I travelled to Antalya for a tooth extraction and dental implant at DENTAKAY, and I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
From the very beginning, the customer service was outstanding. They organised everything airport pick-up, transportation, and hotel arrangements and the entire process was smooth and stress-free. Everything was 10/10.
At the clinic itself, I was extremely impressed with the level of professionalism and technology. They carried out a full 3D scan and used the latest, most advanced equipment to thoroughly assess my teeth. What really stood out to me was how detailed and transparent they were.
They gave me full feedback on all of my teeth not just the one I came in for. They identified issues I wasn’t even aware of, including teeth that were slightly loose or might need future treatment like a root canal.
In my experience in the UK, dentists tend to focus only on the specific problem area and don’t always use such advanced scanning technology and if they do, it can be extremely expensive. At DENTAKAY, they used all the right machines and explained everything clearly, which gave me so much confidence.
I was naturally nervous about the extraction and implant, but the procedure was incredibly quick it was done within about 10 minutes! I experienced no pain, and the aftercare was excellent. They prescribed antibiotics, checked on me regularly, and I had three follow-up visits to make sure everything was healing properly. The whole process went perfectly.
One of the main reasons I didn’t proceed with treatment in the UK was the high cost of implants and the lack of detailed guidance about overall dental health and aftercare. At DENTKAY, I felt fully informed and supported every step of the way.
Travelling to Antalya for my dental treatment was truly the best decision I could have made. I hope I won’t need further treatment in the future but if I do, DENTAKAY will absolutely be my first choice.

I am writing about my direct involvement in my mother’s dental treatment and subsequent aftercare communication with Dentakay (Antalya).
My mother underwent full-arch lower jaw implant treatment originally at GoDent. I attended appointments with her and was responsible for arranging and paying for her treatment. I managed all communication with the clinics via email and WhatsApp.
Following the takeover of former GoDent patients, we were informed in writing that Dentakay was handling aftercare matters relating to GoDent cases.
My mother later experienced serious complications with her lower full-arch implants. The lower prosthesis failed, implants were lost, and she experienced infection and significant physical discomfort. As a result, she has been unable to eat normally and has had to rely on a blended/soft food diet. Given her age, this situation has caused considerable physical stress and emotional impact.
When we sought clarification and records, we encountered ongoing difficulty obtaining complete medical documentation and structured written explanations regarding her case.
We experienced the following:
• Lower full-arch implant failure
• Implant loss and infection
• Inability to eat solid food, requiring blended diet
• Repeated requests for full medical records
• Limited written clinical clarification
• An offer of free treatment made after a negative review had been published
The offer of treatment was communicated after the review was posted, and the review was removed in good faith at that time.
Despite written follow-up requests, we did not receive complete documentation or a detailed written explanation addressing the clinical concerns.
Throughout communication, Dentakay has repeatedly stated that the original treatment was performed by GoDent. However, we were previously informed in writing that Dentakay was handling GoDent aftercare matters.
All communication referenced here is documented in saved written correspondence.
As the person who attended appointments and financed the treatment, I believe patients and families are entitled to clear documentation, transparent aftercare handling, and full access to medical records — particularly in complex full-arch implant cases involving elderly patients.
I encourage international patients to insist on detailed written treatment plans, guarantees in writing, and complete medical records before agreeing to high-value procedures.

When full clinical records were requested, Dentakay confirmed they hold only limited documentation (a treatment plan and X-rays) and do not possess the complete internal clinical records relating to the original surgical treatment. For a case involving invasive implant surgery, this raises serious concerns regarding medical record retention, continuity of care, and accountability following corporate takeover.
Despite documented complications, meaningful written clinical explanations have not been provided. Instead, we were repeatedly encouraged to return to Turkey for in-person review. Given the severity of complications and breakdown of trust, this was not considered a reasonable or proportionate solution.
It must also be noted that during communications, “goodwill” gestures were discussed in connection with removal of public reviews. Patients should not feel that transparency about medical outcomes is discouraged or negotiated.
Due to ongoing concerns regarding implant placement standards, aftercare management, documentation retention, and corporate responsibility following merger, a formal complaint has been submitted to the Turkish Ministry of Health. The matter is currently under regulatory review.

In September 2025, I attended Dentakay primarily for assessment of a minor chip repair. I was not experiencing major functional problems at the time. During the consultation, I was informed that most of my previous dental work would need to be completely redone.
This recommendation was provided verbally. I was not given a contemporaneous written clinical report explaining the medical basis for full retreatment.
Because the recommendation involved extensive and costly work, I requested copies of my X-rays and full dental records so that I could obtain an independent second opinion.
During communication with the clinic, I was informed in writing by email that Dentakay was handling aftercare matters relating to former GoDent patients.
The timeline is as follows:
• September 2025 — Examination and recommendation for extensive retreatment
• Same period — I requested copies of my X-rays and full clinical records
• After publishing an earlier review — I was contacted and offered free retreatment
• The offer was made after the review had been posted, and I was asked to remove it

My experience at Dentakay was mixed. The doctors are highly professional and did an excellent job. I am very satisfied with the quality of the dental treatment I received.
The price was reasonable for three crowns, three fillings, and one root canal treatment. I also requested a deep cleaning. Considering the amount of treatment I had done, the overall cost was fair. However, I feel that the price for the deep cleaning itself was not entirely reasonable.
Unfortunately, the coordination and transportation service need improvement. The staff responsible for organizing the drivers do not always listen carefully to patients. The waiting time to see the doctor or to be picked up and taken back to the hotel was extremely long, which was quite frustrating.
Overall, the medical and dental care is very good and fairly priced, but the coordination and transportation services require better organization.

I chose Dentakay among several very good clinics - there are many of them in Istanbul. What stood out to me about Dentakay was that, based on the X-ray I sent them, they made a detailed treatment plan and explained why it was the best course of action.
Then they sent me what else the treatment includes - among others, a lifelong guarantee for the implant and 7 or 8 years guarantee for the crown, 4 nights stay in a 5-star hotel, and transport from the airport and to the clinic from the hotel every day.
The medical team was beyond fantastic! I am so far extremely happy with the result! Dr. Ahmet and the oral surgeon and others were very professional, caring, and explained every step.
The whole treatment is planned and executed quite meticulously! There is a consultant who walks you through the whole process.
I found it very surprising and amazing that they even have a professional photographer in the house, who takes photos of the patient's mouth so that the medical team makes sure that the aesthetics of the treatment works too.
I am thrilled I chose Dentakay! I would recommend it to anyone without any hesitation!

I honestly can’t recommend Dentakay highly enough. especially Dt Aykut Gunduz I’ve recently had veneers done and I am beyond happy with the results — they look so natural, clean, bright, and perfectly shaped for my mouth. They don’t look fake at all, just like the best version of my own smile

After my first visit to Dentakay Antalya I have to say everything went well. From the beginning my agent answered me all my questions ( had plenty), also at the clinic I had all my questions answered detailed from different agents to dentist and surgeon, until I felt totally comfortable with the plan. The amount to pay was the same as the previous plan given before going to Antalya. However needed some changes on the previous plan , after the X-ray made at the clinic, de amount was the same. Everything has been very well organised, hotel, transportation, communication during my stay. Everybody was very kind, helpful and patient . Looking forward to my second visit soon to finalise my teeth.

Dentakay was great during the initial WhatsApp consultation. The staff was friendly, responsive, and answered all my questions. Unfortunately, that was the best part of my experience.
Once I arrived at the Dentakay Mexico clinic, everything went downhill. I spent extremely long hours there. The first day I didn’t leave until after midnight, the second day about 5 hours, and the third day until 2 a.m. Despite all that time, the quality of work is unacceptable. My crowns are thick, oversized, crooked, and poorly done.
Because of how thick the crowns are, my speech now sounds like I have a lisp. I am embarrassed to go out in public, and my anxiety has been through the roof. Every time I eat, food gets trapped around each crown, which is uncomfortable and concerning. One of the crowns has already fallen off.
What makes this even worse is the complete lack of sympathy or urgency from customer service. I was told I would be sent to Istanbul to have the work fixed, but it has been over three weeks with no follow-up or solution. Customer service has been unresponsive and unhelpful, and it feels like once they had my money, they no longer cared.
Overall, I am extremely unhappy with my experience. The treatment I received was not what was promised, and the lack of aftercare and accountability is unacceptable. I would not recommend Dentakay based on my experience.
