I’ve had the pleasure of working with City and Country for over 20 years, and they have consistently proven to be an outstanding partner in the UK home-building industry. Their commitment to quality, efficiency, and professionalism is evident in every project they undertake.
From a suppliers perspective, communication is key, and City and Country excels in providing detailed specification requirements, programme dates and performance indicators to maintain clear expectations of us. Their team is well-organized, responsive, and always willing to collaborate to find the best solutions. They prioritize using high-quality materials, which speaks to their dedication to their high profile schemes and this is reflected in their status as Housebuilders of the year at whathouse awards.
They treat their suppliers with the same respect and professionalism as they do their clients. It’s clear that they value long-term partnerships, and that’s why we’re proud to work alongside them.
We highly recommend City and Country to any supplier looking for a trustworthy, well-run company that truly values quality and collaboration. We look forward to many more years of partnership!

Sales team do not give all information that you would expect about the enviroment you will be living. This ia specific about The 1840. Upon visiting different times during day/ evening and night you hear horrifing screams from those that have been amitted to the current hospital that is situated just behind the development. I can honestly say that this has put me off. I have also spoken to others that have purchaced they have been severly let down such as a 1st time buyer the flat was not cleaned to good standard, it had defects all over the property, units also having bad condensation build up on windows. The property is an old one but if City & Country are refurbishing and selling as luxury apartments .. they have really missed the mark.

My Wife and have recently purchased a new home from City & Country at their Manningtree Park development.
From viewing the house to purchase was very smooth & the Customer Service was excellent.
Since we moved into the house the excellent service has continued.
We are very happy with the development and the house, of course we had the usual snagging problems but all minor and sorted very quickly & efficiently.
Overall very happy with the whole experience.

The men did a reasonable job but left me with a lot of clearing up. For the price with discount I was definetly ripped off! Also I had to pay cheque to one of workmens wife ..... really strange!

Don’t buy a property from City & Country unless you enjoy being ripped off and treated like scum. Company is run by some truly unpleasant and dishonest individuals and should not be in business. The same goes for their rip-off managing agents, Encore Estate Management, who are forced on residents by City & Country which continues to control the residents’ management company years after they should have handed over to the flat owners who pay the service charge. Avoid these con artists at all costs

The customer service is terrible. I purchased two flats and the experience was really bad. The flats had several issues and I struggled with hundreds of emails and phone calls to contact the company. They did not solved all the problems after 2 years of complaining. I am still waiting and complaining.
I have wasted many hours of my life and a lot of money obviously.

If I can deter anyone away from buying a property with City and country, then allow me to do so. As a purchaser, the company has no consideration for their residents. Here is just a FEW examples of my personal experience:
>Block access, therefore leaving you unable to get in and out of your property on more then 20+ occasions.
>Builders hanging their clothes over your garden fence.
>Failure to section off wet, drying tarmac, resulting in wheel and paint damage to vehicle.
>Installed the wrong tiles in bathroom >Ordered the wrong kitchen in a completely different colour.
>Contractors trying to enter your property whilst you’re not there.
> Contractors coming to my property to ask to if my garage is block work or brick work.
>Installed the backdoor the wrong way round so water flows into the house rather than out.
>Nails left on floor throughout drive access.
I made a complaint with City and Country and they were absolutely incapable of taking accountability. They remain unhelpful and incompetent.
This is the most disgusting organisation I have ever come across.
