Child Care India Trust - Real or Scam

I received a call from Child Care India Trust on my birthday asking for a donation to help underprivileged children. Since it was my birthday, i decided to donate some amount.

Today, I received another call from a senior respresentative name Anjali , she said they had a critical case involing a 7 month old baby who had suffered 60 % third-degree burns and urgently needed funds for medication and surgery.

i was emotionally moved and was about t donate again. however , my mother checked online reviews and we found several people describing very similar stories involving burn victims and urgent donation requests. that raised some concerns for me !!!!

I"m not saying the organization is a scam, but the repeated use of similar stories made me question the authenticity of the request. has anyone else had simiar experience ?
