The decaff tea tastes like decaff tea of old (when the taste was so distinctly different / flowery that you knew you were drinking decaff and not caff tea). Even most supermarket budget decaff tea ta... See more

Why has Clipper Everyday Organic tea changed so much? It was a lovely golden, fresh-tasting drink until this last packet of 100 (bought in August 2022). Now dark and bitter! Won’t be buying again des... See more

Tonight’s brew has made my mind up.

Clipper has been my favourite tea for many years now however, it seems like the taste has changed with the introduction of the new packaging. It reminds me of cardboard and tastes quite unpleasant.

I will finish this box as I hate waste, but once this has gone I will be trying other brands as it is a less enjoyable and quite unpleasant flavour.

Decline in quality of Clipper tea bags

Not sure what's happened to the flavour of the tea recently. Since purchasing the 80 bag box of Clipper tea, I've noticed a change. The strength and depth of flavour has disappeared and it has become cheap and weak tasting. Is this since the packaging has changed? I wouldn't mind less tea bags if the quality was the same but it is very disappointing now. I'm not buying it again I'm afraid.

Used to love this decaffeinated tea

Used to love this decaffeinated tea. My recent box has changed, very weak no matter how long I leave it to brew. Won't be buying anymore.

I received a voucher after complaining to Clipper.
I've tried them again and they are back to their good quality so worth giving them another try!😁

Foil free packaging has changed the taste!

I loved clippers decaf tea as they’re the only company (that I know of) in the UK who decaffeinate their tea without chemicals. The taste recently has changed, and I think it’s ever since they took the foil packaging away, the tea tastes like the cardboard that it comes in! Whether it’s seeping through the teabag now it doesn’t have a foil packing as protection, or they’ve changed the recipe I have no idea.
Such a shame. If the foil packets come back I’ll probably buy them again, until then I’m afraid they’ve lost a customer!

Poor quality teas

I thought I was just imagining the change with Clipper teabags (normal everyday tea and Peppermint are the ones we've used for a long time), until I saw others saying the same. They used to be what I would describe as more premium, but for a while now I've noticed that both are very bland and tasteless, akin to very cheap, 'value' types you can buy from supermarkets (for a fraction of the price of Clipper, too).

We won't be using Clipper teas anymore, sorry to say. They really are poor now.

Absolutely adore clipper.

Absolutely adore clipper.
Love the peppermint and nettle. Really disappointed to learn that the orange blossom tea I thoroughly enjoyed in the advent calendar is discontinued! (Those two sachets were amazing!) I love also the chamomile (I put it with peppermint so if you could please combine the two i would be greatful!) Also, the calmer chameleon and raspberry tea fabulous! And I also really enjoyed the lemon green tea - I don't drink tea but these guys converted me! I even like the lemon and black tea now whereas before I didn't drink any tea including herbals! Good going Clipper!
Ps - I have had to dedicate a whole cupboard now and can't wait wait to buy a display stand! (I would feel like I'm in a hotel!)

What has happened to my favourite tea.

What has happened to my favourite tea.. I have been drinking the nettle tea consistently for 5 years… I drink at least 6 cups a day… I am totally gutted to say with confidence that they must have changed the recipe! Now they are weak and tasteless… I will be writing g to the CEO to confirm the change in recipe!!!

After many years of Clipper Earl Grey…

After many years of Clipper Earl Grey as my main drink, I've finally given up buying it. It used to be (until the last few years) a refreshing, tasty, lemony (bergamot) cup of tea and now there's circular discs coming off the tea bags EVERY TIME you make a Cup of tea!!! I stupidly thought after they'd changed them - and taking double packs back for refunds coz they tasted awful all of a sudden, that they'd be back to normal again and the little discs of plastic? We're just a glitch. But I really don't want to taste this "changed" rubbish again! Such a shame, but it shows no signs of going back to normal. Yeuck! There's other beautiful brands out there so it's for the best! I've informed my daughter not to bring me home any more or their "everyday tea". Such a shame they ruined what used to be lovely!

What happened?!

Been buying clipper organic tea for years. Recently something’s changed and the tea is now weak and tasteless. I bought a few more boxes just to make sure it wasn’t a bad batch but nope, the tea is now horrible. Won’t buy again. Avoid.

I bought clipper tea a month ago…

I bought clipper tea a month ago looking forward to the usual deep warm taste. To my surprise the tea bags are now white, instead of the normal brown unrefined colour.. The best part now, I pourer hot water on, and it went clear?not the normal deep tones. So I waited the a couple of minutes still dishwater. I am so upset and disappointed definitely not their normal high quality....

Fabulous tea and super service!

I've been drinking Clipper Tea for a while now and I'm quite fond of this brand as they seem to have the most taste compared to competitors (Twinings etc) I decided to purchase directly from them as I couldn't reliably find the flavours I wanted and my local stores sadly don't stock Clipper Teas. The delivery has always been fast and I've not had any issues, would highly recommend them! :)

No, they DON’T contain plastic.

I like Clipper tea. And I’ve never had a teabag break. And they DON’T contain plastic, polypropylene or whatever. As per their website, they contain ‘a ‘non-GM bio-material made from plant cellulose known as PLA’. So yah-boo to the nay-sayers.

avoid this poor company

always used clipper but not any more! nothing ethical or fair about this brand anymore..bought 1100 fairtrade bags online as we couldnt buy locally and drink alot of tea..they keep bursting and dont taste as rounded and apparently now contain plastic in there bags!!!.contacted customer dis- services who gave me some bull**** corporate answer and offered money off future purchases..why would i spend more money on a product that isnt fit for purpose...no refund as there distributers are used as there kop-out.always thought consumers had a comeback under sales of goods act..but alas cant be bothered chasing these clowns anymore..dont make the mistake we did..looking at other reviews im not alone with there service

Salty & Almost Tasteless

I bought Clipper Decaf "Organic Fairtrade"Tea (80 bags) recently. The brew is very disappointing - almost tasteless with just a salty presence. Clipper trades on its organic and natural credentials, but this tea is more costly than others and is inferior.

The best tasting and healthiest decaf tea

Clipper make the best organic decaf tea. Not only is it one of the tastiest decaf varieties but is is also one of the only teas on high street made with the natural CO2 decaffeination process. Most of the other big tea brands use carcinogenic chemicals to separate out the caffeine. I think they are even scrapping using plastic in the tea bags. Good work Clipper.
