The house was easy to find, access, and enter. The bed was soft and inviting, clean and enjoyable. The room size was cramped and sparse, and created less than the best movement and storage options. Fo... See more

It’s fun staying in a historic place in a historic part of town that’s so close to and walkable so many things. We couldn’t adjust the room temperature so our room was very cold. It would be helpful... See more
Situated in the East End Historic District, this relaxing experience is neighbor to Galveston’s downtown shopping district, and is a frequent witness to departing cruise ships, en route to intriguing destinations. An assortment of fine dining, live music, art galleries and cafés are also minutes away.

Private house in residential area with minimal on-street parking capacity. Room was comfortable but 2 things were bothersome: first, the sink to wash your hands after using the toilet is out of the bathroom; second, the sink itself is so small and tucked up against the wall that there’s a bath mat for use because even with your head against the wall, you WILL make a mess and dribble all over the floor when brushing your teeth or try to wash you face.
I just wish I’d have known this wasn’t a hotel at the time I made the reservation (I don’t recall ever seeing that on the website). It’s not that the room wasn’t comfortable- it was (with the exception of the aforementioned sink issue) but we didn’t have the amenities I was expecting that are normally available in a hotel.
The house was super cute. The design through out was very nice. Our room was nice & comfortable. I liked the coffee bar. We stayed there with 2 other couple.we all enjoyed our stay before boarding a cruise line. We will recognize it to friends.

We were there for 1 night before our cruise. Everything was good. Got in easy, and had a parking pass for our car.

The only problem was the remote for the ceiling fan didn’t work.

The location is good
The room clean but small.
The automatic locks are very difficult to us. Not enough hot water for tao showers.
The price is too high for the services
I would give you five stars but you should think about changing the beds. They are extremely too soft. We were in quite a bit of pain when we got up in the morning. Other than that our stay was wonderful. The room was clean and very quiet, loved the big shower. The location is 5 minutes from food, entertainment, and the cruise pier.
Domum de Vence is a great stay! It has all the necessities and is located in the beautiful historic district

We had a great stay my only complaint is that is a little hard to find this place.

Nice and pleasant place to stay. Door locks were a little confusing at first. Some vending machines would be nice where the long bench seat was by the stairs. Handrails needed at the stairs leading up to the porch.
Manager should be there around 3pm. Many customers are moving in then. Many questions needed to be answered. Should pose a phone number there at obvious place for us to call...
In addition, there are 2 outside doors. Only the main one on market st works. The side door on 17th st doesn't. If someone like me misses the one on market, has to walk around to the other door with all the luggages. Very inconvenient too...
Finally met your manager next morning around 10am. She was working very hard, putting away tea machine stuff, cleaning rooms. Too busy for me to talk with her for more than a few seconds...

The outside grass wasn’t well kept. The ad was leading the guest to believe the space had multiple rooms. It was easy check In and out. I thought the place was more high-end from the pics
Tv controller didn't work... didn't keep coffee station filled. Went and bought sugar.
Great location, nice room, felt safe, loved the coffee. The only complaint I have is the bed was hard to get in and out with two people, because you could only get in on one side of the bed. Will stay there again.

Room was a little bit small. Made getting up in the middle of the night hard. Otherwise it was great
Lovely historic building and satisfactory accommodations for our needs the night before our cruise. Our room was small but for the most part functional. Wish there was a bit more space for items in the bathroom but for one night it was fine.
Small but comfortable....very affordable. Close to several restaurants...easy walk. Can walk to downtown Galveston. Great for a one day layover before or after a cruise.

The location was awesome. Very close to the Strand with shopping, bars and restaurants. Parking was easy. The room was small, but clean and cute. We couldn't get the TV to work, so directions may help, but everything else was wonderful.

This old home turned into a multi room hotel was very conveniently located for what we wanted to do in Galveston. For the most part it was clean and had everything we needed. The host communication was clear and easy to follow. They were very responsive.

Very nice rooms, exceptional location. Perfect for a night before or after a cruise. Enjoyed it very much, spotlessly clean.

Clean, easy to enter.
Suggestion: do not allow smoking on front steps or porch. Add sitting chairs on porch
