Not able to book and pay by card in app…

Not able to book and pay by card in app or online. Ordered a cab over the phone and the assistant said I would receive a link to pay by card. The link didn’t arrive so I called, they sent a link but still didn’t work. What a faff!! They also charged me extra for waiting time as I was trying to make payment.

Rude and heartless driver

The driver arrived to my pickup location where I was travelling with my 2 years old granddaughter. I also had shopping bags and pushchair folded. He did not open the car boot, he did not coke out the car to help and he did not even ask for help.
My friend who was seeing me off came to help me and asked him to open the boot and to help me but the bags and pushchair away. He then reluctantly came out to help and made a comment to us to be careful not to scratch his car which was very insensitive considering I’m an older lady with an infant.

When he dropped me to the destination, he took the pushchair and bags out and left them in the road - in the middle of the road behind the car. Not on the pavement. If there were other cars driving down the street they would have driven over everything. I couldn’t believe how rude and unkind this driver was. I’ve used data cars before but this is the worst experience I’ve had. I really hope this doesn’t happen again.

Prebooked a cab that never turned up

Prebooked a cab three hours in advance only to be told at the time of pick up it was going to take another 20 25 minutes. After I camaomed I was left to wait with my daughters in the freezing cold outside of the venue . I called to chase where the cab was and I was told the cab had been cancelled without telling me . They advised it would be another 20minutes . Thank goodness Uber can to the rescue even though it was 35 minutes after my original time. You try to support local firms but when they treat you like this it’s difficult to do so.

Avoid, avoid, avoid!

I pre-booked from the airport but after one hour I received a message saying that my booking was canceled. (Without any clarification) I tried to enter in the app again and my account was disappear. Obviously they took the money without any refund!

Absolute joke of a cab company

Absolute joke of a cab company! I booked my Christmas Day pick up over a week in advance after receiving an email advising I would get 20% discount. Great I thought, double fare on Christmas Day minus 20% wouldn’t be such a sting. Booked my cab pick up for 15:00 on Christmas Day to take me to a local restaurant, 14:50 get an update they were allocating a driver, another update apologising for the delay. Bang on 15:00 another update CANCELLED! Why bother taking bookings in advance if you cannot guarantee the service. I will never use them again, they used to be the go to company in the area not any more. I manage to get an Uber within 5 minutes who actually charge me £7.95 for the job when data wanted £17.95! DO NOT USE DATA CARS!

Terrible service

I booked a cab for 5 people to go to Gatwick at 8am. They sent me a message with the car details. Then phoned at 8.10 to say it would he half an hour till they found a driver and the price had gone up from 84.50 to 111. Because we had 5 cases. Ended u0 getting a train.

Pre booked cars failed to arrive

Another victim fallen for the pre booked taxi routine. Booked a car over a week in advance for a journey home from the West End to Sidcup. Left stood outside in minus temperatures for over 30 mins with Still no driver even assigned so other arrangements to get home were made. It’s easy to say I’m never using them again as you may need a car home, however in this instance I won’t, as after multiple let downs you can’t get home. We had 3 cars in our party that never arrived tonight. Business wise you can’t come back from that.

Dreadful service

Dreadful service. Pre-booked due to train strike but kept being told driver was being assigned, & sorry for delay as they were very busy. This was the very reason we pre-booked as we knew they would be busy, so why weren’t we made priority? We were out in the freezing cold for over an hour & eventually gave up & found another cab. Would NEVER use them again.

A driver from hell!

Booked an airport pickup and the driver was late. Booked for 7:30pm , car arrived at 8:05pm. Then without introducing himself, straight away hand me the ticket to pay from the passenger seat window! Starting the journey with loud music from the radio, so I requested to turn it down. Whilst the driver did, still making a comment that he needs energy from the music. All through the journey he had one window slightly open forcing cold air to come in. When we requested to closed it, he said he needs the win for energy. He even had personal call and talked loudly. My partner sneeze because of the cold air and straight away the driver opened both windows at the front. We said ‘ please closed the window’ and he started shouting to say we might brought germs and he need to clear out the air. And the fact that we are not wearing a mask it worries him. Yet he wasn’t wearing a mask either from beginning. Then after a few minutes I said the air must be clear, please call the window as I was really shivering. The driver shouted again while waving his hand at us saying why we ordering him around like a monkey! And that we only thinking of our needs and not his needs! At this time I was really worried cause the driver has becoming verbally aggressive. We finish the route at a train station rather then to home as scared the driver was being more aggressive and the car was very cold as he refused to close the windows and this was the day after the snow day! He was indeed a diver from hell! He made us feel like we are hitch-hiking a ride than a paying passengers!

Avoid this company

Avoid this company, Prebooked taxi Saturday morning for pick up at 6pm that night for event at the o2. Called 6.15pm to find out where cab was to be told they are very busy and it won’t arrive for at least another 45minutes! Totally unreliable!

Never again!!

Pre booked return journey to event in Brangwn Hall for 7 people tonight, may as well not have bothered as spoilt whole night trying to get there and back. 40 minutes late to get there and same trying to get back. Several phone calls trying to find out when taxi would arrive. Staff were lovely but wny accept bookings if you can't provide taxi. Never again!

Hopeless. NEVER AGAIN.

Hopeless.

We booked for 16.45.

At 17.00 we called and were told 15-20 minutes. We called four more times and they lied each time.

We got in the cab at 17.30.

We will never use them again.

Cab was a no show and the customer service is terrible

Myself and friend pre booked a cab from data cars to take him to Bexleyheath station at 05.00am. The cab never arrived. We then called to find out what the delay was and was told that there is an event at O2 so they could not supply a cab!!! I’ve never heard anything like it.. are you saying that the customers at O2 are worth more to you than my request for a cab!?!

Anyway, I thought maybe that was a one off so used them again. I needed a cab today for 12.45pm to take me to a very important hospital appointment. I pre booked 2 hrs ahead. When the cab had not arrived I checked my app which stated that a driver was being assigned, thank you for your patience!!! I called the office and was told it was 5 mins away!! 10 mins later I called again to be told they would TRY to get there in 10 minutes.!!! I ended up ordering a Bolt which came within 5 mins!!!

When I called to cancel I got the impression that they didn’t care, no apology for the no show!!!

Will definitely not be using Data Cars again and would advise everyone to avoid at all costs… if I could give a zero rating I would!!

DO NOT USE THIS CAB COMPANY

This is a warning to all that are thinking of using this incompetent company. I have been let down so many times by Data Cars, but after their incompetence Sunday morning, never again! I rang and booked a cab to collect my 18 year old grandson from a venue at 1am Sunday morning and drop him back to my house. I paid for this journey many hours in advance) and received confirmation of my booking. When the time for my grandson to be picked up, the cab hadn't arrived. I rang Data Cars and was told that a cab hadn't yet been assigned to the journey and it would possibly be another 30 - 45 mins until they could confirm that a cab would be on its way. I explained to the operative that my grandson was waiting on a street corner by himself, which I didn't want to happen, hence the reason why I booked and paid for the cab many hours before the pick up time. I received several texts, one a white toyota was on it's way, then 2 mins later a grey toyota was on it's way. Then 1.45am i get a phone call from a driver to advise that my cab was outside my house!. When I told him that my address was the drop off point, he rudely put the phone down. In my opinion they deliberately put my grandson in danger, I pre-booked a cab so that he wasn't waiting around on his own, given the trouble that goes on on the streets. In he end, I had to ring my son (who lives in Northampton), get him out of bed to drive down to London to pick him up!!. When I complained to Data Cars, I was told that they are a SE London cab company and do not pick up from the postcode that I gave when making the booking!!. So they were ok to take and confirm the booking and also take my money, but had no intention of supplying the service!!. I would hate for anyone to go through what I went through Sunday morning, upset, worried and panicking about my grandson, being put in this dangerous position, waiting for a cab that was never going to arrive!. Please take this as a warning. Do not use this company!

Avoid at all costs…

It’s another 1 star review for this useless excuse for a cab firm. Here’s some very simple advice - Do not take bookings if you cannot fulfil them. Data cars do not seem to understand or care about the consequences of leaving their customers stranded. Not sure what’s happened to them as they used to be extremely reliable

Totally lied about the wait time when…

Totally lied about the wait time when booked - 30 mins. When I called, as the car was still 'being assigned', 40 mins later. Told I was next in the queue. Another 15mins later they called asked if I still wanted a cab and would be at least another 45mins. Apawling.

My mum got a cab from them yesterday…

My mum got a cab from them yesterday the price they charged her was ridiculous. Also when he picked her up he must of noticed that she was elderly and had a walking stick, but he just watched her struggle and waited for her to put all the shopping in the car. When he dropped her off he just dumped the bags on the corner of the road and left. not even outside her house. Disgraceful. Also previously waited for a cab pre-booked kept telling her it’s coming and never turned up.

Do not use this company

Do not use this company. I booked a car three hours in advance. When it didn't turn up I rang then and they said they didn't have a car and it would be another 45 minutes. Absolutely awful service. How do they stay in business??

An appalling experience

I had prebooked a car to collect my wife and I from Stansted airport at 23.45 on 21/10. I used the app but there was a confirming phone call too. No car arrived. I called them and ultimately spoke to them about four or five times. I was obviously lied to (I was told twice that my driver was just dropping someone off nearby!!!!) and only under interrogation by me was I told that my car would be 45 minutes to an hour which confirmed my view that I had been forgotten. Much later I did receive a call from a driver by which time I was halfway home using the cab service at the airport. The end of our holiday was spoiled. Further, my wife is 74 and was already feeling unwell and it was cold and pouring with rain. I think people I spoke to on the phone we’re in an overseas call centre and were less than helpful. I did not receive an apology. I will never use Data Cars again.
