Sold my phone to this 'company'. Found them using a comparison site so like most thought it was fine. Sent my phone off, even after they offered me a reduced amount I accepted, was sent an email saying money to be transferred into my account within 10 days at the very latest. 3 months later I still have had no payment from them. They are un contactable. The phone number just keeps you hanging on forever!!
I hope that they can be shut down and prosecuted for this con they are running!!!

So gutted I have been conned. Same story as the rest of you, sent it off - shows as payment pending - website has now vanished. Really gutted. How can we contact them? How can we get our money? Lets stop moaning and DO something. I cant find any info though. I have also reported this to bbc watchdog.

How are you all going about either getting your phones/tablets or money from these scumbags now? I have reported my case to action fraud but are yet to hear anything I assume that the Christmas holidays have something to do with that.

just wanted to get some payback for my missing £172. no need to bore everyone with details sent phone didnt recieve payment same as most. But im a full time carer for my disabled mam live on my own and receive £50 a week for this so when i say these guys have ruined my Christmas you know its the truth. I live in middlesbrough so cannot go after them but if anyone wants to the owners name is Nearchos Chacholiades and owns the company that cash 4 phones is getting changed to called YEMONIA LTD merry christmas and happy hunting :) also he has a facebook profile.

Ive only lost £50 but still gutted. I got my confirmation email last week saying id have my money in ten working days. .. guess theres no chance of that. ..wish I was in london to to round but im not

Sent my HTC ONE X to them on the 25/11/13, got a email saying received and on my account page on their web site they said it had passed its tests and my cheque was on its way, still waiting??
I reported them to actionfraud.police.uk, they now have crimed it and they have passed the info on to a Met Police Officer to investigate
Would suggest everybody do the same, then even if we don't get our money back at least they might be prosecuted.
I live near London, and was going to pay them a visit, but was warned not to as it could compromise the case.

When looking for a price for my Galaxy Note, C4P were offering the best price on a comparison site. So sent my phone off, in bubble wrap via special delivery on 30/11/13. I checked Royal Mail website to see that the phone was received on 2/12/13, but when logging in to C4P my status was showing as "pack sent to customer". I emailed them through the website to ask for an update, they wanted my barcode number, which I did not have so just entered my order reference. Never received any emails from them at any time throughout the whole process. I was getting a little concerned by this. Came home from work on 13/12/13 to see that my phone had passed processing after they said it was received on 12/12/13, strange I thought. Anyway now the status was payment pending. Tried to log in to the account today to find that the website no longer works. I am pretty sure that is the last I will ever see of my phone, and I wont receive my £187 I am sure.
My advice to anyone else, research and check reviews of any company you use. If cash4phones does come up on any comparison site DON'T USE THEM.
I wish there was some way of tracking them down and getting my phone or money back, but I fear there isn't.


Update: I too have reported them to actionfraud. I have also found the print offs that I made, when their website was active, showing that the phone passed inspection and payment is pending.
I also have the original box that the phone came in, with the IMEI number on it. I am going to take all this down to the local police station and see if they can get my phone either traced or blocked, or both.

I too have been conned by this so called company..having used recycle mobile sites before I nievely thought they would all work in the same way! How wrong I was! I posted my phone off 25th December special delivery .eventually on the 6th December they acknowledged the phone and it passed testing on the same day..it has since been payment pending since the 6th December and having read other people stories it appears that there is little hope in me getting this money for Xmas which is what I wanted to help pay my rent and get a couple of presents for my not very well mum. I live in Manchester and I can not afford to travel to London..having read stories of people turning up to the company and actually getting there money I was wondering whether anyone would be prepared to help me get my money.i was promised £172 for my galaxy note 2 and would be willing to give some of this away to someone willing to help..some money is better than nothing!! I feel so used and so upset how are they still trading it's scanderlous! Anyone that can help or advise anyway how I can claim monies promised id luv to hear from :(

I sent my phone off to cash 4 phones 4 weeks ago to enable me to get my 2 little boys and 1 yo daughter xmas presents. status says approved testing pending bank transfer but to date NOTHING, i am panicking now, its nearly xmas and i just dont know what to do,....how can people do this to other innocent people just trying to make some money for their kids!!!! thats £152 i am unable to find elsewhere!!!!

send them a week old phone with the charger handsfree kit and headphones, they then told me that the phone was not up to there quality control (it was a week old and used twice) they offered me a much lower amount for my phone which i refused and asked them to return it. They then returned a different phone (same model but in terrible condition) and no charger, hands free or earphones. I have emailed then 6 times asking them to address this and I have phones them 4 times, and still I have got nowhere fast, so now I have no money a crap phone no charger, earphones or handsfree, I might as well have just thrown the phone and all its equipment out of the window. Its terrible to think a company can trade like this and leave 'customers' in the lurch.

Sent my phone to them in September 2013 and according to the website my payment was processed on the 29th Sept 2013.
I sent them many emails but they only replied twice. One said that I would be paid the money within 10 working days - I did not receive any payment
The other email then said I would be paid no later than the 16th Dec 2013 - Its the 16th December today and surprise surprise no payment! Literally cannot believe this company is still operating and can get away with this!

Such a shock reading that quite a few of you are in the same boat as me...

I sent my phone to them on the 2nd December(stupidly). The phone was delivered to them the next day. I logged onto their website to check the status, and even now its still says "sent pack to customer". I left it for a week to give the process a chance, still nothing - no email or letter. I did receive an email asking me where my phone is and whether i was still sending it... So i replied to that email saying you have it and asking for an update... Still heard nothing...i started to panick, tried searching for contact details, and to relay what you all have said, you're right - its impossible to contact them.

Obviously i am very annoyed and upset and still relying on the money for christmas! i have decided to take it further... I notice some of you are taking to small claims? What are the fees for that? Alternivately my other option is to make a trip down there one day this week - i live in northamptonshire and i have my own car, would anyone be willing to come with me to get their money or device too? (If anyone is in same area or surroundings). i know this sounds a bit too forward, but if anyone is up for the fight we can exhange details or discuss further on facebook? I havent read all of the reviews so not sure if Anyone has already suggested this

Wish i'd listened to my partner in the first place. He told me to check reviews first. we have argued too over it :-(. But, we all can trust sites like this especially this site being on a comparison website!

I sent 2 phones to C4P which they confirmed they received on the 21st October. On the 26th October they sent me an email to confirm that my payment had been processed. Upon not receiving my payment I sent them a letter on the 29th November asking for an explanation and I am still waiting for a response - this is surely unacceptable!?

It's been 4 months and no payment. Now I can not log on to my account and i'm sure they have blocked from logging into the website. They should be stopped as this is illegal trading. Watchdog exposed them on television. Someone needs to prosecute this company. Surprisingly they are still operating and scammimg people. AVOID ON ALL COST!!!

After going to a compare website c4p offered me the best price so thought great can get my daughter some xmas presents as I'm a single mum with no family around and struggling to even put food on the table. I sent my phone of on the 5/11/13 but guess what NO PAYMENT finally after god knows how many attempts to contact them I finally got an email saying payment pending on the 18th but to this day still no money for my Fone. Next step is filling a court paper. If don't hear any thing in the next few days. When . Saw the reviews my heart sunk why do people let them carry on....

If send my galaxy s4 to this company and it’s been a month already. The email on the web site decent work and the number they have no one pick up the phone.

If already sanded a few messages true the form they have available and the only way we can send something to them, so far no reply my status says payment pending for more than 3 weeks.

Never again going to use this company and if do advise not to use this service.

This company should be close and if will take this matter to the police too. And report as everyone should do.

I send my iPhone 4S 16 GB to Cash4Phones. I didn't get any money for my phone. I have send my phone couple of months back.Only way to contact them is their contact page in their website. when I asked them about my phone last month, they replied, there was a technical problem and I will get my money before 22nd November. I have send them another email by using their contact page after Nov 22. I didn't get any reply for that. Their website doesn't allow me to send any more messages to them. They removed the phone number from their website. I got their phone number from one of their email. I called their phone multiple times. no one picks up. I hear hold music for hours. It is 0844 numbers, we have to pay premium rates to hear their music. I don't know how government allow scammers like them do business and steal people's phone by using fake website. I feel really stupid for not reading any of their reviews and send my phone to them.

Well I would like someone from this company to ring my 2 little boys 4 and 6yrs on Christmas day and explain to them why Father Christmas has not been to their house this year! I have very little money and I knew enough was enough I had to sell the only thing I had in the house that was worth the most money that I own. I did not want to see my iphone 4s go as it is the only thing of value that I owned that was mine! I did a bit of research for the best price given and decided to go with this company as they offered me £154 a smile appeared on my face knowing that my little sacrifice would actually give my children something to open on Christmas day and get them a good Christmas dinner! a small price to pay if you ask me to see the excitement on their little faces when thy actually get to open something!
But looking threw this website it looks like my dreams have been well and truly shattered! (sat in tears) the difference is I did have something of value to sell but I now have nothing! Their will be no presents I have nothing left to sell!
But it is all ok though as long as the employees and managers of this company have a lovely Christmas knowing that they have well and truly shafted all of us lovely innocent people! That is the Christmas spirit for you!
