Refused refund for non-delivery
My order was never delivered, yet Deliveroo Belgium refused to process a refund via their chat support. No email follow up. I have also contact them via Facebook. They will try to make the refund difficult so you don’t get it.
Despite being logged into my verified account, the agent insisted I call 02 895 40 05 to "verify" my identity. This is a clear friction tactic designed to make customers give up. I refuse to use a telephone service to get a refund for a contract they failed to perform. I have reported this to the FPS Economy (Meldpunt) and initiated a chargeback via Revolut Premium. Absolute scam of a support system.
Ordered food here, never got it. No money back
Ordered food here, waited for over 2 hours. Never got anything. Then contacted support, took them over 2 days to get in touch. Resulted in them just saying they tried to deliver it. Which I know for a fact they did not. But since they confirmed they tried apparently that is enough proof for deliveroo.

I never received my order, no compensation, no reimbursement. They said that my order was delivered. It was not. Plus I wasted one hour of my life trying to convince them that their driver lied. I didn't succeed. Bon appetite, Mr. Driver!

When they mess up don't expect any compensation.
Ordered three pizzas for over €50, only to have the driver deliver them stacked vertically in his bag. Unsurprisingly, they arrived crushed, soggy, and completely inedible. I filed a complaint with Deliveroo, but all I received was an apology—no refund or credit. According to their policy, if the driver messes up, you’re out of luck because they can’t recover the cost from the restaurant, even though the restaurant clearly wasn’t to blame. With so many alternatives out there, I’ll be ordering elsewhere from now on.

Extremely bad service. Missing products, order cold at delivery,.. last order (36 euros) was cold. I complained and asked for credit. Received 10,20 euros for an order I can’t eat. Seems to be the standard! I had to “fight” on the chat to get full credit. Agents credit level is limited. I asked to talk to supervisor and got another agent who left the conversation. I finally got someone with more rights that asked ME to resume the case and at the end credited me more than my order. Awful business case. Awful feedback for the restaurants using their service.

Dit is ronduit schandalig en onacceptabel. Op een extreem hete dag (vrijdag 13 juni, 2025) kreeg ik drie pakken ijs die volledig gesmolten waren.
Deliveroo gaf zelf toe dat er een probleem was, maar weigerde een refund.
Het is onmogelijk om gesmolten ijs opnieuw in te vriezen zonder gezondheidsrisico’s.
Dit risico werd volledig genegeerd.
Wat de situatie nog erger maakt:
de bezorger maakte een tussenstop terwijl mijn bestelling ijs bevatte.
Bij zulke temperaturen hoort de bezorger direct naar de klant te komen, zonder stops, om smelten te voorkomen.
In plaats daarvan kon ik mijn ijs letterlijk in de wc gooien.
Dit is niet alleen slecht voor mij als klant, maar ook een gevaar voor de volksgezondheid.
Daarnaast was de klantenservice belachelijk slecht:
tijdens het chatten verliet de medewerker de chat terwijl ik nog aan het typen was. Geen uitleg, geen empathie, geen oplossing.
Na twee keer vragen waarom ik geen refund kreeg, werd mijn vraag genegeerd. Dit soort respectloos en onprofessioneel gedrag hoort niet bij een grote service als Deliveroo.
Ik bestel regelmatig via Deliveroo, maar deze ervaring is gewoonweg zeer onprofessioneel.

This is downright outrageous and unacceptable.
On an extremely hot day (Friday, June 13, 2025), I received three packs of ice cream completely melted.
Deliveroo admitted there was a problem but refused to refund me.
It is impossible to refreeze melted ice cream without serious health risks.
This risk was completely ignored.
What makes it worse:
the rider made an extra stop during my delivery, even though my order contained ice cream.
In such heat, the rider should go straight to the customer without stops to prevent melting.
Instead, I literally had to throw my ice cream in the toilet.
This is not only terrible customer service but also a public health hazard.
On top of that, the customer service was laughably bad:
the agent left the chat while I was still typing.
No explanation, no empathy, no solution. After asking twice why I didn’t get a refund, my question was simply ignored. This kind of disrespect and unprofessionalism does not belong to a major service like Deliveroo.
I order from Deliveroo regularly,

Paid for Food That Was Never Delivered – No Refund, No Support
I had an extremely disappointing experience with Deliveroo. I placed an order to a hotel address on 9 May 2025 worth €41.14, but it was never delivered. The delivery agent didn’t contact me and instead uploaded a photo showing the food left on the street which disappeared after I saw it once.
Despite contacting customer support multiple times, I received no refund or resolution. They kept asking for evidence I couldn’t access anymore due to a poorly designed app. A re-order was auto-placed and then canceled because Deliveroo didn’t pay the restaurant.
I followed up several times with customer support, and all they told me was to wait for an indefinite amount of time with no real updates or resolution.
Still no food, no refund, and no accountability. I do not recommend using Deliveroo — if something goes wrong, you’re left completely on your own.

Never anywhere near on time and no accountability whatsoever. I've been ordering for a while now trough deliveroo. Watched the service get worse time and time again. About a year ago they started double ordering when a delivery would actually be on time, so of course since then not even one order delivered on time. If orders will not be on time, they just push the delivery time forward. And, even when arriving over half an hour late with cold food, not even a thank you for the tip. What kind of service do they call this? I'll tell you, no service at all. They just don't care at all! Unclaimed profile/no history of asking for reviews: nuff said... never again!

Sent wrong order. I've contacted 3 times now and no refund for an order over €60 euros! They ruined my daughter's birthday. I sent them photo evidence and each time they say they'll get back within 48 hours but never do. Thieves and fraud. Unacceptable behavior.
