I have had not one person truly interested in purchasing my bike. I have had several scam people contact me with BS offers and offers that included “certified checks” to purchase my bike. My question is are there any legitimate buys that look at cycle trader?

Nothing but scam contacts
Paid for two bikes to be listed. Nothing but scam contacts. Wanted to sell me either Vin reports or Cycletrader’s own report. Five out of six inquiries were this way. Started by feigning an interest, including how I’d like to be paid, then ended with saying they come look at it only after I got a report. CycleTrader has to weed out these frauds or it will be useless.

Listed two motorcycles - not impressed
Listed two motorcycles at the best plan costing $79 each. Can’t even view our listings when searching for them. Had some bogus folks respond so far after one week in. Not impressed so far and doesn’t seem worth the money in comparison to facebook marketplace or other free services.

Disappointed
Cycle Trade website actually worked fine for me. It was just that I was very disappointed with the results for what it cost. I posted two times at two-week intervals (one month) and did not get one legitimate inquiry regarding the motorcycle. The bike was not over-priced and in better than average condition for same make and model year. It has also been a very popular model in recent years, so I expected some legitimate interest. I was bombarded with mostly bogus scam texts, a few e-mails, and a couple of phone calls. None of which were legit. Ended up being more of a hassle than anything.

Worth the Money
Cycle Trader gave me visibility for selling my motorcycle that I wouldn't have had otherwise. I took out a 2-week ad and sold my bike in less than a week.
There were some small issues that keep me from giving 5 stars, including the inability to update my phone or email information online, and getting buyer messages delayed by a day or so. Customer service did get back to me with an update about this, but after about 3 business days.
All in all a good experience, and worth the effort instead of taking lowball offers from services like RumbleOn and Powersport Buyers.

Your service does not do a good job of vetting people. All that reached out were scammers. Not helpful at selling my bike at all and added more stress.
