About Castle Fine Art
Written by the company
As the UK's leading art retailer, Castle Fine Art has been at the heart of the contemporary art movement for over 30 years.
Specialising in original fine art, hand-signed limited editions and sculpture, we unite collectors with works from an exceptional selection of world-class masters, cultural icons and homegrown contemporaries.
In 1995, we opened our first gallery in the historic market town of Stratford-upon-Avon with just one goal in mind – to share the joy of fine art. Whilst we may have expanded over the years, our foundations are built on a pure love for art – a feeling that remains in every corner of the business today. With 38 galleries nationwide and a global online store, we continue to build with the future of modern art in mind.
We strive to offer an incredible selection of art for a range of budgets and spaces. Whether you are a seasoned collector or beginning your journey, our art consultants are here to inspire and guide you every step of the way in our nationwide galleries, online, on the phone or by home appointment.

Castle Fine Art - Service above and beyond!
I have always had an absolutely fantastic experience at Castle Fine Art. Having made the mistake of buying my first couple of pieces online, I then had the joy of going into the gallery in Cambridge and meeting Jane, my new personal art consultant! Her expertise in art is matched by her great personality and genuine interest in what might work for me. I never felt pressured, only gently advised in my choices. Jane's brilliant service didn’t stop at the gallery's door, she personally delivered artwork to my home (although, I think she was scouting out which walls were left to fill!)
Thanks to Jane, I have become an avid patron. I am now the proud owner of ten beautiful Paul Corfield pieces and I have a funny feeling there will be more to come!!

Reading branch
I met Karla and the team on the weekend my partner and I first met, in fact they met him before anyone else. I bought some art that weekend and since then have bought more. We've also recommended the Reading team to family and friends.
Always so welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. My pieces are beautiful and I feel very lucky to have them, with the trust confidence in the expertise of Karla and her team.

Castle Art Reading is the place to buy…
Castle Art Reading is the place to buy from. The staff Karla and Ben are fantastic. Very welcoming, knowledgeable and patience. Have been buying from here for the past 5 yrs and wouldn’t buy from any one else. It’s more like a family get together when going in there and not a stale lifeless sales transaction. Great team.

Great service
Saw the painting online as we don’t really live near to any of the galleries.
Everything was done over the phone or via email & I have to say Dan was excellent from the first chat through to after the painting had been delivered.
Very pleased with everything & I would definitely use them again to purchase other artwork.

I was on the hunt for something special…
I was on the hunt for something special for my dad’s 70th birthday. I happened to spot some Billy Connolly prints as I passed Castle fine arts in Chester. Being a fan of the Big yin my self and knowing how much my dad enjoyed his comedy I popped in for a Quick Look. Sarah got me talking about Billy’s life and comedy and after about 10 mins I was sold on getting my dad a small part of Billy to call his own. Sarah did a fantastic job sorting postage out to New Zealand so the print was delivered in plenty of time for my dads Birthday.
Since buying that first piece for my dad I have gone ahead and bought 2 full sets always with sound advice and excellent costumer service.

Warning to Art Collectors: Inaccurate COA and Poor Follow-Up
I have previously purchased three art pieces from Castle Fine Art—Marvel works signed by Stan Lee—with no issues. However, my most recent experience was disappointing.
The latest piece I acquired was a sericel of Cinderella, based on the 1950s film but produced circa 1981—likely around the time it was hand-signed by Marc Davis. The problem arose when I received a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) that did not match the artwork.
Over a span of three months, I engaged in extensive back-and-forth communication with both Castle Fine Art and the U.S.-based company that issued the original COA. Despite multiple phone calls and emails, I never received a response from the certificate issuer.
Eventually, a representative from Castle Fine Art visited my home to examine the piece in person. They confirmed that it was indeed a sericel, but on a printed background—not a hand-painted one, as the original COA inaccurately claimed.
This experience leads me to believe that neither Castle Fine Art nor their affiliated entities thoroughly vet pieces sourced from resellers, collectors, or third-party companies. In my opinion, they fail to conduct proper due diligence.
Prospective buyers should exercise caution. Always inspect artwork in person and have it independently verified before making a purchase.
I now question the authenticity assurance practices of Castle Fine Art and their associated companies. Buyer beware.

So relaxing to be looked after.
Just been into Castle Fine Art in Stratford upon Avon for a look at the new Bob Dylan paintings.
We usually speak to Lisa or Jason for a friendly chat and to get an update on what’s new, plus it was nice to see my latest purchase hanging on the wall as I await for it’s delivery within the next few weeks.
There is always a warm welcome from all of the team at Castle Fine Art - Stratford, and there is never any pressure sales.
Well worth a visit when in the area, even if it’s just to experience how customer service should be, together with the relaxing atmosphere & works of art.

We have used Castle art on previous…
We have used Castle art on previous occasions and delt with a lovely lady called Nicola. It's because of Nicola we continue to purchase our artwork from this gallery in Chester. The attention to detail is outstanding. Nicola even dropped our artwork off at our home previously but on this occasion we used the home install and delivery service. The 2 guys where fantastic. They called us 20 mins before arrival and installed the artwork with such care and attention and attention to detail was fantastic. They cleaned up after and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend this gallery and will definitely be purchasing again well once we find a wall. Many thanks Nicola.

I recently had a wonderful experience…
I recently had a wonderful experience at Castle Fine Art that I felt deserved a mention. I originally walked into the gallery without any intention of making a purchase, but thanks to the exceptional service I received from Clodagh Malone, I left with a piece I absolutely love. Clodagh was very knowledgeable about the artists and took the time to walk me through the history and context behind each work. She was attentive, and genuinely committed to helping me find the perfect piece for the space I had in mind (finding me an amazing piece by Richard Rowan). I couldn’t recommend Clodagh or Castle Fine Art enough!

Fabulous service
I’ve been meaning to do this for a while now and that is to say how brilliant Castle Fine Art in Stratford Upon Avon, are.
A special thanks go to a great guy, Sim.
Sim looked after my wife and I from our first visit to the gallery, some three or so years ago and has been on hand and gone out of his way to look after us on many, many visits to the gallery, not always to purchase art, sometimes just to pop in and say hello.
Always such a friendly welcome and Sims art knowledge is second to none and like all good sales persons, he doesn’t pressure you, rather just leaving it to your own decisions, which is hugely appreciated.
Julie and I would like to thank Sim for taking time with us and if it’s ok to say so, becoming a friend.
Of course, The Stratford Gallery has other really super members of staff, hi Lisa, Henri and Jason.
All the best and see you all soon
Warmest regards
Trev n Julie

Great all-round gallery experience
During our day out in Stratford Upon Avon for my wife's birthday, we popped in to Castle Fine Art for a browse. This was not our first visit to this gallery and (as on previous visits) although we were "only looking" we were made to feel very welcome by Lisa who was happy discuss the artwork and ask questions about our particular favourites. We've both been fans of the Impossimals collection by Peter Smith for some time and Lisa was able to help us to secure a great deal on one of our favourites as an unexpected birthday gift for my wife. We can't wait for our "Fancy Forker" to be delivered and take pride of place on our wall. Thank you again for welcoming us into your gallery and for your friendly and informative customer service to help us with our initial purchase. We look forward to hopefully returning in the future to expand our collection.

Superb service from start to finish
Superb service from start to finish. From the moment I got in touch with them about particular piece of artwork their communication was outstanding. They were incredibly flexible about framing choice and delivered exactly within the timeframe stated. The quality of the framing is excellent and the artwork itself is stunning. I would highly recommend Castle Fine Art and intend to use them again in the future.

Great service.
We were in Brighton for a concert and wandered into Castle Fine Arts to pass some time.
We had no intention of buying anything
but were greeted with a friendly smile and offered helpful guidance from Scott when we showed an interest in a piece of Paul Kenton art.
When we got home we were able to FaceTime the gallery and once again both Scott and one of the display experts in the gallery advised us for the best place to hang the painting.
On the back of this relaxed and professional help we made a purchase and am now waiting for our Paul Kenton art to hang in our front room which we have spent 3 years looking for!!

Very happy customers
We purchased two paintings from Sim at the Stratford branch of Castle Fine Art Gallery. From entering the gallery we were welcomed, allowed to browse at our leisure but he was available when we had questions or needed some guidance. Delivery was easily arranged, and we’re very pleased with our purchases. We have kept in touch and look forward to planning another trip soon.

Wonderful day buying out very first piece of art
We purchased our first piece of art from Sim yesterday for our new home, and we couldn’t have been happier with the experience. Sim couldn’t do more to make us feel comfortable and at home in the gallery when we didn’t have a lot of knowledge. He let us take our time no rushing and absolutely no pressure . My partner and I both were very impressed with how smooth, easy and pleasant the whole experience was! Thank you so much ! We will definitely be back in the future 😊
