This is the first and last time would chose this company. The customer service was appalling. My family booked a holiday to Nigeria. There was 11 of us in total. Damas took the deposit via a payment link and then demanded the balance in cash we were apprehensive about it as we prefer to pay using a credit card. When my sister paid in cash the ticket that was quoted £997 was suddenly no longer available. The agent said it was £2800.The agents struggled with understanding English. They made us lose a holiday in we we planned for over a year to see our loved ones. They also had the audacity to not give us a full refund. This was a breach of contract and caused a huge disappointment. We are still seeking legal advice as we are within our rights to get fully refunded. They are very unprofessional and unreasonable. I would not recommend them to anyone.

I booked ticket for the first time was been help by Jenet who booked ticket was very helpful .

I got a call one day on my phone and Becky agent from Damas travels offered me a flight package very cheap and reasonable. At first I thought it was a fake call, but later speaking to Becky, Her response and the understanding was great. Damas travel Agency are good and keep its promise. Great Job .

Big SCAM!!!
I booked my tickets May 2024 going to India in Dec 2024 and I was quoted a cheap price.
Paid my deposit for 4 tickets and was waiting to get my ticket. Everytime I asked for ticket reference the number kept changing. I called Damas ( Janet ) in June to make sure this was legitimate and if my ticket was definitely going to be booked and every time the answer was yes sir. Guys don’t be lured by these people talk as Janet is very kind to speak and makes as though everything is fine.
I called back in the month July and I was told that my tickets would be issued in October. Called back in Aug and I was told the same. Called back September and Janet said sorry sir the tickets can’t be issued as this was promotional price.
I was told that I would have to now pay more to issue another flight and Janet was not helpful they offered me ticket with 3 stops inspite of me telling them that I will be travelling with an infant that is due to come in October. Finally me and my wife decided not to go ahead with these scammers and requested for a refund. I was promised a full refund and I was unfortunately not refunded in full. When asked they said it was admin fee they deducted which was in total of 80£. I have requested to speak to the manager and hence Janet has blocked me and is not answering or responding to any calls and messages. I hope no one else gets cheated like this in future.

I am surprised to read some of the negative comments here. My experience with Janet was totally positive. Someone gave me her number, that she could get me a good deal - and I'm glad they did.

It was a family trip so I needed to book for 5 people. We were all leaving at different times and had staggered returns. I loved the way Janet was dedicated to our cause, as it was not easy to get all of us exactly what we needed. But she did!

In fact, when 1 person made a last minute change to their schedule, Janet was able to work that in too. She even got us Premium Economy on the return trip, which was a pleasant surprise. I know people whose ticket cost same as ours but they were Economy out leg and return leg.

We went on the trip and came back without any issues. Thanks, Janet!

Its a scam. Proceed with caution. Pease note Damas Travels are not ATOL protected or IATA regulated. They are intermediaries and usually work for another booking agency. Nothing stops them from cancelling the tickets after you have paid the ticket price in full or in part. Since your contract is with Damas who are not ATOL protected or IATA regulated, you will have no where to complain. They would usually quote a price that is around 10% less to lure you in to paying a deposit. They will also send an invoice by email giving an impression that your booking is secure. What they do not mention is that we need to confirm back by email that we agree to the invoice. If you fail to do so and when you want to make the final payment, they would say the price has changed and we need to pay a higher amount or else the deposit is forfeited. Also, it is highly likely your ticket may be cancelled by them after you make the final payment. So better be safe to avoid surprises when you turn up at the airport- (1) ensure you make credit card payment so you can make claim back if they cancel without informing you. (2) Book via reputed travel agency's website even if it means the price is higher.

Counter response below: firstly they never communicated that I need to reply back by email. Secondly why is the ATOL or IATA number not mentioned on their website or on the invoice. They simply use some other agent’s numbers when asked. Hence, my warning to others still holds good

AGENTS OFFICE:- CORPORATION STREET BIRMINGHAM BUT NO DOOR NO AND NOTHING APPEARS ON GOOGLE MAPS.

After paying deposit I get to know my Friend advised they have done this in the past by sending tickets after getting the deposit but they will cancel the booking prior to departure and get money to their account.

When I spoke to Janet and asked for agent office address she said they have both in Birmingham and manchester but unfortunately both are in refurbishment but when I asked for address no answer.

Can’t be paid by credit card as I can safeguard by payment but she said some charges involved but I was ready to bear the cost then changed her mind saying it’s company policy we don’t accept credit card.

Not worth to take such risk so pls book them in reputed company.

I have used Damas travel for the first time I was pretty worried being scammed but Janet was professional in doing my booking. I received my ticket soon after which made me relief. I will use again in the future for best deals.

I had a very great customer service by Janet, she was very helpful to finding my bookings, starting from air flight to hotel and private taxi, she very excellent at her job. Highly recommended 😊
