We had two Skodas to exchange. James at Johnsons Erdington was brilliant - explaining what was available , putting a competitive finance packages together and getting us money back on unexpired insurances. The cancellations of the previous direct debits went through smoothly.

I took out the agreement to buy my vehicle as was awaiting a large payment, which had taken way too long to arrive!
Once the money arrived, I called VWFS to repay the loan. The process was easy and was explained to me by the call handler with an email arriving within minutes. I was able to pay the outstanding balance quite easily.

Allow customers to speak to a human to discuss any problems or misunderstandings.
In my case I simply wanted to know why direct debit payments have not been taken from my account. Instead I was told that my request to pay off the whole debt in one payment was accepted ( which I definitely do not want)- this was probably my misunderstanding of your system but it was impossible to speak to someone to resolve the issue.
I have now decided to call my VW retailer to ask him to intervene on my behalf

I have been a loyal customer with Volkswagen Financial Services for over two years, but my recent experience trying to cancel a VW All-in service plan after selling my vehicle has been completely unacceptable.
I notified VWFS in writing with the exact active agreement and warranty policy numbers immediately after selling the car. When the buyer decided not to take over the plan, I sent explicit written instructions to cancel the agreement and stop all Direct Debits. Instead of processing the cancellation, VWFS mistakenly pulled up an expired policy from 2023 that I never referenced, claimed the plan had already matured, and failed to action the cancellation on the active plan.
For four months, VWFS continued to take unauthorized Direct Debit payments from my bank account for a car I no longer owned. I sent multiple emails to their customer service team trying to resolve this and was completely ignored—left in the dark with no response at all.
When they finally responded months later, they had the audacity to claim I never replied to their emails, completely ignoring my timestamped written records. They blamed me for their own administrative errors, refused to refund the unauthorized payments taken after my cancellation notice, and demanded an additional settlement fee.
The sheer lack of communication, internal disorganization, and complete disregard for customer loyalty is shocking. Avoid their service plans unless you want unauthorized bank charges and zero support when you need it. Absolute disaster of a customer service operation.
