Total Scam!

I made the mistake of signing up with them recently before I read some of the online reviews. I never deposited any money on their site or participated in any transactions. I contacted them and politely asked that they delete my account. They are refusing to delete my account despite my multiple requests that they do so! Now they are asking me to record a screencast of the detailed record of the latest funding source of my last deposit (even though I never linked any funding source to their site). They are asking me to do the same with my "withdrawls". The last time they contacted me, they asked me to provide a screenshot of the account deletion request that they already had (which I did). Do yourself a favor and stay far away from these scammers!

SHADY EXCHANGE STAY AWAY

After fully verifying my account, I deposited money to the exchange and they decided to hold the deposit/ restrict trading for no reason. They continued to ask for more verification (video and voice) which was not stated on the verification page. They wait until you deposit and hold your money ransom until you agree to their terms. They also expect you to also pay a 5$ usd "handling fee" to receive it. I would not recommend this exchange to anyone (unless you want to get scammed). Be careful. (Positive reviews are fake)
UPDATE: They claim they refunded to the original location which was actually NOT the original location(did not send to coinw account for some reason). They fabricated the original deposit 1 day late and kept pressing me that it was the original deposit. Lazy Arab scammers didn't even try to do a good job. I have all the proof 100% SCAM STAY AWAY!

Despite my on line due diligence ( lots…

Despite my on line due diligence ( lots of fake and unverified reviews and comments ) it seems I may have been a victim of a romance scam involving and Asian woman and CoinW application who contacted me on social media and indicated she works for a large firm in the US. We chatted ( including face time and live chats ) She also sent me her Driver License and Green card - - it all seemed legit to me at the time - And she indicated a desire to teach me about Crypto investing.

At the request of the Asian woman I downloaded the CoinW app and in the beginning things worked out well. I was able to fund the account, made some money doing my own trades and was able to process small withdrawals ( under 3k ). However, things appear to have turned sour when I attempted to redeem a larger amount. I contacted customer support using telegram to review my withdrawal and enquire about the timing of the release or transfer of my funds - Customer Service then replied it was request denied and my account was frozen until I paid 19K in tax within 30 days and if not my account would be considered abandoned and my funds sent to HKMA ( Hong Kong )

The Asian is bewildered and indicated nothing like this has ever happened before and will do what she can to help come up with a solution.

I then decided to contact CoinW using their email support centre, I sent a screen shot of my CoinW app - long story short it is NOT CoinW legitimate app and I was using a scam app made to look like a CoinW platform -

Still remain hopeful a solution can be arranged -

CoinW is a shady scam company

CoinW is a shady scam company, that refuses to delete your account. They keep saying the same bullsh*t lie for months, something about "the ability to delete accounts is currently being upgraded", which is such a ridiculous lie, that it hurts. They refuse to remove your email from their newsletter, they refuse to stop sending you spam emails. They basically don't comply with any data protection regulation. And if they don't even do THAT, then are they even complying with any other regulations? I call them a scam company.

Edit: Regarding the "answer" CoinW gave below:
That is precisely the lie they tell you, when you contact their support and request a deletion.
They don't even read what you write, like with this comment, and just give a, seeimgly, automated answer. Obviously I have contacted the support, multiple times, obviously I have asked to delete my account, obviously I have asked to put me off their mail list.

They refuse every time, and give the same worthless lie as an excuse for months. And then they have the audacity to tell me to put them on their blacklist? You are obliged by EU law to delete my account on my request and delete all my data, including my e-mail. You refused for months. You do not comply with EU regulations, despite operating in the EU. You are a shady scam company.

Regarding your request to delete your account, the platform has recently launched a deletion feature. You can contact their customer service to initiate the account deletion process for you.
If you prefer not to contact the platform's customer service to initiate the account deletion process and do not wish to receive email notifications from the platform, you can add the platform's email address to your email's blacklist. This way, even if they send you spam emails, you won't receive them.

CoinW blackmailed/extorted me into KYC + arbitrage issues

3/2/24 EDIT: Regarding the CoinW reply + reverse arbitrage.

CoinW is as corrupted as the US SEC and Federal Government. My account remains suspended, having done nothing illegal & did not break any CoinW rules. Stay away from CoinW. Eventually, they will extort or swindle your account in some way. A previous issue had on CoinW was that they used a reverse arbitrage tactic in order to overcharge a purchase and then again when I tried to immediately correct the issue by selling it back. In each direction the arbitrage advantage was reversed and I lost $ in both directions. CEXs, especially CoinW are not safe. Be Aware!

CoinW blackmailed/extorted me into KYC. USDT had been sent to my CoinW account from a crypto loan site. CoinW claimed that funding from a crypto loan was an AML issue. Funding from a crypto loan is completely legal and is done daily throughout the industry. Using a crypto loan to send funds to any account is not an AML issue. CoinW withheld the USDT deposit from me & locked the account. CoinW also confiscated all of the currency that the account held prior to the attempted USDT deposit. CoinW blackmailed/extorted into providing them with personal and sensitive information in return for the funds. The information demanded by CoinW was beyond the standard KYC information. These CEX's are completely out of control and are not held accountable for their illegal practices. Stay clear of CoinW if at all possible.

We are very sorry to encounter such an issue on your first use of this app. This may be because the source address of your recharge is a high-risk address, triggering the anti-money laundering system, so the platform does not accept this recharge. They will refund you, but you need to complete KYC first, provide a video of the source of the funds, and prepare a handling fee for the refund. As for the platform asking you to recharge more money, they are asking you to recharge for your account as a handling fee. With the handling fee, they can process the refund for you.

Avoid Coinw.com - A Scam Website Stealing User Funds

I am writing this review as a cautionary tale to anyone considering using Coinw.com for cryptocurrency transactions. My experience with this platform has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel compelled to share my story to protect others from falling victim to their deceitful practices.

I initially joined Coinw.com with the intention of engaging in cryptocurrency trading. However, upon attempting to withdraw my BTC funds, I encountered insurmountable obstacles. Not only was the withdrawal process mysteriously blocked, but my account was also subsequently disabled without any explanation.

Efforts to contact their customer support were met with silence, and it became painfully apparent that I had fallen prey to a scam. Coinw.com not only stole my hard-earned BTC but also took measures to block any communication and resolution attempts.

I want to emphasize the importance of exercising extreme caution when dealing with this platform. My experience serves as a stark warning to potential users—Coinw.com is not a trustworthy or reliable platform. The risk of losing your funds and having your account blocked without warning is very real.

In light of this, I strongly advise against using Coinw.com for any cryptocurrency-related activities. There are numerous reputable and transparent platforms available that prioritize user security and satisfaction. Learn from my unfortunate experience, and please beware of Coinw.com. Your hard-earned funds deserve a more secure and reliable home.

Stay safe, and choose your cryptocurrency platforms wisely.

CoinW is not the culprit when a…

CoinW is not the culprit when a beautiful Asian woman steers you to them. It is a different version of CoinW called by a slightly modified name. Coinweg, Coinwfb or whatever is a fake website that has all the elements of a trading platform. Don't be fooled by the claim that you can withdraw your money or continue trading with a little bit of money. The fake platforms use Telegram for their chats and they delete the accounts on a regular basis. They eventually require you to get your position up by $3500 with another more substantive deposit.

The woman could be a man using a woman's photos. Even if you chat with someone, that person could be a cover and not the person you are supposedly chatting with.

So, if you want to use the real CoinW, go to the playstore and download that app. Don't go to a website that is supplied by the pretty Asian woman.
