Do Not Use!!! Eventually Received Payment!!
Well what aload of hassle that could have been avoided by searching google first. One thing!! LESSON LEARNT!!!
Same as everybody else on here, sent my phone promptly to get the best price, no payment... So I decided to pay them a little visit!!!
Went there on Friday 29th November to get my money as everybody was saying you will get paid if you go there, was greeted by a security guy, he took my details and went in another door and a guy from customer service came out he apologised for the delay for payment, they are APPARENTLY cleaning up the mess from previous owners. I jollied on my way after being promised payment by Monday evening as it was a Friday evening I went there, Well what a load of BO**OCKS!!
Up till this morning still no payment so I decided to go there again, I was greeted by the same security guy who said they have moved address, somewhere in Paddington, London. After I got a bit angry and said I had already been there the week before he took the details from me again and magically the payment was in my account after 10 minutes.
Whilst I was waiting for the payment to go through a gentleman from another building came and spoke to me, he said that on Friday (6th) there was a huge riot outside the front of the building, people putting up signs saying scam, do not trust etc, and the police had been called. So i'm guessing that this is why they have moved.
My advice just don't bother with them, now that they have apparently moved and the security guard who doesn't work for C4P but got my payment to be authorised its just a waste of your own time. Wish I stuck to my first option and sent it to Currys!!
Good Luck People!!
awful service
Well sent my phone to them on the 2/12/13. And it still says they haven't received it even though it was special delivery. No one answers the phone or emails. But I'm willing to take this further until I get my money
No way to contact ..... no payment received
Like many others I sent my two phones to Cash4Phones in good faith. They were sent in mid October and apparently not received until 18th November by which time I had practically given up hope of ever hearing from Cash4Phone. Sadly the letter that comes from Cash4Phones with their "order pack" does not have the barcode relating to the order printed on it. The bar-code is a tearoff strip which has to be sent back with the phones.
It is only when you start to get concerned and try to contact Cash4Phones that you find out the only way to contact them is to use the contact form on their website ... with the bar code being a required entry before you can submit your enquiry.
I did email their sales email address but that was bounced back to me.
My phones apparently passed the engineers testing .... but now I am still waiting for the payment .... my account has shown Payment Pending since 18th November.
Has anyone actually received a payment from these people?
They claim to be a Registered Waste Carrier. Does this mean anything? Is there any Government or other body that regulates these re-cycling sites and if so, has anybody tried making a complaint that route.
If you are thinking of sending your phone to Cash4Phones and haven't done so yet then DON'T!
Cash 4 phones visit
Had a bad experience with these dry lunch pricks. Had payment pending showing on my account for over a month, shows they received my phone! I want to know I anyone has paid these people a visit and if so is there any security? Big lumps? Not one to shy away but police won't do anything so time to take this into my own hands! They've no doubt sold my phone on already so I'll have to retrieve the value of my phone another way! Any help welcomed and should anyone want to join me then reply. Given them the benefit of the doubt with there excuses but time and patience has now run out n I'm livid. Any help or advice welcomed and if any staff from cash 4 phones reading this I suggest the account "Alan Glassfield" is paid up in full or you'll have me on your door! And I will retrieve my goods!
My experience with cash4phones
Update and edited on 26.12.13
Hey Guys hope you all having a good christmas, we are all victims of Cash4phones, got some bad news, im sorry to inform you all that C4p is no longer trading however trading under YEMONIA.. Its legal for company to still operate under new company doing the same thing as mention because of loops holes in the law. company names are classed as legal people meaning the owner does not have to pay you but only the company name its trades in. This means your business is with C4P and not YEMONIA and you will not get paid or have your phone back according to loop holes in legislations
It does not make a difference if you block your phone, your phone is usually taken in the parts and sold on for its material, for instance, the metal, copper etc.
Dont bother going to small claims and waste your money because the company is not trading and has disappeared into space and they ignore court orders. The company net profit is around £44,000 not mllions. They cant afford to pay us 1000s of people and the company im assuming went into adminstration. For those that got offered a reduced amount, be greatful you got paid something because I didnt get my phone back or any money just like many 1000s of people on here ending with nothing.
Cash4phones website is im assuming offline, link dont work no more so i guessing we all have to move on and learn from this internet scam. I track down the CEO home address and he lives in Cyprus and you no what guys, he got a big mansion.
I would also like thank the authorties for doing NOTHING and not pressing charges to the CEO and I believe he should sell all his asset to pay us off, if we have nothing, so should he.
I like to thank Action Fraud for doing nothing, and a special thanks to those advertising companies who insisted they are number 1 recycling company, just thank.
Merry christmas Nearchos Chacholiades, we thank you for making this christmas special, thanks for robbing us and stealing our phones, also thanks for ignoring my FB messages after reading them. Im sure you have bought yourself new Porch with our money
nathaniel_didier@hotmail.co.uk, share your story, I cannot reply on this site bcoz my fb is deactivated, email me, i will make you feel better :D
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
I sent 2 phones to cash4phones in early October. One was in perfect condition the on line site offered £120 and £30 for the other. They sent a message saying the £30 one was fine but the other one has significant cosmetic damage and would only offer £80 for it and to send back would cost £8.95.I contacted them and said I was unhappy, they "reviewed" the phone and offered £100 which I reluctantly accepted. According to them the payment has been agreed and forwarded to the accounts department for payment, this was on the 25th October. Since then I have sent queries on their site every other day and have had only one reply apologising saying they were experiencing problems and I could expect payment very soon. I have not received any money and looking at the number of people complaining on Trust Pilot, I am not sure I will. I have contacted Watchdog and strongly urge others who have been robbed by these con men to do the same. I will also be reporting them to Trading Standards as well as issuing proceedings in the Small Claims Court.
I hate being conned!
I wish I had researched this company more thoroughly before parting with my phone.
I sent them a 2yr old Samsung Galaxy SII in excellent condition for a confirmed value of £103.50. I reinforced their flimsy plastic prepaid envelope and sent them the protected phone via recorded delivery which was delivered and signed for.
That was 2 weeks ago and I have not received any correspondence since.
As previously reviewed, they have no contact number on their website and you can only send a comment by quoting the package barcode number?
I have sent an inquiry to BBC Watchdog.
Is there a Regulator we can ask to investigate this company. Unfortunately unless we can prove 'intent to deceive' then it is purely a Civil Matter.
I have made inquiries with Companies House and they changed their Registered Office on 25/10/13 to Suite 21 5 Spring Street, Paddington, W2 3AQ.
Absolute Disgrace
What an absolute disgrace - they have my phone, don't reply to mails, have no phone number and on top of it all have removed my details from their system.
I shall be going to their office to demand my phone or money AND if that fails small claims court.
AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE.
Daylight Robbery ,do not use this service …and I use service in the loosest possible terms
sent them 3 phones , quote dropped down to a much less agreeable price
had to accept was not worth returning the phones , unfortunately I had also send a good phone after , this was sent recorded , took ages for them to accept they had it finally agreed the cost , still no money after 3 weeks and will not respond
having read plenty of reviews now it seems you have to go legal to get what's owed .
Avoid at all costs! But you can get your money or phone back!!!
As you can see from all the reviews this is a complete scam and con! You will not be sent you money! I wish I had done some research before using!
However, reading some of the reviews I decided to pay Cash4Phones a visit! Using the address on the letters and websites I visited their office. I was determined to get either my phone back or the money!
When I got there the industrial park where they are based is just a load of offices and warehouses, there is no company sign and just a door number ! with lots of flash sport cars outside! no surprise!
I pressed the buzzer and was greeted by a doorman/bouncer who had a clip board, I could see already he had other names on it!! He took my details and got someone from the company. An indian man greeted me and apologised for the mix up. After confirming my bank details I was promised the money would be in my account the next day. I left with some hesitation on whether it would appear. But it was in my account the next morning by 9am! So my advice, if you are local or in London pay them a visit!!!!!
Very bad
I am very disappointed with this company I have yet to reciceve my money for my recycle mobile phone ? I've been phoning and phoning nobody answears the phones so i have decided to take this matter further ? I will never ever use this company again to recycle my mobile phones ???
Cash4phones stole my phone
In August I sent my iphone4 to cash4phones - they offered a lower payment - I couldn't discuss this as there were no contact details - eventually they sent an email saying a cheque would be sent. Never got it. Managed to contact them and was told another would be issued after they check the first wasn't cashed. Still no cheque - they obviously have no intention of paying and have stolen my phone
thieves
sent 3 phones off 5 weeks ago, not a word from them, no phone numbers no texts nothing, if I have heard nothing before 1st December 2013, I intend to go to the POLICE, and see what legal action can be taken to stop this blatant scam.
Con artists leave well alone
Sent off an Xperia T in late September as they quoted £122.02 the best i found. Got an email back stating they found 'Excesive scratching' so can only offer £42. I rejected this offer in early October. I kept chasing they said my issue was passed to accounts who are very busy. I eventually tracked down a phone number which was removed from the web site, twice I waited over 15 minutes and got no answer. Now I find my account on their web site is disabled. My advice take a hit of a few £ and use someone else, do not go near these con artits.
Thieves took phone and not paid out
Quoted me £178 for an Apple iPhone 4S 16GB, sent the phone off in the pack they provided...four weeks later i still have no phone returned, no money for the phone and NOT A SINGLE REPLY from the many emails i have sent them and even sent them a recorded letter as advised by Trading Standards. They never answer their phone numbers, the owners are Cypriot theives who keep changint their name currently they are called C4P Holdingd Ltd and if you check them out they have REQUESTED TO CLOSE THE BUSINESS so dont send them anything!!!!!!
A complete con!
Don't touch these people, they are a complete con. They accepted my Samsung phone, valued it at £39.50 which they confirmed after inspection. Now, 3 weeks later, they do not answer emails and have no phone number to call (in spite of saying 'give us a call' on their letter). I have received no cheque and am now about to contact my local Trading Standards people. What a waste of time and money! I would give them no stars if this were possible!
Avoid at all cost
After recieveng an offer of £45 for my handset I sent it to Cash4Phones. In few days they got back to me saying that there was excessive scraching and they offeret me £16. After long negotiaion they increased the offer, but I was still not satisfied. I asked them to send me a photo, what apparently they couldn't do. Carried on the discussion and they offered me extra £18 (on top of £16) which I accepted. I got my £16 but nothing more. I contacted them on a number of occasions and never heard anything back. I have a copy of our correspondence so I will be contacting trading standards for advice. I wish I read their reviews earlier!
Scum, do not use
The company stated my phone was in bad condition, which is was not. Then upped the money to a more satisfactory amount after I had paid the refund charge of £8.95. They then stated the money will be in my account within 10 days along with a refund or P&P, nothing! I emailed them after 21 days they said there is funding issues and cannot send my phone to me because they have recycled it, meaning they have stolen my phone and not given the money for it. Two months down the line, many emails and no money or response!!!! I have taken legal action rather than going up to their office and seeing how they react for stealing my goods!
Why is this scam rip off company still on mobile phone sale comparison sites???
Sent off my mint condition Samsung Galaxy S2 on 01/11/2013 in the flimsy prepaid envelope I received. I bubble wrapped & packaged the phone so it would not get damaged in transit. Cash4phones quoted £112.05 in vgc which the phone was,it had no marks, scratches & had a screen protector on it from day 1. Also it was kept in a case. Despite numerous times I have e-mailed the company I have not had a single reply asking why they had not offered a payment for it !!!
I am not giving this up & will be doing this poor review on all websites that I can find so that they will be shut down.
Serves me right for not checking trustpilot first!!
Websites now been taken down - been chasing for my money since September - realised quickly I was not going to get my money and now they will restart under another company name - but hey - its legal!!
