Hi George,
Thanks for your patience while we looked into your missing parcel.
Case reference: 705XXXXX
Tracking Number: CPXXXXXXXXXDE
We've found no further traces of your parcel in our delivery network. It also hasn't been scanned at our Returned Mail Redistribution Centre, where we store undeliverable items and loose contents.
With all possible checks completed, we regret to advise that we can't locate your parcel. Your parcel is now considered lost.
We had hoped to give you a happier outcome today, and we're sorry that we couldn't."

"With all possible checks completed".?
Give me a break. What a Fob-Off of a response!
The appeal of these vehicles (hence demographic able to ID the part & its application) is very limited.
Even a perfunctory internal investigation* would be able to determine which of the staff working that day might have had a motive to steal it.
*Cross referencing with vehicles owned by said staff / immediate families.
I'd bet my @ss no such investigation was undertaken.
I subsequently (20/01/26) emailed Australia Post Customer Service & requested a full scan history + internal investigation notes, including:
> Timestamps
> Facility handling logs
> Cage dispatch records
> Any “exception” notes and
> The CCTV review.
I stressed the urgency of my request. I also advised that I'd be filing a formal complaint with the PIO (Postal Industry Ombudsman).
As of (26/01/26) AU Post has NOT responded to the above request.
So, in summary....
i) DHL gets parcel Germany-2-AU in 7 days over X-Mas/ New Year period
ii) A 12kg, 1.0 x 0.7 x 0.25m carton is 'lost' (stolen) within an AU Post sorting facility, and all this sham of an org. can offer is regret....
As the below stats (via an ABC investigation) show, this is NOT an isolated incident. Australia Post has Form
> 10,000+ Gov. issued ID docs* 'lost' in just 3 years.
*(incl. 3200 passports)
> $400K of items stolen by one Contractor alone.
> Bank Cards stolen & fed to $1.4M fraud operation
> ID/financial data of 1.6M Super customers stolen.
> 8.9% increase in complaints to PIO in last FY.
The figures are staggering and should be a source of shame & disgust for anyone harbouring the illusion we live in a country with 1st World Institutions where wronged consumers can be confident of redress through rule-of-law.
A high-level* investigation into this unaccountable, arrogant and corrupt organisation is way overdue.
*Royal Commission? Forget It. No Government will investigate a corrupt government organisation.
i dont know who delivered my parcel…
i dont know who delivered my parcel markes express post, all the address on the parcel were correct, yet it was a person 5 doors away that came to deliver it, i dont mind if it is an error on the delivery person, thos it shouldnt happen , but i get agro when the post office makes out it my fault and treat me like an idiot, i have asked why it was sent to the wrong address even tho i sent them a photo of the parcel with the correct address, i have 5 answers all generated as standard letters, still saying the address was wrong, NO my address on the parcel was correct even after sending a photo they still make out iam the stupid one, as for these people all different ones answering, i suggest you learn your job and find out why, a lass brought my parcel instead of Auspost.Thank heaven it wasnt expensive items, but that not the issue, who ever delivered this in Auspost needs glasses or learn to read English, still keep getting the same standard note from them, not happy with Auspost.date of delivery is roughly.still have the box if needed.
If I could give zero stars I would
If I could give zero stars I would. Nothing but problems. The latest - today they said they attempted to deliver my parcel at 9.28am but there was no one in attendance - rubbish! I was in and listening for the postie all morning. Also no card left and no photo evidence either, just an email telling me they attempted delivery. AP are utterly useless. How come Amazon get deliveries right all the time and AP always mess it up.
Mt Isa Aus post and StarTrack are rubbish
Australia post has constantly let me down I order my meds via mail and get promised 2-3 day delivery timeframes, I order from nsw or Melbourne and it’s here in 3-4 days but when I order from Brisbane it’s without a doubt 1-2 week wait times with an added delay of sitting in Mt Isa for a week it’s ridiculous there is no reason my parcel should take a week to come from Mt Isa to Cloncurry when it’s 120km away absolute disgraceful, got faster deliveries in the 70s by horseback
on 18 December 2025 I sent 2 packages…
on 18 December 2025 I sent 2 packages to Europe, one to Luxembourg and the other to London. Neither of the tracking reference issued on my receipt are recognized by their system. I don't exit, I have no place to go, I can only assume that someone in Australia Post has a side hustle of stealing packages and marking tracking references as invalid. They can't be trusted, don't use them
Australia post is a joke
Australia post is a joke, Took them 7 days to deliver a package from BRISBANE to GOLD COAST
when contacted support they practically told me to just " deal with the delay " i wish there was a way to Ban Australia post from touching your parcels
Waited for almost 10minutes for a human…
Waited for almost 10minutes for a human to talk to me. She quickly appears then disappeared.
I orderd a product from Victoria
I orderd a product from Victoria, they sent it on the 22 and delivery was dupposed to be in WA by 24. Its 31 and no parcel. So i called 2x and they have no idea were the parcel is!!! I keep on getting the same answer we need 3to5 days. Absolutly rediculous. I could have driven there faster. And when i wanted to speak to a manager its imposible, as they have to fill out paperwork and it takes 3 days!!?? R u kidding me. Absolute shambles.
The staff didn't even scan my parcel to begin with?????? So now its lost
I had a parcel posted IN STORE, physically handed to an Aus Post worker in Devonport, Tasmania. It was to be posted express post to Melbourne, Victoria, paying $24 for delivery, which in itself is absolutely ridiculous. 11 days later, I have not received any correspondence about the parcel, and it has been lost. Based on the information I have been told, the useless staff in Devonport didn't even scan the parcel to begin with. Now they can't find it in store or in the tracking system. When speaking to the staff, they state 'we're too busy, its Christmas' and to check online. No details are online, because they didn't scan the parcel in the first place, and not to mention, it is now past Christmas, and there is absolutely no excuse for losing a parcel, especially when you DIDNT EVEN SCAN IT IN THE FIRST PLACE. This parcel is of great value to me, I have owned it for several years and purchased it overseas. SHAME ON YOU AUSTRALIA POST!!! FIND MY DAMN PARCEL!!!!
I had a parcel from Tokyo to Brisbane
I had a parcel from Tokyo to Brisbane. it took 1.5 days for the parcel to be sent from Tokyo to Brisbane airport. every arrival and departures recorded and tracked. then it landed in Brisbane it took 4 days from Brisbane Airport to go to various depots and by pass my house. and i know this not because of tracking because i went to a post office to find out where is my item. this dismal performance is never going to get fixed. no one cares about these reviews. why? because people here dont want to provide service to others no one takes pride do do a good job! most people want least effort for most gain!!!! out come of capitalism and individualistic society!!! i am sure no one from Australia post will ever read these
Blatantly stealing
I paid express delivery on 23/12 so being reasonable I thought well delivery could be Boxing Day. It’s the 28th and still not delivered and tracking says 31st. Sorry I paid for express not 7 days which I obviously should’ve. I want my money back! This is robbery Australia Post!
Fabulous service on the busiest season of all
Have always had fab service with mail/parcel deliveries but Australia Post excelled in the Christmas rush.
Had an overseas parcel make it on Christmas Eve, up to 5 days ahead of estimated arrival date.
Thank you Australia Post for getting our last Christmas gift to us on time to be wrapped and presented on Christmas Day.
Excellent tracking service
From Canada, I would like to THANK Australia Post for the excellent service relating to the tracking of our purchase in Australia. It was like following Santa Claus across the world. My grand-child will be extremely happy to receive her Douglas plush for Christmas. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU !!!! Happy Holidays to all of you !
Parcel mis deliveried then blamed me
Parcel mis deliveried then blamed me for putting wrong address on Express Post, no photo taken and left in safe place , I call BS, Australia Post you can stick your parcel delivery , Im NEVER using your crap service ever again 3 years in a row , missing parcel, but to blame the Customer a new low from Aust Post, disgusting
Satisfied in Perth
I'm in Perth and have never had an issue with Australia Post. The tracking is always updated and accurate, I get notified via text the day it's coming and the delivery driver always hand delivers it. I've recently dealt with another courier company who have lost my parcel and it's been disastrous to deal with. So I've written this review as Australia Post have never let me down... *touch wood*!
Always says my parcel is coming today…
Always says my parcel is coming today but failed to deliver it. Crap management and lazy staff.
Pay for Priority post we pay more for less service.
Pay for Priority post one parcel gets its destination and one has had no tracking just the generic in transit info, they were both being delivered around the same area.
Why pay Priority if it means nothing, in fact this parcel that is missing it's tracking the reason I used priority in the first place. We don't get what we pay for shame on you Australia post you have got greedy definately not in service to the Australian people.
Very dissapointing experience
I am extremely disappointed with Australia Post’s handling of my parcel and subsequent complaint.
On 25 November, I lodged a parcel containing biltong and jerky (time-sensitive food products) at an Australia Post outlet. The sales assistant helped me pack the parcel, was fully aware of the contents, and advised that the service selected would deliver within 3–6 business days. Based on this advice, I also took out additional insurance for $1,000.
The parcel was meant to go to Adelaide, but due to a sorting error by Australia Post, it was incorrectly sent to Perth, where it sat for approximately one week. I returned to the post office on 1 December, where staff tracked the parcel, confirmed it was in Perth, and lodged a formal complaint on my behalf, noting that the contents were time-sensitive. I later received email confirmation acknowledging that the delay was due to a sorting issue on Australia Post’s end.
The parcel was finally delivered on 8 December — well outside the promised timeframe — and arrived covered in mould and completely unfit for consumption. The entire shipment had to be destroyed. My total loss was approximately $1,800. I provided photo evidence and updated my complaint accordingly.
Despite all of this, Australia Post:
Refused to acknowledge responsibility for the loss
Shifted the blame onto me for “choosing the wrong service”
Ignored the fact that their staff assisted me and failed to warn me
Refused to reimburse even the $1,000 insured amount
I received a call on 18 December advising that no reimbursement would be paid. After requesting escalation, I received another call from a manager who again confirmed that no compensation would be offered.
This experience shows a complete lack of accountability, misleading advice at point of sale, and refusal to honour insurance for a loss caused by Australia Post’s own error.
Case/Complaint Number: 69869959
I would not trust Australia Post with time-sensitive or business-critical deliveries again.
They should either close the shops or…
They should either close the shops or give it to other hands to run properly.
I bought a Bose speaker for the holidays paid for fast delivery bound to be delivered on Saturday morning but around 11:00 am got a massage missed the delivery as no one at home infact we all were at home waiting checked camera s no one came, had to go tip LPO on Monday to pickup wasted 2 hrs. it’s just a failed business doesn’t care about the customers no one is there to answer !!! Horrible .
