The Design Centre is the glittering centrepiece of Birmingham's fabulous Jewellery Quarter - we've been going there for nearly 30 years. Last visited 30 April to buy a ring for my wife's 60th birthday present. Again looked after by the lovely Tina - she has the patience of a saint and really knows her stuff. She recognised a ring my wife was wearing as being from their store - we bought it 15 years ago. She won't be happy until you're happy! And my wife left very, very happy. Beautiful jewellery at fabulous prices - the whole team are lovely. Thanks again - we'll think of you when my wife finally gets to open her gift in California next month!

Excellent customer care. Really friendly, not pushy. Took time, listening to my needs, before finding me my beautiful diamond and setting. Picked up my gorgeous new ring 2 days later! My son also bought a watch, which was a great price! I highly recommend The Design Centre when looking for jewellery in the jewellery quarter! I will definitely be returning to buy some new diamond earrings!

We have just bought our wedding rings here and have had such an amazing experience. We went in to so many different stores in the jewellery quarter but returned to the design centre as they could not be beaten on price and customer experience everyone was so lovely and we have had such a fantastic time and so pleased with our gorgeous rings thank you x

We just came back home after purchasing wedding bands from Design Centre , all people were very welcoming ,especially we want to say big thanks to Bina , she was very great and helped us to decide what we want, she was a great listener and gave great advices for choosing the perfect rings. So happy we cannot wait now for our wedding day when we can start wearing them , biggest recommendations!! xx

The customer service at Design centre is excellent, me and my fiancé went last weekend to have a look at some wedding bands. We’ve been to a couple of shops and got recommended design centre by a family member. We were spoilt for choice when we arrived as there were so many rings which we both liked. We can’t thank Bina enough as she helped both of us pick our rings and helped with questions about the rings (i.e metals and diamond weight). We will definitely be using Design centre in the future for our jewellery needs.

My fiancee and i were looking for wedding rings. We had looked in couple of other jewellers but when we stopped here and spoke to Tina all questions were answered. There was a honest and polite guidance given on suitability with us both, even with me ending up changing my preconception as to the style i was after...
There was no pushy sales or negativity at all, just the opposite, all staff were actively nice, not just 'collecting a paycheck'. After going in a couple of others while in area and not being impressed we came back and purchased.
Overall very impressed with combination of price, proffesionalism and genuine warm friendliness from Tina and the other staff.

The customer service given by Design Centre is outstanding. The attention to detail and consideration given to my request by Dave was second to none. I don’t live locally but it’s worth the trip to get the standard of quality and choice that they have to offer.

We bought a RADO & Armani watch from Design Centre, it was a pleasant experience. We were wedding shopping last minute, so inevitably this was a stressful time which usually means stressful experience. However the staff at Design Centre were fantastic, providing top tier customer service. Our sales person was Sophie, she was knowledgeable about the products, forthright with information and all round superstar - 5 stars!

Excellent service from Bina who helped us select a stone for a bespoke ring. The process was incredibly straightforward thanks to their expertise and excellent communication. They were the main reason we bought from Design Centre and not elsewhere so thank you Bina.

Myself and my Fiancee have been to this great shop a few times now and every time has been wonderful. So about time i left a review. In 2020 i brought my Fiancee a beautiful engagement ring in this shop and actually got down on one knee and proposed to the delight of all the staff and other customers in the shop. So going back to get the wedding rings last weekend was a no brainer. Tina remembered us and she looked after us as we looked at lots of rings and when we finally settled on 2 very beautiful wedding bands she managed to get us a great discount as returning customers. The staff in this place do a wonderful job and i cannot praise them enough. I highly recommend visiting this place.

Fantastic service from Ella at Design Centre. She was patient and didn't try to upsell at all she respected our budget and gave both me and my fiance utmost attention. Would recommend to anyone looking for jewellery at the right prices. Thanks again Ella - you made our day.

The staff in this shop are amazing, they are friendly, knowledgeable and patient. My fiance and I visited the shop to purchase an engagement ring and wedding band. Because I didn't have a clear view of what I was looking for this took most of the morning. At no point we're we made to feel that we had taken too much time but reassured that it was ok to take our time over such a big decision.
The final choice was made and arrangements set for my size to be made. I was contacted as soon as the rings were ready.
On arriving back at the shop the assistants were just as friendly and welcoming as the first visit. And I am over the moon with my rings.
The shop provided a valuation for insurance purposes and offers a cleaning service in the future.
On our return trip, my fiance and his bestman both treated themselves to a Roamer Swiss watch. They are both very different but both stunning and incredibly great prices.
I would definitely look to revisit this shop when looking for any jewellery in the future

Looking to choose a special ring for a special occasion Design Centre was our second stop in the Jewellery Quarter. Well, I wish I hadn't wasted my time in the first shop. Bina was incredibly helpful and allowed me to try on a number of different settings, once I had chosen "the one" Bina was brilliant explaining how diamonds are graded, and explaining why you would pay more for a good quality diamond. We told her our budget and placed an order. Having picked up my ring yesterday, I was blown away by it. I absolutely love it, exactly what I wanted. Bina, Daksha, and the other other staff were just wonderful. Friendly and wanted to know our story too. Would not hesitate in recommending this shop, and will definitely visit sometime in the future. Thank you to all of you. I am so happy.

Blown away by the customer service, I have no experience with jewellery and they took me through every step so I understood what I was looking at.
Tina was really courteous and listened to what I was after instead and helped guide me throughout. Can not recommend enough, great service all around!

We recently visited again the Design Centre, where we were totally impressed by their professionalism & friendly customer service.
The team listened carefully to what we wanted, unlike some of the neighbouring shops.

Could not recommend this shop or its staff more. We were having a pretty miserable time trying to find my gemstone engagement ring. A lot of the shops we had been in before had very similar rings, nothing to my taste and the whole experience was becoming stressful. Just as I was losing hope we found the Design Centre. Such warm and helpful people. They were brilliant in not trying to sell me rings but firstly trying to turn my day around and help me figure out what I liked. Instantly we felt we could enjoy the experience. Rather than the hard sell they took the time to laugh with us and give us information on the gemstones. I ended up finding the perfect ring and in my size!! Beautiful and unusual designs that I couldn't have imagined being lucky enough to come away with. Thank you to the team for for making the experience special.

With the JQ on our door step I have some trusted 'go to' retailers I just pop into. I went to see if I could replace a specific ring like for like but in platinum... wasn't looking to buy, just costing.

Ended going in to DC to get out of the rain, if I'm to be totally honest. The staff (Tina & a young lady who's name I didn't capture, (sorry!)) were brilliant. So friendly. Obviously lovely their job and know their trade.

I explained what I was looking to achieve that day (ie no purchase, just looking/costing) and STILL nothing was too much trouble! No sales pressure and no less attention given. The customer service was second to none... so much so, I made the purchase!

I promised Dave I would give a review as people are too quick to complain than compliment!

Can't wait for another reason to go back!

Went today to buy an engagement ring, after many shops went here and the service was exemplary, so helpful and friendly Tina and Dave were so so helpful and patient, we travelled from Suffolk and 100% will go back there, outstanding service, thank you both so much
