Stayed overnight in Glasgow - good location, compact room, comfy bed. On the downside - no kettle to make a coffee. I accidentally left my decent Anker charger in the room - e-mailed an hour after I'd... See more

Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. We asked for recommendations on finding a babysitter or babysitting service for an adult night out. Their answer to every question from the start was simply "no"
There was no apology or explanation as to why they couldn't help or make a recommendation. The "friendly human" as they call it was very unfriendly.
The best experience ever
The best experience ever, our flight were declined, so we had to booked another hotel very quick, employes were absolutely fantastic especially Atooshi❤️ ,Alectrona❤️(the best drag queens in the world) and also Aleandro (receptionist) he was so sweet and helpfull❤️❤️ this hotel should be renamed to House of Angels❤️ because there are some Angels under the roof❤️ Thomas AkA Valkeria from Czech
3:00 am cocoa
Friendly staff, clean room and fun lobby! Loved the huge window overlooking the bay! Couldn't sleep so I wandered down to Lobby where staff made me a hot cocoa. Definitely coming back. <3
Overpriced, underserved
Overpriced, lack of service. Folks, this place is weird. The theme of the hotel is weird, the rooms are tiny. Think half the size of a normal hotel room. Everything‘s operated by a little iPad and when it’s not working, you can’t turn your lights on and off or even your TV on and off. Zero amenities. They don’t even provide coffee in the room. No microwave in the room and the refrigerator they give you is about the size of a milk carton. This place is like a hotel from some dystopian novel. Another example of a place they want you to serve yourself but pay them and tip them.
Extremely helpful
I needed to call the Paris Gare de Lyon CitizenM hotel (from UK) to ask questions about available wheelchair accessible rooms etc. I have had the most helpful person on the phone - gentleman called David. Nothing was a problem and everything explained clearly. I will most certainly be booking into this hotel and will write another review of the actual experience at the hotel. If it is anything like their phone helpline, it will be brilliant 5 stars again.
I passed by the front desk last night…
I passed by the front desk last night needing assistance with car service. The gentleman at front desk jumped into action right away & he saved the day! He is my superhero believe it or not 🦹🏾♂️. I was miles from home & needed to rush to the train station to get it on time before the strike began. Thank God for him we arrived safety to out destination. The hotel lobby is RADIANT!! This place is GORGEOUS!!
What an utterly dreadful experience
What an utterly dreadful experience! Not only did I have to extend my stay twice due to insurmountable obstacles, but I also faced significant inconvenience throughout. The lack of competence in record-keeping led me to consider switching hotels altogether. My weekend plans were completely ruined as I dealt with payment issues, and the establishment's unconventional hospitality felt like a nightmare. Not only did they fail to clean my room for over a week, but they also audaciously diverted $6 daily to their charity without consent for not providing cleaning services—a bizarre practice indeed. Their fluctuating rates felt like exploitation, and the lack of transparency and fair pricing was unacceptable. Everything, from requesting an iron to ordering food (with no room service available), seemed problematic. It felt like I was working for all my needs during my stay, only to be met with disappointment. This ordeal has left me thoroughly disillusioned with their supposed high-tech service. I truly sympathize with the staff who struggle to explain the constant issues to frustrated guests. You'd be better off at any motel than this disastrous establishment!
Disappointment in Genève
I recently had a highly disappointing experience with CitizenM hotels, particularly with their Geneva location. After booking a room and providing my credit card details, I was excited to stay at this hotel. However, upon my arrival, I was informed that my reservation had been cancelled and there were no rooms available. This unexpected turn of events left me frustrated and inconvenienced.
What troubled me the most was the lack of communication and transparency regarding the cancellation. I received no prior notification, which not only wasted my time but also put me in a difficult situation of finding alternative accommodation at the last minute. As a customer, I expect a basic level of service and responsibility from a reputable hotel chain like CitizenM.
This incident has left a negative impression on me, and it has raised concerns about the reliability and professionalism of CitizenM hotels. I hope that such issues are addressed promptly and efficiently in order to maintain the trust and loyalty of their customers.
Taking advantage of
My husband and I, had 3 nights at the south lake union hotel Seattle. New Year’s Eve, space needle. My husband took one of his notorious, hour long showers. With the design of the shower (2 inch lip) and the fact the drain was completely plugged. It flooded. Now I understand, that’s a problem. Next day, locked out of room and charged $500. When I went to shower, didn’t get shampoo out of hair before again backed up completely. On that note, maintenance came. We were moved to different room. And, were told it was our incompetence of the first flood with no refund on $500. I would understand, a fee on excessive towel use.
I faced an issue with Citizen M when…
I faced an issue with Citizen M when attempting to book a meeting room with lunch. Surprisingly, there's an undisclosed 48-hour advance notice for breakfast/lunch reservations, not mentioned on their @SocietyM platform. Tomorrow, I'll discuss this with a hotel Ambassador to explore options for arranging sandwiches during the meeting. The complexity of position names adds to the challenge. :-(
I wish I could give them a zero
I wish I could give them a zero. They stole money. I had a receipt from my booking with a $6.36 local tax. Well, they decided to charge me 17€. They are disloyal. I have gone to this hotel for over a hundred times. Now they lost a customers. Thieves!
Location at airport good, staff exceptional
We were recently marooned at Amsterdam Schiphol airport for 3 days by KLM. We were advised by KLM to make our own hotel arrangements. After an intolerable delay at our departure airport we were met at CitizenM Amsterdam Schiphol by cheerful and sympathetic staff, who made check-in a breeze. This was our first stay at a CitizenM and, despite being pensioners, we found it's "quirkiness" delightful. The room was compact but by very clever design had everything that was needed without seeming cramped. But the main plus point of this hotel is their staff. To a man and woman they were extremely courteous and good natured and couldn't do enough for you, which was handy as KLM couldn't access our suitcases for us to take from the airport leaving us with virtually just what we were standing in. The staff made dire circumstances a good deal more bearable.
Disappointing Stay
I recently stayed at the branch in London and, unfortunately, my experience did not meet my expectations set by their price point. The check-in process was disorganized and time-consuming. Once in the room (tiny size), I was met with a series of disappointments: the cleanliness was below standard with noticeable dust and a lingering odor, the bathroom amenities were lacking, and the noise levels from the adjacent rooms were intolerable. I brought these issues to the attention of the hotel staff, but the response was unsatisfactory, with minimal effort made to rectify the situation. This stay has left me with a poor impression, and I cannot recommend Citizen M based on my experience.
Never ever get a membership
Never ever agree to a membership with CitizenM. Aside from changing the benefits without consulting their members, they will never allow you to cancel. Yes they’ll say they’ve cancelled your membership but they will continue to bill you forever.
I’m in my 4th endlessly long conversation with them where they agree to cancel my membership then BAM! another charge on my ViSA card. I can’t stop them. Even their own staff can’t make it stop.

The Quality vary from city to city
The Quality vary from city to city
New York its a hit or a miss London same

Citizen M Great Service
I recently booked the Amstel Amsterdam hotel for a 3 night stay. Unfortunately, this never went ahead due to the UK traffic control failure in Aug, however i wanted to acknowledge my thanks to the Citizen M team for first arranging two rooms together and then promptly organising a refund when our flight was cancelled. I found it very easy to use the website and contact the hotel using the chat service when i needed to. As always, its when things go wrong, that you discern the great companies.
Failed model
Wow. All the negative reviews make a lot of sense as they reflect my own experience. They want to show how innovative they are by implementing juvenile ideas, but the end result is horrible.
Terrible experience
Uncomfortable small rooms with the sink in the actual room. Ipad controlled not synchronised where next door was controlling the light in my room. Highly not recommended 😕
Great!
My partner and I have stayed in the Glasgow, Copenhagen, New York and London hotels and have had amazing experiences in each hotel. The staff are always super friendly and the amenities are great!
Some of our highlights include the rooftop bar at New York Bowery CitizenM and the rooftop bar at Copenhagen CitizenM, the showers are always great and the staff are really friendly!
We subscribed to MyCitizenM+ for the last year and it has been brilliant.
