't responsible for the damage, knew nothing about the claim and shouldn't receive any compensation for my damaged package. I then spent over a month emailing the shipper with claim details and follow ups only to be completely ignored resulting in a dead end. DHL Canada refused to communicate with CBSA, DHL Spain or the shipper and just washed their hands with me so now I just have a damaged package. I guess I should just expect bureaucratic nonsense from a large company but that doesn't make me feel any better.
poor communication skills
appalled by the communication skills of the customer service and the longwinded customs process to get my personal belongings from the UK to Germany.

Asked for pics of item.
Later asked for pics of box.
Later asked for a non-receipt form to be filled in by recipient and e-signed.
Now asking for item to inspected, they will collect it.
Collected it then asked for more pics of it which i cant get them as they have the item.
Finally got a payout.
Delivery was half an hour early.
Texted at 8am to say delivery would be between 11:36 and 12:36 but it was delivered at 11:03. I got my parcel and everything's fine but don't give super specific delivery windows if you can't keep to them.
Who needs customer service from humans anyway?
Although I'm happiest writing positive online reviews, this seems to be happening less and less these days – and I sometimes feel the UK is like a developing world country. DHL Express...prime example.
I'm awaiting delivery of a piano and they notified me yesterday they estimated to deliver by the end of the day. There was no indication as to what 'the end of the day' actually means, but I figured I'd need to stay home all day and evening, until it arrived. You can probably see where this is going...the delivery never came.
Now I appreciate the many things that can go wrong in the logistics of a delivery business, and I'm sympathetic to this cause, but what I object to is not being updated. I've not had any contact from DHL whatsoever. What I find equally concerning, is that there's nobody you can speak to in person to find out what's going on. Are we really moving towards a world where businesses think it's appropriate to have computerised customer services with no human available when the computer can't help? That's worrying!
While DHL state on their website 'Our customer service teams are available to call on the phone,' the number they provide doesn't seem to offer this service and the automated system simply cuts you off if it can't help. Nice touch DHL!
I've tried every other means of getting an update from them. Their tracking by phone doesn't recognise my shipment number and their 'online chat' service has nobody available to chat.
Meanwhile, they're ploughing money into Google AdSense to get more business. I think that dosh would be far better spent providing some decent (human) support for their existing customers.
They must pick their delivery times out of the hat
Why does this company always give a delivery time of a one hour slot around lunch time. Then not deliver until almost 6pm.
They have now done this 3 times.
It is really very hard to use dhl in UK
It is really very hard to use dhl services in the UK. I have used it in other countries and it was working fine because of the presence of dhl offices. The idea of using service points in the UK is a disaster. Have your own offices if you want to succeed or go out of the market.
Do not use this useless courier
Do not use this useless courier! their dumb imbecile drivers don't have a sense of how to find the right address. I hope they go bust!
So bad, it’s shocking.
No exaggeration: this was a traumatic experience. My package was put on hold by US customs for some reason DHL could not identify and would not take responsibility for. My package sat in a holding facility for two weeks and DHL sent me no status updates. I made repeated calls to their customer care line and each time was told they would call me back by 5 PM on the next business day, which they never did. A few days later I checked the tracking number and the system told me the package had been delivered to me and signed for by me. When I reported this was not the case, they should have started a trace immediately, but it wasn’t until the following week when I called customer care in tears that someone finally decided I was worth the effort to help. Apparently someone at the holding facility had erroneously changed the status. I suppose it could’ve been worse, as I was eventually able to get them to hold the package where it had sat for three weeks and then I retrieved it. They took no responsibility for this debacle and would not refund me the money I paid for express shipping. I am amazed these guys are still in business.
Complete joke
Complete joke. Box marked fragile all over the box. They’ve clearly stacked other boxes on top of it. Squashed it all and broken my item. Couldn’t believe how squashed the box was. So angry.
MISSING PARCEL
Again Should have an option on here for No stars , just black Crosses perhaps. Absolutely shoddy and Shambolic service, my parcel was delayed , then delivered to a random person called Mary apparently today, well lucky Mary , ive no idea, and you cannot contact these at all not on phone its only automated and there online system doesn't work last 3 days so i couldn't even go on and select a day that i was home. I DID NOT WANT MY ITEM DELIVERED TO ANY NEIGHBOURS, we dont all have great neighbours and i dont know so why the hell leave my parcel with someone i DONT KNOW and I HAD GIVEN NO INSTRUCTIONS TO DO. I am now seeking my FULL REFUND FROM JOHN LEWIS, THEY SHOULD LEARN NOT TO USE YOU ALTHOUGH THEY ARE SHAMBOLIC enough on their on. IM SO FURIOUS.
