AVOID THIS CAR RENTAL COMPANY. Horrible customer experience. They have fraudulent business practices. Shocked this company continues to operate. We had the rental car for less than 24 hours. We took numerous photos of the entire vehicle when it finally arrived (2 hours late) to show the condition. We also took photos when dropping the vehicle off.

The Carwiz representative said the car looked good and we could leave; however, we asked for written sign-off that the inspection was good. She said the inspection would happen the next day but we requested the inspection while we were there.

The whole experience was horrible and too much happened to outline in a review. Lesson learned. We had several photos of the pre and post condition of the rental showing no damage. Even with the photos showing no damage to the car, we are in an ongoing dispute with the car rental company regarding charges for damage. Frustrating experience. DO NOT USE this company. Learned this is their common practice.

Carwiz Warsaw is a scam. They add on fabricated fees after you return the rental. I even returned it with MORE gas than they gave me from the start and still charged me a refueling cost! Very difficult to get in touch with after you return the vehicle. Will never use again. Stay away.

Collect the car with no problem at Poznan airport. After 8 days, I dropped the car at Szczecin airport, as we booked.

There was no representative from CARWIZ company present at Szczecin airport, and attempts to contact your team via telephone DAYS PRIOR were unsuccessful.

The keys were left at the information desk at Szczecin airport.
It was 21:00, and the person at the information desk advised leaving the key and carpark ticket with them.

My credit card was charged 60 EUR, and after talking to customer service, they said that the car was dropped off 3 days later.

My flight on 13/09/25 from Split to Lublin was rescheduled for more than 12h. I decided to fly from Zadar to Rzeszów on the same day. I had car booked in Lublin. Carwiz office contacted me and asked me what I want to do as the airport was closed due to military operations. I have asked for a car in Rzeszów instead and could it be organised for me as I was under a lot of stress trying to get from Zadar airport to split airport in Croatian I had only 2,5 hours to make the journey as I needed to get back to Poland on the 13/09/25. The company went far beyond what I could expect. Katarzyna, Adrian and Eryk were so supportive and kept me informed. They have organised everything for me and waited in Rzeszów airport with the car. I have got an automatic car in Rzeszów as I requested for Lublin. I have to say the people working for the company are amazing and very helpful. I think that everyone should learn from those young people how to deliver the highest quality of customer care. Thank you very much once again. Highly recommended and appreciated

Scam company (Gdansk airport)avoid no matter how good price of rental is. Cars are prepared with waxing and polishing to hid small scratches and they will appear on the day you do carwash. They will charge you for dirty car even if was washed and valeted. They are not answering emails in thee dispute-they just inform you what you have been billed for. In 15 years of renting cars did not have such a experience and did not trust the negatives reviews here tempted with the rental price. It was mistake. Do not rent from them!!!

The car was fine and the service at the reception was kind.
We had to wash our car, this is strange in our opinion. Specially at 6 in the morning.

At the airport there was no one waiting for me with a sign, as I was informed and according the documents I got. Shuttle was not able to come and pick me up after a phone call (I had to wait 30 min and was recommended to walk there). So I had to walk around 15 min to get there (if you don't have a gps, it is very difficult to get there). The brush ro clean the cristal were not cleaning at all, so that the window stayed quite dirti during my trip. It was obvious that they were not changing the brush nor checking for a good while because it was obvious to notice it.

I used CarWiz at Wrocław airport It was great experience very helpful desk service, polite and informative. Car was not the model and make I ordered online in UK but it was all good. I received my full deposit back within 24h from dropping off the keys. I was a little surprised that there was no checks when car was returned but maybe this is something to consider.

This company is a scam, we hired a car in Szczecin Airport in July 2025 and after a drop off they charged us 400 euros for a chip on the windscreen that was not existing. We challenged Carwiz and they issued and e-mail saying we’ll receive a refund. Still waiting and customer support is not replying to my emails! Please avoid!

Damaged car, made us pay xtra upon pick up because I didn’t have a credit card and just a regular visa debit card. My deposit was never paid back and we have contacted them many times on email, in person and by phone and they keep saying they paid us.

The car was 1.5 hours late, the carseats for the children were missing straps. Do not use these people, they are the worst.

Just another victim of car wiz scams... Charged 600 euro for a 1cm paint scratch... "Need to change the whole frontal of the car".

Do not rent from this company. They are scammers and frauds. Rented a car from Gdansk airport and paid extra to leave at night 01:00 at Grajewo “office”. At Gdansk was adviced to contact Grajewo office about the drop off, An “employee” from Grajewo “office” laughed in Polish and spoke 0 words in English. The “office” in Grajewo turned out to be non existent abandoned building. Calling them is impossible since they do not answer. Had to leave the car at the gas station, take the keys with me and go to Lithuania to home and next day drive for 4-5 hours to hand the keys back. After many phone calls some random people came to pick my car up, wanted to drive away without confirming my contract upholding. I will pursue further legal action and fraud from my country.

I have used carwiz Wroclaw several times, and each time I have experienced good customer service and professionalism.
I have reviewed the company before, as we tend to only write the complaints and not positive notes
This time I was in difficult situation, I had a car for 2 weeks and after I found illness of my close family I needed help in extending hire.
I have to say that Maciej and Oleksander were very understanding and helped me to sort everything out. I do appreciate their help, it made things for me much easy.

Yes the cars are not perfect, dented and bashed- I blame for that people hiring the cars. I always take care of the car as it was my own. But I understand not all doing it.
My little Toyota was just right for my needs.

IT’S A SCAM COMPANY!!! Beware!!!!

I strongly advise everyone to stay away from Carwiz.pl.

When I rented a car from them, everything seemed fine at the beginning. I carefully documented all the existing damages with photos at the time of pickup. I used the car for just four days and did not cause any additional damage.

After returning the vehicle outside of business hours, only two hours later they sent me an email claiming I had caused two new damages. I immediately provided the photos I had taken upon pickup, clearly showing that the damages already existed before I received the car. After reviewing my evidence, they admitted my claim was valid and assured me that my full deposit would be refunded.

However, one week later, I received another letter stating they had “reinvestigated” the case and that I had to pay 1,500 PLN (~400 EUR) for scratches that were already there when I picked up the car. This behavior is completely unacceptable and feels like a scam.

A company that first acknowledges evidence, promises to return the deposit, and then goes back on its word to charge customers anyway is not trustworthy. I will never use Carwiz.pl again, and I strongly recommend others to avoid them as well.

Absolutely to avoid. Was good when at the airport. No shuttle after 45mn waiting and at least one hour waiting to get your car. A scandal a scam a shame. Completely understaffed

Scam alert: DO NOT RENT FROM CARWIZ. We had the worst car rental experience ever with Carwiz in Warsaw (and we have rented in many countries, as well as, in Poland previously with zero problems). Pick up was unpleasant due to difficulty in reaching the agent by phone. We were brought to an off-site sketchy location where we were given a car with scratches, dents and a window chip. We were reassured this was all recorded and we would be provided with a copy of all pre-existing damages. When we needed to drop off the car in Krakow at 4pm, we called the provided # and couldn't reach anyone for an hour. After many attempts at calling various numbers, we reached an agent at another location and arranged for drop off at 7pm, as they said they were busy and needed more notice to meet us at the parking lot downtown Krakow near the bus station (their designated drop off location). The agent took the car to wash and said he'd email us right away with confirmation of pickup and refund of deposit.Instead, we received a new bill for "damages" in the form of a couple scratches which were fabricated by the agency. We had parked the car away from others and had no incidents that would cause any damage. We were charged $1500 and no one replied to my calls and emails when I tried to contact them. Once I delved into the internet, I discovered (too late) that this company has done this many times! They should not be allowed to operated.

I received a car with over 50 scratches and some dents. Upon my return, they apparently found a NEW scratch?! and charged me $271!! I have not caused any damage to the car and presented photos as proof. I believe the customer service is charging just to me just to make up the cost for insurance I didn't subscribe to, so they make up some extra money. I will never rent from this company!

I payed for a rental for pickup at Krakow Głowny location. There was no signage, no pickup parking stall, no office. I could not get a hold of a carwiz agent through the website as I was running half an hour late and could not find the pickup location. When I finally got though to an agent, they had given car away. They would not reimburse me for the payed and reserved car. I was left stranded. Worst service.
Update: October 2025: While Carwiz has promised to reach out to me to resolve the issue, they have not, and in fact continued through arbitration to force me to pay. Please save your money and rent a vehicle from someone else.
