Frozen Funds

Hello, end of last year got connected with CoinW and than with Trust Wallet, not sure how one cannot yes each is separate , when I have funds in CoinW which are frozen and when I was able to transfer funds to Trust wallet, I am not able to transfer or withdraw funds. When trying to retrieve funds, I am told to send 15% of total in order to get my crypto.

Thank you for sharing your experience — and we’re truly sorry to hear about this situation.

From what you’ve described, it sounds like you may have encountered a scam involving a fake or impersonated version of CoinW. Please note:

🔒 CoinW will never ask users to pay a percentage (such as 15%) to unlock or withdraw their funds.
📨 If someone is demanding payment to access your crypto, it is almost certainly a fraud.

To clarify your situation:

If you have an official CoinW account, and your funds are frozen, please reach out directly to our official support team at:
📧 support@coinw.zendesk.com
Provide your UID and any transaction details — we will assist you from there.

Also, make sure the CoinW platform you accessed is the real one: https://www.coinw.com

We're here to help and can assist you in verifying whether your account is secure and legitimate. You're not alone — scams like this are sadly becoming more common, and reporting it is the first step toward resolving it.

I feel like a fool!

I feel like a fool! I was warned, but my financial desperation got the better of me. I am a senior, grandfather, and because of my wife’s failing health I tried to invest thru Jane (Jenny Ma) at Coinw and successfully (I thought) earned via multiple transactions and finalized an “XRP” trade this morning. After months of $2000 trades, it appeared that I had earned $43k this morning. I was then hustled into withdrawing the funds and giving all my bank account info and then hit with a Tax consequence requiring an additional $7254 payment, through the platform no less! I did a little research and learned that tax laws on Crypto gains are treated as normal “Capital Gains” and not subject to immediate taxation! They are paid per usual by April 15 of the following year. Then I read all of these reviews! Holy crap! If anyone here can guide me on how to recover my losses I would be very thankful. Scammers and crooks have ruined Crypto for me. I only hope I can recover some of my initial investment. It would be of such a help to me and my ailing wife. Surviving these threats to Social Security and Medicare are stressful enough.

We are truly sorry to hear about your experience. We fully understand how distressing this situation must be for you and your family, especially given the circumstances. Unfortunately, there has been a rise in fraudulent schemes impersonating legitimate platforms and individuals, and it deeply saddens us when vulnerable users are targeted in this way.

Please note that CoinW has no affiliation with any individual named Jane or Jenny Ma, and we do not conduct investment solicitations or request users to provide personal bank details or pay additional taxes to withdraw funds. These are clear signs of impersonation and fraud.

If you believe you were misled by someone pretending to be associated with CoinW, we strongly urge you to:

Report the incident to your local authorities and cybersecurity crime units.
Submit a detailed report to our official support email: support@coinw.zendesk.com so we can investigate and assist further.
Do not share any further personal or financial information with the individual or website involved.
We understand the emotional and financial toll this can take, and we remain committed to helping you in any way we can. Please be assured that your case will be taken seriously.

If you have any screenshots, wallet addresses, or transaction records, please include them in your report to help our team verify and trace any fraudulent activity.

Wishing you and your wife strength and support during this difficult time.

coinw is a scam

Yes, coinw is a total scam. I don't know about coinW (capital W) but coinw is a scam.
They don't publish their rules. If you don't trade a large amount, they deny your withdrawals.
They give you mining contract options but when the contract is up you can't withdraw your earnings.
They need to be shut down by the authorities wherever they are.

Pas on this app. We’ve been trying to make a withdrawal…

Update March 05/25
It’s been another 3 weeks. I’ve sent multiple emails as indicated in the reply and still no replies from this customer support group. We were assured this was a trusted program to make investments with and took the chance. If you don’t have money to throw away don’t use CounW. Such a disappointment.

Original post Feb 18/25
We’ve been trying to make a withdrawal for over a month now. The first attempt didn’t go though and the funds were replaced at current market value (less then the date of withdrawal). Now we can’t get customer service to answer any of the messages. Very disappointed we’ve been taken advantage of this way. Our next step will be a call to the authorities as there is no phone number to contact them directly.

Usureros y desagradecidos. Very bad. Bad practices. After 7 times of trying, they finally released my funds, getting a small balance like other exchanges. And to unsubscribe they ask you for a video talking to your ID. It couldn't be worse. Nexo to change your number or cancel the account also a video talking to your ID. Then you get that the video can't be heard or seen well. Really exhausting. Because they don't allow you to use passkey, the 2nd email and message at the same time. It is supposed to be you who is behind wanting to process. Usurers and ungrateful.

I was scammed by President Coinw Sonia

I was personally scammed by President Coinw Sonia Shaw. Just imagine, they scam people for 500 dollars... I'm in shock. The amount isn’t large, but when it comes to tens of thousands of users, it’s no small sum. These are fraudsters with a capital F. Moreover, the information about the creators is hidden. There’s no transparency. It's better to avoid such an exchange.

SCAM

Never trust CoinW. My account was froze the 2nd time. The 1st time I made mistakes due to wallet address which I admit. The 2nd time when I contacted customer service if my account is able to withdraw money and if there is any limits. They told me I can do whatever I want and there is no limit. Tried to withdraw the 2nd time and they froze it again saying that I need to deposit 100% of the withdrawal amount to restore my account. Contacted customer service again and they told me that the risk amount is 1000USD. If there is 1000USD risk amount then why would they tell me previously that there isn't any limit for withdrawal and they told me that I need to whitelist my withdrawal address when I have withdrew money before and because of this they are asking me to deposit 5000USD. Never trust this app again. SCAM!

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you’ve experienced with our platform.

To clarify, if an incorrect trading password is entered multiple times, the system automatically enforces a 2-hour security lock to protect your account. We understand this may be frustrating, and we truly appreciate your patience during this time.

If you believe the password you entered is correct and still encounter issues, we highly recommend resetting your trading password directly through the "Reset Trading Password" option. This is the best way to ensure that you can regain access to your account securely.

Scam

Scam. Never received the bonuses. They asked me to open a trade account which I did immediately then on the following they said that I opened it too late although the event was not over. I've asked them many questions related to the bonus which they didn't answer. Looks like they were trying to gain time and then pretend I didn't do all the tasks needed. Worst experience ever. Avoid at all cost. They just want your money because when you transfer your money out, they will keep some of it + you have to pay fees. So instead of making money, you actually lose money from choosing this shitty exchange. Hope they ask to give more details as I will provide with pleasure. Let's see if they dare.

Not Allowed to Withdraw Funds......SCAM

I purchased Bitcoin through Cash App and transferred it to CoinW to trade. Process was fairly straight forward, until I tried to withdraw funds. At first I was told I did not meet the trade node expectation and needed to invest more money. I was able to do so, trade at a good moment, and made a little money. Tried to withdraw and was informed I need to pay taxes and fees before I can withdraw my funds. Never heard of this! Customer service tells me I need to pay within 30 days or it will be considered tax evasion and my account will be frozen.

Half Million USD Account Frozen

I made a successful trade on CoinW, turning $60,000-$70,000 into over $525,000.00. CoinW then immediately froze my account stating my trade had triggered "anti money laundering and terrorist funding protocols." A month later, they have still not released my funds despite me sending in financial documents, videos of myself logging into my CoinW and Coinbase accounts, etc. It would appear the trading on the site is flawless until you actually make a significant profit. At that point they lock your account and make it impossible to withdraw your funds. I am willing to provide screenshots of all transactions and email correspondence to anyone asking for proof of my experience. I will update this review if CoinW decides to unlock my account. Update for 01/01/2025. No change. I keep getting asked for the same information already provided by different individuals from the support email (different people respond to the same support email chain), as if no one is reviewing the email chain before requesting information. The requests are often very generic and lack detail so it is very difficult to comply with requests and the support email expresses irritation when follow up questions are asked for clarification. Due to the lack of clarity in the requests, I am being told the information sent (which I have sent multiple times) needs corrections/additions, but the specific corrections/additions are not indicated. I will continue to update as the situation develops. Final Update: Funds were fully released to me 01/14/2025. The amount of panic attacks I had over the uncertainty of whether or not I would have half a million dollars unlocked cannot be understated. So bravo on CoinW for releasing my funds, but I immediately withdrew all money and will not resume business with them.

Never know what they will come up with.

Never know what they will come up with.
I was completely new to trading in the crypto field, and a friend is guiding me through the process. She helped me with some additional funds to make a trading node, and neither of us realized her depositing into my account isn’t permitted. However, I was never notified until…
I went to withdraw my funds, and after two hours I noticed the transaction didn’t go through. I reached out to customer service and they told me that my funds were frozen by the international risk department because of money laundering.
After explaining in desperation that this was an honest mistake and I’m not a criminal, they told me my only option for the funds to be released is to immediately deposit $193000.00 to prove I’m not laundering money!!!
It's like they know that someone loaned me money and I can't come up with funds. So they take advantage of the opportunity to lock my funds. All they say is there’s nothing they can do to get my 100s of thousands back to me.
They didn’t even take the time to email me and notify me that they think I’m laundering money. I had to reach out. And please tell me why sending them another $193k is going to prove I’m not laundering money? This is against any ethics of any banking rules that I have ever heard of.
