I booked a car, paid in advance, and on the day of arrival Carwiz said they never had a booking in my name. I also never got my money back. I’d give them a zero rating if it were possible.

This place is a scam
This place is a scam. They lower the price of rental vehicles to the point that they cannot make money on those charges. Therefore, they need to find a problem when you're returning a car to be able to Make some money. It is ridiculous Approach to customers. In my situation, they have rented a car for $105 per week. The car was covered with snow when I took it, and I could not take any type of photos of it. Once I returned the car, they found a scratch that was so hard to see. I know I haven’t done the scratch because car was parked in the garage and the scratch was close to the roof. Also, they found after the inspection another scratch on the bumper that could not be even seen it. Anyway, they charged my CC $240 for the alleged damage. I am still going through the insurance of chase to get reimbursement for this scam. Stay the hell away from this business. Most likely they will go out of business, and they will set up another outfit with the same people and a new name. This has been done already at least once.
Further to many negative reviews
Further to many negative reviews, I'd like to add a few words of warning from me. Yes, It's fairly obvious that they are making extra money on alleged "damages" that have already been done to their cars. That can be easily derived, as since they inspect their cars upon return for approx 20 minutes, it's highly doubtful that any damage would avoid their notice. Despite of this, a guy at the rental counter in Krakow, showed me a picture of a quite apparent scratch on the front bumper, claiming it hadn't be there before the rental. This damage was very low down, so chances were that it wasn't on my pictures. But it was there, however another damage - a tiny little scratch on the door bottom plastic panel, was not very apparent on my photo, so the guy charged me 1000zl/£227 for it. A new part like that retails in the UK at £120! And I certainly didn't do that damage. The money was refunded to me by Orchard Insurance, the company I bought my deposit insurance from, but the bad taste remained. My advice - avoid, they are simply not honest. There are many car rentals around and a dollar less is not worth your hassle. But if you still want to use this rental, take as many photos as you can upon pickup. Otherwise they will find a tiny little damage you have missed and charge you! Notice to the rental- I still keep the evidence.
The company is a BIG SCAM, DO NOT RENT
The company seems to be friendly including the staff. Although be very careful and DO NOT rent from them. They are scaming people by sending false damages and charging for the repairs. I took pictures of the entire vehicle still parked at pickup. I took pictures after return. After returning home received an e-mail with damages. Turns out that the "alleged" damages are the same that I have pictures of while picking up the vehicle and the exact same scratch that is almost invisible. I sent them the pictures with metadata date and time stamp and they still charged my credit card. Again DO NOT rent from this company.
Wrong car category
They probably don't know what reservation means - because when I came to get a car, I was said that they don't have the cars for the category I've reserved and paid... Instead of hybrid car I've got regular petrol car, of cheaper brand, and non-working Android Auto on top... And no price match of course... Not recommended.
I had booking on Lublin airport
I had booking on Lublin airport. They have 2 flights arrivals per hour. My flight was delayed. When I arrived at the desk being an hour late I was informed that my booking was automatically cancelled. But they have spare car at parking for me but I have to pay new booking fees 5 times the amount I originally paid. I said no, thank you. And managed to book with another car company similar to my original price.Bit rip off.

i booked a car through the website'carwiz.pl', few weeks later my plans changed (still few days before scheduled pick up), so according to the t&c i could still cancel and get back a full refund,
so i cancled, and passed few weeks already, and no refund!
i called them up, the guy the other side of the phone told me i need to send an email to the main office,so i did so, but no reply from them.
Single female travelling alone. FEELING CONNED⚠️
I'm a single female travelling alone and id pre-booked with full insurance cover via holiday extras.
On arrival I was told that my own credit card didn't match my name because my card only included the initial of my first name. I showed the assistant my Barclaycard app which matched my card number and my full name (and also my name in initials on the statements). This still wasn't accepted and the only way the rental company would release the car was by purchasing their insurance for an extra £55 (as they said the one I'd pre-booked wouldn't be valid). The only method i had available to pay with was the same credit card, which funnily enough they accepted for that payment 🤷
Being late at night I felt I had no other choice than to pay the extra and feel like I've been conned.
I've had the same credit card for over 20 years and used it to hire cars countless times before, never having had a problem with other companies including small independent car hire and also larger well known companies.
I will NEVER use car wizz again and would not recommend it to anyone.

Its quite simple, read the terms and conditions, pay the full insurance if you’re happy and don't give bad reviews if its your own fault for accepting the terms without reading.

£10 rental turned into a £160 damage charge – beware of post-return scams
I rented a car from Carwiz.pl attracted by a seemingly incredible price — £10 for 4 days. Unfortunately, in my experience, this turned out to be a classic bait-and-switch situation, where the real profit is made after the rental.
At pick-up, there was no staff present. After waiting, a man named Erik appeared. From the start, the atmosphere was unpleasant: aggressive pressure to buy extra insurance, additional fees, and a general “pay more or else” attitude — exactly what many negative reviews already describe.
Because I had read those reviews beforehand, I documented the car very carefully at pick-up, taking photos and videos. I did this knowing that customers are often charged for scratches during return.
As expected, at drop-off Erik claimed there were two scratches on the rear door — even though three scratches were already clearly visible at pick-up. He focused entirely on charging for them and ignored everything else. What raised serious concern was that he already had a photo of the same door, allegedly taken after the damage occurred, but refused to properly show or zoom in on it, saying it “needed verification”.
A few days after leaving Poland, I was charged £160 for microscopic, surface-level scratches — not real damage, just cosmetic marks.
At this point, the pattern became clear. No company can realistically make money renting a car for £10 for 4 days, so the profit appears to come later, through post-return damage charges. Exactly as I expected, the “cheap” rental price was only the beginning.
I filed a formal complaint and initiated a chargeback, which is currently in progress.
I am sharing this review to warn other customers. Based on my experience, this rental company — especially at Rzeszów Airport — should be avoided.

CarWizz is 1st class
We booked the car using Expedia, excellent customer service throughout. The lads on collection were pleasant and informative and made it very easy. The car was a Hyundai i30 and clean throughout. We had an additional driver and opted for the full cover. We phoned for the shuttle from outside the Marriott (opposite the airport terminal) it was there within five minutes. The collection/drop-off point is less than a five minute drive from there.
We returned the car late evening (23:40) the day before so telephoned the office. Spoke Amanda Stefańska (lovely lady) she was due to finish her shift but said she would wait for us to arrive and even dropped us to our hotel around the corner.
Overall the prices are unbeatable, my deposit was returned within minutes of dropping the car off and they provide first class service.
Abysmal company who ripped me off
Absolutely terrible company who I will never use again. I booked a vehicle with them and on returning clean, fuelled with no damage, they took money from my credit card for existing damage. I contacted them and exchanged multiple emails showing that the damage was there on my original paperwork, but they ignored this. The only way I got my money back was by raising a dispute through my credit card company who immediately agreed with me and refunded the transaction. I have rented hundreds of cars through work and personally and never has as terrible an experience.
Please avoid this company at all costs as my experience of them was dreadful.

Simple and easy renting
Even that our flight was delayed there was no problem with picking us up from the airport and collecting our car. Returning was also very easy without any hassle. Especially the we wete traveling from Krakow airport to Kościelisko straight after our flight. Without a car we would be stuck at the airpord with a child.
Thank you to the personel that was working at the desk that day 11.01.26 for monitoring our flight and staing in tuch so we were up dated with our car situation. Ania

Absolute nightmare experience,
The process of picking up the car took nearly two hours on Christmas evening; it was an absolute nightmare. The staff's behaviour was unprofessional and scandalous, and their rudeness and arrogance were evident at the highest level. This was not only directed towards myself and my wife, but also towards two other customers who were also waiting for the car. In my 20 years of experience renting cars worldwide, I have never witnessed anyone crying in a car rental place. Car Wiz was the first place. I lack the time to detail how distressing these two hours were; however, I strongly advise you to avoid this company at all costs. The car that was released was in tragic condition, a worn-out Yaris dirty all around. I have asked several times to give me a different car; the only response was, "If you don't like it, walk away."
