The service and cars are always excellent and in really good condition. They didn't have the car I booked but got a superior car instead which turned out very useful as we needed the space. They are a bit more expensive but worth it.

Car was clean and reliable, location relative to where we were staying was convenient. Pick up and drop off was straightforward BUT the lady in the office appeared to be working alone which meant she could not be in the office all the times posted on their website or on the office door. I felt sorry for her but it meant we had to wait half an hour to receive the car as she was, I think , delivering one to another customer. What I learnt was to state clearly when you want to pick up the car and be there at that time or else she may have gone out. Otherwise, it would have been five stars. .

Experience was perfect. No queue to collect the keys, went straight to the desk after arriving but did notice the queue building as we walked out from arrivals. Instructions for collection was straight forward. Car was in a great condition and wish I could have taken it home with me. Could have done with a wash but that’s only from dust on the island and I had to add screen wash. Other than that everything was spot on. Drop off was also super easy too. Left a full tank of petrol as instructed and took keys to the desk. Staff were friendly and clear with what I needed to do. I will be using them again in a few months. Definitely value for money.

Collected the car a little earlier than we booked for as we overestimated Fuerteventura airport’s busyness but wasn’t charged any sort of early fee, very quick and simple and friendly staff. Held a fuel fee which is to be returned to your card if the car is returned with equal amount of fuel in it. Drop off also simple with equally as friendly staff. Highly recommend

Service was great. We received a different car that booked but it was probably better. It was equipped with all the features that you would need to drive on Tenerife (360° camera, hill assist, AndroidAuto, ACC).
They do not require additional insurance, as full coverage is included in the basic price, which itself is quite cheap. The only deposit the want is the fuel deposit, depending on level of fuel when you pick up the car. This is then returned if you return the car with the same fuel level.

Seamless workflow. We took the car, payed, used it, and returned it - such as it should be.

There were no petty attempts to draw out more money for gas and damages that are usually expected with rental companies that I have used so far (Goldcar, Europcar etc).

Car was in excellent shape, highly equipped. There was no waiting in any of the steps of the procedure. No deposit was needed (other comapnies asked for 300 euros of deposit with a sketchy insurance policy, here the car is fully ensured).

I specifically recommend CICAR over any other Tenerife rental.

Probably the best car hire in Lanzarote. We have booked with CiCar for the last 3 of our visits to Lanzarote. Each time it's been a fast process collecting the keys and getting on the road. No attempts to sell extra insurance or other extras, just an all inclusive price. Just bring it back with a full tank. We got the car, and a free upgrade too, and were on our way in about 10 to 15 minutes. We had a minor issue with the car we originally got, the battery died, but, it was sorted with no hassle. We got a replacement car, same model, and were back on the road within 25 minutes or so. Highly recommend and will always use CiCar when visiting Lanzarote in the future.

Having reserved a well priced mid range car for a week I was given a lovely upgrade at no extra cost.
The whole booking and collection process was simple form start to finish, just fill up the car to the same fuel level as when it was collected and that's it!
Highly recommended.

They were a pleasure to deal with and did not complicate the process needlessly. This is in stark contrast to Europcar, where they did not return our deposit claiming “new damage” in a spot where the damage was already clearly noted. Cigar was friendly and easy.

The 0% insurance excess is a huge deal when it comes to selecting a car hire firm. CICAR offers this and it is the most important element. Also, we had booked a Peugeot 208 for our Tenerife hire (1 week), but by mistake I had selected a manual gear change - I am more used to automatics. The agent found me an automatic but only on a higher range Peugeot 408 and gave me it at the same price as my original booking. Terrific! We had a Peugeot 208 automatic for our 5 days on Grand Canary (also CICAR, also excellent service, including rapid take-back at the airport)
