Castle Trust Bank was launched as 'Castle Trust' in October 2012, and in June 2020 we became Castle Trust Bank – a fully authorised UK bank. We’ve offered fixed-term, fixed rate savings accounts to existing customers since the end of 2020, and launched online savings accounts to new customers in August 2021. Eligible deposits with Castle Trust Bank are protected up to a total of £120,000 by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme, the UK’s deposit guarantee scheme. We are also a provider of specialist buy-to-let, and property development mortgages.

A form posted for me to sign...

The application always feels long drawn out and even intrusive but for our own financial security we should understand why.
My concern is when I need to transfer in from another ISA. A form has to be posted for me to sign. I haven't had this with any other bank. Currently our post, along with many others nationally, is abysmal. I foresee a problem with the transfer looming over the horizon.

Most transfers can be completed electronically, depending on the ISA provider and whether they use the electronic transfer platform, without the need for paper forms.

The account was very easy to open

The account was very easy to open. The transfer went very smoothly with Castle Trust Bank keeping me informed at each stage. The transfer was also the quickest and most efficient of any I have done.
I like the App where everything is set out clearly. Well done! I would definitely recommend you.

First class transfer from previous provider

First class transfer of ISA from previous provider. Completed in just a 2-3 days. In my experience with other companies it takes weeks of stress and chasing. Castle completed the transfer without me having any stress or inconvenience.

The onboarding process was smooth

The onboarding process was smooth, however every time I log into castle trust for the first time (irrespective of using my WiFi or phone network) I am presented with an error. Once I log out and back in I am able to see my account. This has happened at least 4/5 times now.
