Worst app on my phone by a mile

After my old phone bricked, which contained cryptic clues to prompt my telephone and Internet banking passwords for CB, I have been unable to access my account online for a year. No amount of phone calls, complaints, re-registering etc have worked. I appear to be permanently locked out. All other banking and credit apps on my phone are fine with some minor hassle to reinstate everything on the new phone. CB are conspicuously awful.

Virgin Money WORST service ever

Clydesdale bank customer for 15+ years. Since Virgin Money has taken over it is an awful service, would grant a minus one star if possible.

Moving my account to a bank that believes in true customer service!!

I agree the app is useless Don’t understand the constant problems they have. I have another bank account and never have issues with that app. About time Clydesdale/ Yorkshire/ Virgin whatever they call themselves get this sorted

Online banking has fallen apart!

I've been a customer of Clydesdale Bank for 23 years. Never had any problems until recently, but now? Well, oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. I have been trying for days to update or amend various DDs and SOs. The online banking service (accessed via my desktop computer) just won't work. It either won't let me log in ('We are unable to assist you online at this time, please try later.') or if it does let me log in, the scheduled payments won't load properly. If I do manage to access just the Standing Orders page, and adjust something, it goes to a blank screen with a wheel endlessly turning, and gets no further. It also then refuses to load any other page and won't let me log out, so you are left with no alternative but to close the window with the page open (far from ideal). Really, Clydesdale, this is a mess. I need a bank that works properly. I've just spent 20 minutes trying to phone Customer Services, and have got fed up with the recorded message telling me my call will be answered shortly. Clearly not, so I've hung up. I'm afraid I'm voting with my feet and will now use another bank account. Shame though. It all worked fine before the diabolical splicing with Virgin.

If I could give 0 I would. The mobile app is ludicrous. I've spent literally hours on the phone trying to get help to access the app that keeps asking for my Internet password, that I don't have. Going around in circles using my account number, sort code or telephone banking details to try to reset my Internet password. Eventually get to the 6 digit code again and the app NEVER accepts the code, so how the hell can I ever get to see my own bank details. Now we are all paper free! OMG my other bank app is a doddle but this, this is soul destroying 😫. You can't use your card to buy your bloody shopping online because you can't verify on the utterly stupid app! I'm now ready to move to another bank or put my money under my mattress 🤔

Bank lines disappear.......... really..?
Got to be the worse BUSINESS banking experience, how can we run a business when bank lines from a few days ago disappear and then reappear a few hours later.. apart from the logon issues, same as below.>!!

The CB mobile app is switching soon to…

The CB mobile app is switching soon to the Virgin mobile app. Apparently it's very easy just make sure you have the latest version of the CB app. How do I find that out? I've scrolled through various websites including FAQs all a waste of time. I don't want to start this process for it to go wrong then I'm left with no CB app OR Virgin app!

What an absolute mess virgin is

What an absolute mess this so called bank is now since Clydesdale sold out to virgin. Mobile app never works.
And now all my payees have disappeared.
Memo to CEO sort this mess out now,
Or else get someone in who can.

USELESS!!!!!!

No Business Banking access AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's just ridiculous... the constant issues with the app and online banking make running a business impossible. It's definitely time to switch to a different bank.

No access through the app

No access through the app, no access through desktop and https, card not rejected at Asda fuel pumps, just starts, accepts the pin, says card accepted and remove it, then it is cancelled time after time. Cannot get past the huge queue on the phone so have given up. Just had problem with payees being dropped from my DD list, and CB tells me that it is the payees fault.
The drift to Virgin Money is not going well, is it?

WORSE THAN USELESS

WORSE THAN USELESS - I have been with Clydesdale since the 1970's. They used to be ok but now are completely hopeless. Attempts to phone them are a waste of time since you just get music and every 30 seconds a message saying "Thank you for holding, our lines are still busy, your call will be answered shortly". Having tried to get an answer over several days, I assume that "shortly" means in several days or longer - SHOCKING SERVICE

I tried to use card at cashline and…

I tried to use card at cashline and declined .called cb helpline and informed my cadd stopped but they dont know why or any i fo why .now online banking wont load up .im on benefits and struggling for money i cant get as housebound and unable to get to local branch 3 miles away .i reckon i will take my debt elsewhere lol

Avoid

I have spent over an hour this morning on live chat trying to transfer a large lump of my money from my Clydesdale saving account to my current account with another bank following a message that my account does not allow on line transfers. It always did and I was told all savings accounts status has been changed by Clydesdale. My only option now is to go to a branch in London over 20 miles away. In the middle of a pandemic! So much for instant access. Why would anyone want to trust a bank that makes it so difficult to withdraw YOUR money.

Had enough of this mess !

The mobile app is not loading at all so tried website - but what do you know, I can’t access website until I confirm it’s me through the mobile app !!! Total nightmare and it’s not the first time. Very rarely had issues before Virgin took over (sorry merged 🥴) Had enough now - just doesn’t feel trustworthy anymore

ABSOLUTE RUBBISH BANK NOW

I tried to log in this morning only to get a message saying I had tried my password too many times, it was twice and I'm sure it was actually correct the first time, I tried again to then get a message saying they can't help me at this time, I have had a few problems with this bank recently and they never uphold your complaint, I have had enough and I am going to switch

First i takes ages to login stating "We cannot help you at this time" and when I finally get in my account does not work properly, all of my saved payees are gone and the website just will not work properly when all I want to do is make a simple transfer. When I put the debit card number into paypal to make a payment that way, Paypal say my card is declined. CB's systems are not working properly and considering this is where we keep our hard earned money needed to suruve they should really hire more professional technicians who know what they are doing. Unbelievable service. Will go into the branch tomorrow to hopefully get this all resolved.

What a mess

What a mess their online internet banking is. No reported outages, but all you get is information about the changes to Virgin, then "continue to internet banking"... not going to happen. Online help? No - not available to you. Is this how all business users are treated?

Catch-22 Banking

You need the banking app on your phone to access your account in a browser, but you need your browser to set up the app on your phone. So, if you change your phone, you're locked out of your account. Great planning, guys.
