Read the small print

Well we actually cancelled. Sold package of 3 nights for £226 for two people. sold as a pet friendly hotel through booking.com. But in the small print you have to pay £25 per pet per night. paid at reception - so after your non refundable deadline - very underhanded!! google rating 3.5/5

Thank you Annabelle and James

Found this hotel after a bad experience elsewhere in Ilkley. Been back again and will be back again in about 4 weeks. Annabelle and James can’t do enough for you. They are the best and the main reason we will be returning. Thank you guys

Would I recommend this hotel, not at all.

Would I recommend this hotel, no!
Would I visit again, no!
Went for a spa and afternoon tea.
The experience was a disaster from start to finish.
Trying to contact the hotel to book, virtually impossible, took at least three attempts.
All was fine initially then it all went horribly wrong. Treatments, were booked for the four of us, two at 2pm and 2 at 2.30pm, these ended up being one after the other. Tried to serve afternoon tea when we weren’t all there.
Trying to contact the hotel afterwards and speak to the manager, is like trying to speak to the scarlet pimpernel.
Customer service skills of all staff leave a lot to be desired.
Much nicer places to visit.

DO NOT USE THIS HOTEL

Went to the new years eve ball at the Craiglands for the second year running and what a turnaround, first year great , this year absolute disaster.
The double room was not big enough to swing a cat and you had to squeeze past the tiny double bed to get to the small wardrobe, I suspect this room is used for single occupancy. On taking a shower cold water was dripping through the ceiling onto the person in the shower and this dripping was continual throughout the stay. Also not greeted with champagne no scottish piper and no neeps and tatties as previously. Last but by no means least the breakfast the following morning was an absolute disgrace we ended up having toast and coffee . THis as all been reported but to no avail. My advice AVOID this establishment

Impossible to get hold of!

I paid for some spa vouchers a few days ago and have had nothing but hassle trying to book them. I have called numerous times, no answer, I have sent emails, no reply, I have messaged them on facebook, no response. I did mange to get through to someone at reception who was extremely rude and told me she has nothing to do with the spa and cannot help. I got so desperate I even posted publicly on their social media, this did prompt an apology but they still ignored my requests to book. I have now given up and just want a refund... but surprise surprise cannot get hold of anyone to do this!

Don’t book your wedding reception at…

Don’t book your wedding reception at the Craiglands Hotel!
We turned up to find a building site, which we weren’t told about when we booked. The staff were nice but the management were disorganised and rude. One manager even approached the bride halfway through the reception with hand out, demanding the money for corkage! It had already been agreed it would be paid the following morning.
The reception room was dirty, as were the rooms. Several guests posted bad reviews which the hotel management subsequently removed.
