Cold and missing food

Stone cold food arrived over an hour after ordering. Missing food, £42 spent, had a refund of £8 and said they hope to see us ordering again soon. I don't think so!! Disgusting people.

Second time my account was hacked by deliveroo

Yet again for the second time my account was hacked. The second delivery was on the same day as mine -but made from France. Despite this and how impossible it would be for me to order from two differing countries at the same time , Deliveroo has not refunded me and asked me to discuss with my bank. They requested I fill in all their paperwork-nothing happened and when I called them asked me to fill it all in again which I refused. I have now cancelled my card -redone all my passwords which took two hours and will NEVER EVER order from them again!!! Avoid Avoid Avoid!!

Rip off service

If I could give zero I would. Made an order at a Sainsburys for a meal deal and a tub of Pringles. They cancelled the order apart from the pringles which I had a £2 charge for a small order. 7 hours later I received a refund one tub of Pringles cost me £6:43! I will never use the service again. I said I wanted to raise a complaint all I got was sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your feedback. Trading Standards should look at this set up!

Discusted by Deliveroo

Deliveroo is beyond disappointing—completely overpriced, poorly regulated, and shockingly indifferent to customer service. I recently ordered a special meal from Eat Tokyo for a family dinner, carefully selecting three main dishes and extra sushi to share between four of us. When the food finally arrived, we were left shocked and upset to discover only two meals had been delivered. My wife and children ended up eating, while I was left hungry and frustrated.

After contacting Eat Tokyo directly, I was told the delivery driver forgot one bag, but they insisted they could do nothing and directed me back to Deliveroo. On reaching out through Deliveroo's app, my only options were credit or a refund—I initially chose credit but still wanted the food I had paid for and had been eagerly anticipating. Hoping for resolution, I joined their live chat, only to be kept waiting for over 30 minutes, after which they bluntly informed me they could no longer send my missing food because I had accepted the credit.

The entire process was exhausting, frustrating, and deeply unfair. After wasting so much of my evening dealing with their incompetence, the least they could have done was promptly resend my food and provide additional compensation. Instead, all I received was credit—forcing me to risk another disappointing delivery experience. Sadly, this is not my first negative encounter with Deliveroo. Over the years, I've suffered from missing items, late deliveries, rude drivers, and consistently inadequate customer support.

I strongly urge anyone considering Deliveroo to find an alternative delivery service. Save yourself the aggravation and disappointment—stay far away from Deliveroo.

Illegal For Sure

Waited for two hours for my order to arrive. No doubt this is down to the fact that the courier can't read or understand English or even the Latin alphabet. Ask yourself this - why are are these couriers South Asian and have their hoods up obscuring their faces. The company only seems to be employing illegal immigrants. To think former government minister Robert Jenrick suggested 50 somethings could work for a food courier company. Thast shows you out of touch our politicians are

I’ve had several issues with deliveries…

I’ve had several issues with deliveries recently. On multiple occasions, the driver failed to collect my full order from the shop, and when I contacted customer service, they told me it was my problem and that I needed to pay again for both the items and the delivery — even though I had already paid! The driver refused to return to the shop to collect the missing items.

And today, I ordered food and received old, overly salty meat and chicken that even smelled bad. When I contacted support, they dismissed it, saying it was just a “matter of taste,” and once again, refused to issue a refund.

It’s really disappointing to see such poor service and complete lack of responsibility. Customers should not be paying for mistakes made by the drivers or for food that isn’t fresh or safe to eat.

Shockingly bad

Shockingly bad, it will occasionally just change your location to a random place and gives no option for changing the address. The customer service says “just call the driver and ask them to go to wherever you are”. Which is as effective as you can imagine. They’re final advice before the senior customer service agent left was “our terms and conditions say that we will Send it to the delivery address, try calling the driver”. I use the app 3 times a week and they are still this unhelpful. I won’t be using them again. For clarification, I didn’t put in the wrong address, it randomly set a new address I’ve never been to.

Pathetic customer care service

Ordered from an Indian restaurant in Hastings. (Order no.#1629)

The paneer butter masala was the worst. when called the restaurant and complained about it they directed me to contact delivroo customer care towards the refund.

when checked with delivroo they don't want to deal with this appropriately and was passing it on the restaurant asking me to post a feedback in the app.

when the payment is through the deliveroo app and the restaurant has agreed to refund the order, I don't see why deliveroo is finding it difficult to process it.

It's understandable sometimes the dishes may not be upto the expected standards but customer services are to provide with the right solution for such issues.

Would of put zero stars if I could of! First time ever ordering and order was missing my pork joint, and bacon and sausage was out of date the very next day...VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE..still waiting for my refund for my joint...and nothing done about my short date food....I had never used this service before but was struck down with Novavirus and needed some groceries urgently....all I can say is Deliveroo you left more of a bitter taste of frustration in my mouth than the Novavirus.. absolutely terrible

Horrible delivery experience

We also had a horrible experience with Deliveroo. Looking at the reviews, seems like we are not an exception. Ordered dinner for the family on occasion of my daughter's birthday. The tracker started with showing 30-40 mins. delivery time, which was acceptable. However, after waiting for almost 2 hours, I tried to cancel but the Deliveroo agent won't let me cancel as the rider was at the restaurant. Chatted with the agents for over 30 mins but they would neither cancel the order not process a refund. Obviously the kids already had dinner by then and went to bed. Ultimately, I got offered a 10% compensation which couldn't make up for the lost occasion or the inconvenience. This is when I have been a Deliveroo Plus customer for years. When I said that I will cancel my subscription and share my feedback on social media, their senior agent (Russel John) also confirmed that they will "respect my decision". i.e. they don't mind me cancelling and sharing feedback..
Net net, their service has been on a downwards spiral for some time now with arrogance on the rise.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service. One of my orders was over two hours late, and Deliveroo said they’d ‘escalate it to higher management’—but when I finally spoke to a senior agent, they were no different. Nothing was resolved.

Then I had another issue with undercooked cookies, but because I didn’t take a picture before throwing them away, they refused to help. The agents are slow, unhelpful, and keep repeating the same questions instead of actually solving problems. They even promised me a refund for my late order but never issued it.

I deleted the app because the service is a joke. I wouldn’t recommend Deliveroo to anyone who values their time or money.

Unhelpful staff after late order

Order 2 hours late
Driver left the restaurant and didn’t tell anyone. I didn’t know until live chat. Delivery time just kept getting pushed back.
Offered a refund but then food turned up so chat kicked me off. Requested the refund the next day to get £2.93. After care staff didn’t care and said the refund was the refund.
Rahaf was unhelpful so go his boss Jeresa. Jeresa was even worse and just sent me pre written messages to try and be nice. Do not use, if things go wrong they don’t care. Account deleted and won’t be using again.

Late deliveries

They give you an estimated delivery time but then they just push it back and back when the order is delayed, so you don't actually know when your order will arrive, the time just keeps moving back. Then they tell you the order wasn't delayed because they updated the estimated delivery time.
