Absolutely disgusted with the data cars…

Absolutely disgusted with the data cars service!
As a teenager onwards data cars was always the best cab firm around with fair pricing and great service. How that Uber and bolt are available I always prefer to use a local company however data cars has proved not only to be able to keep prices competitive but the service is terrible and we are falsely reassured with speaking to an operator in times of need to find it is often a sarcastic rude individual who always finds an excuse for the disgusting service customers are receiving! Loyal customers are lured in with a vip points scheme hi where ever journey earns you points towards a free journey yet have it’s been informed by a driver of data that once they are aware it is a points earned journey no driver will accept as they don’t receive any payment for that journey and who can blame them? Which self employed driver would? They make it impossible to claim the journey! Drivers always cancel and when I’ve challenged this the head office has said I’ve cancelled even though I havnt and claimed and it must of been a technical error! Disgusting! I will be posting this on all socials!

DO NOT USE DATA CARS!

Was waiting for my pre booked car for over an hour, after calling the office several times I was passified overland over again. After waiting over an hour I cancelled the car and they had the cheek to charge me a calculation fee. I am beyond angry at this. They are unreliable, incompetent and rude. would never use this service again. DO NOT USE

Data cars a disgrace - cancelled after pre booking

Twice Our prebooked cab failed to arrive for a 6pm pickup and a 12am pickup. We were never called to say the taxi will be delayed, I had to call to find out the delay would be 45-60 mins extra at least. They failed to understand the concept of pre booking ! We had elderly and also vulnerable people with us. An absolute disgrace!

Terrible service

Terrible service! The driver called to say he would be 16 minutes late so we cancelled and they charged us a £5.60 cancellation fee.

In general data cars has always been…

In general data cars has always been good, but please understand, the the airport pick ups are a waste of time, firstly (remember,) you will not be met, at arrivals, with you're name,on a board, with an optomistic driver, ready to drive you, instead, you will be asked to go up in a lift to car park, level, dragging some times very heavy cases, then you will waste time looking out, for the driver,who takes their time, and be told you have to pay extra, for their car parking fee, on top of an already expensive cab fare,some of them don't know, where you are going, and want you to navigate, and even seem to want an argument, it is a ridiculous system, all clients should be told, what the procedure is, regarding the airport, when they book up and add on an hours, mess about time, I was furious, after I arrived, very tired, at Heathrow, yesterday, and was left confused upset and lost, for two hours, I will never use this service for the airport ever again, and I am reluctant to, travel with this service I have, used for ten years. Its just getting worse,and it was excellent,before, Staff don't appear to want to extend a hand, you work for them, it's the other way around, just please data cars, explain to people, the system so there are no surprises.and no time wasting.

Absolutely terrible

Absolutely terrible. Twice in one week having pre-booked a car I was left waiting because they hadn’t yet assigned a driver. When I called (20 mins after cab due) I was told it was busy that day and I’d have to wait. I thought the idea of pre booking meant I would be allocated a car? Do not use - I lost £20 as they take money at the booking stage.

Pre booked 3 cabs

Pre booked 3 cabs. First 2 didn't turn up at booked times. On phoning them, 1 was apparently on the way and no update available on the other. Finally 1 was offered in 25 minutes, so an hour late. Were told "we only commit to getting you to your destination for the time you need", which made no sense given they didn't turn up at the arranged time,which was booked for the time needed to get people to the destination on time... No proactive contact, we had to chase repeatedly. Got Ubers instead, which turned up within a few minutes.

Cancelled the 3rd one too as assumed no point in relying on them. One group arrived over an hour late and caused a stressful start to the evening. I used to use Data Cars regularly years ago and they were fine. I won't ever use them again, terrible service.

Impossible to rely on them any more

I don't know what's happened to Data Cars in the last few months. They used to be incredibly reliable but lately I've had prebookings either not fulfilled (over half an hour late assigning a driver or an assigned driver cancelled), prebooked drivers arriving late or it taking over 10 minutes to assign an on spec driver - who then cancels after several minutes. Impossible to rely on them any more.

Extremely unreliable

Whenever I have used this taxi service in the past it has been fine. However, in the last week, I have been let down on 2 out of the 3 occasions that I've needed a taxi. The first cab turned up fine. The second cab left me stranded as I paid by card through the link sent to me via Data Cars. He called me to say that he wanted cash as he has to pay for petrol by cash and he couldn't pick me. I had not stated a cash payment and as I received a link to pay by card I assumed it was okay to do so. I then had to wait for Data Cars to rearrange the pick up. The lady I spoke to in the office was very apologetic. The driver that arrived also apologised too. The 3rd time I used them I prearranged a pick up via the app the day before I needed it. I booked it to arrive at 1810 as I needed to be somewhere between 1830 and 1850. By 1820 the taxi hadn't arrived and I called to find out where it was. The man on the other end of the phone just kept repeating himself saying that dispatch would let me know once they had arranged a driver to pick us up! He didn't seem to understand that I had prebooked a specfic time for a reason. I had to cancel as he said it would be another 30-45 minutes!! I prefer using local taxi firms but I'm sorry to say I had to resort to using Uber as there were no other firms able to pick us up at such short notice. Sadly, I will be avoiding Data Cars from now on as it seems that they are no longer able to guarantee a pick up when pre-booking.

Very Poor Service…

Last night ordered a cab to take my mother in law to hospital this morning @ 09.00 hrs. No car arrived. Phoned and recorded message stated order still live. No car. Phoned to operator to be told that due to the strike no drivers available in our area.
The idiot did not apologise and did not understand that this was the reason for the booking. Terrible Customer Service!

Data cars arriving 40 minutes late

Data cars and before then Handicabs used to be ultra reliable. Always arrived on time. Saturday night ordered a tax for 9.30am to go to Euston station. When it had not arrived a 9.40, I rang them to be told that they were sorry but there were no drivers in the area, so it would be roughly fifteen minutes before the driver arrived. Not being able to wait this long I, with my two suitcases, had to use public transport. Only just arriving in time. The taxi finally arrived over 40 minutes late after I had already left As Data cars had my phone number why no text warning me, so I could make alternative arrangements? I often travel overseas but couldn't risk this happening when travelling to an airport. I, therefore, will no longer be using Datacars. What a way to run a business. No explanation afterwards.

Poor service

Pre booked a cab yesterday to pick me up today at 1pm. Rang just after 1 o’clock as hadn’t received a text to say driver was on their way and was told they didn’t have a driver available. Same thing happened to my friend last week and her friend nearly missed her flight when they didn’t turn up for an airport run. Always offered a good service but now completely unreliable.

Disgraceful service, avoid this company

Ordered a car on Saturday for 7am Sunday morning to meet a coach for a day trip. Received confirmation on the Saturday and on the Sunday morning got a sms message to say driver had been dispatched. 7.15 no driver so I called the office to be told that they had no cars available and it could be some wait, I explained that we had a coach to catch at 7.45 which had cost us a lot of money and they couldn’t have cared less. I then had to phone my son and he had to dash around to give us a lift, otherwise our day would have been ruined. THANKS FOR NOTHING SCAMMING DATACARS, I wouldn’t use your company again if my life depended on it !!

Datacars Pricing Method

I called for a cab and asked for an estimate. They said £27.
I told them, foolishly, that I had £35 as I was counting money , £ included.
Guess what?
When the driver finished with the journey it was .....,£35.
I will never use again and I have no hesitation in saying "avoid "

Data cars

Data cars, was excellent, but these past few journeys, to my destination were horrible, they were shocked I asked to go further, in the morning, to another location, when I thought they would be happy to get a bigger job, they want you to guide them, and go around the houses, provide info, and pretend I don't know this place, they are drivers, making nearly 50.00,a time, I have found them lazy, argumentative, and trying, when the shoe should be on the other foot, they should be happy, to have the cab fare,and a loyal client. this company was fantastic, but I don't know what has happened, I feel I should have a courtesy trip, for all my unhappiness recently, I haven't complained, giving them a chance, and I am considering, changing, cab agency, completely. have been with them ten years, and it's going down, with bad service, and this idea, we are doing you a favour. It's unbearable.

Systems up the creek

Paid driver cash for airport run . Two months later (!) company claimed I hadn’t paid and asked me to add my credit card details to my account info so they could take payment. The reason I was unwilling is on the previous trip the driver had demanded cash as head office were adamant they could not locate my credit card on the account ( so I later deleted it as their payment systems are clearly up the creek and didn’t want to get double charged).
Foolishly I used them again. Prebooked online. Landed at Gatwick to receive a text saying they had cancelled my taxi ! They claimed I had omitted to inc my flight no , but you can’t complete an online booking without completing that box and I def did it. I even got a confirmation text from them . In the end I got an Uber. Came in 3 mins - clean, friendly, efficient. And these firms wonder why Uber is so popular. I would like to support a local firm but I can’t risk using Data again

The worst service ever

The worst service ever
We booked a car and when it hadn’t arrived 10 minutes after booked time we called and they didn’t seem to understand why we were calling. They thought we were trying to book a new car so I said we wanted to cancel the original booking as it hadn’t arrived.

Horrendous service

Horrendous service. I ordered a taxi 5 days in advance ( a 7 seater) for a return journey. 7 seater didn’t turn up on the day- when I called them they said they didn’t have a 7 seater available but they’d ‘try’ and send 2 cars instead.
Only 1 car turned up and that was 40 minutes late.
For the return journey, I called twice to confirm they could definitely accommodate a 7 seater for the return journey, and was reassured they could. Again didn’t turn up. They kept calling me to say ‘10 more minutes’ and eventually said they’d send two cars instead- neither turned up. Had to call 2 Ubers after waiting over an hour with 4 children. Disgusting
