Bought our car and paid in full
Bought our car and paid in full, including having window tint installed before collection. After picking up the vehicle, I discovered the tint had bubbles in it. When I reported the issue to Cars24, I was told to contact Tint A Car Bowen Hills, as they had completed the installation.
After following their instructions, I found out that the Bowen Hills location has been closed for quite some time. I referred this information back to Cars24 and, to date, have received no meaningful communication or resolution.
They were more than happy to contact me every day while trying to sell the car, but once a problem arose, the communication stopped. At this point, it looks like I'll be lodging a complaint with the Office of Fair Trading.
Unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing. Based on how this issue has been handled, I won't be dealing with Cars24 again.

Bait and switch at its best
Bait and switch at its best. Unsolicited calls after I advertised my car on CarSales. Made an instant, haggle free, offer, with clear representation that only service history gaps or imperfections may lead to an adjustment. I submitted additional photos, documents and had an online video inspection. They then reduced the offer. When challenged they confirmed no imperfections or service gaps were identified during the inspection. Couldn’t provide any specific reason for the reduced offer, but did sympathise with me saying that they understand my disappointment in not getting what I was hoping for. It’s a pretty clear breach of s.18 Australian Consumer Law.

Cheats! Quoted us for my car, booked an inspection, then made me wait for 30 mins on the call saying they have had some technical issue and then called saying they won’t honor the quote they gave us with the excuse that they have stopped buying our car model. The quote was given to us 1 day back so overnight they stopped buying this car??? Just a cheat - wasting time. Don’t go to them

Their reply to me proves this inconsistency as they never communicated a drop in price just that they aren’t buying model 3 anymore and that was after making me wait on a call for car inspection for 40 mins. If their calls are recorded please review the initial call and the where we provided you the correct info including rego no so the excuse that there was inconsistency is rubbish! Also review calls I make to you the next day and your response! Please don’t run a business on lies when things don’t go your way. Own up to your mistakes

Prior to the inspection, our team had already identified a discrepancy relating to the vehicle build year, and this was communicated while the pricing impact was being reviewed internally.
Following that review, a significant valuation difference was identified based on the updated vehicle details. As the revised assessment outcome differed substantially from the initial estimate, the decision was made not to proceed further with the purchase.

They have refused to return my plates…
They have refused to return my plates so I can claim a refund on the registration. After daily messages for a week and phone calls, still nothing. It seems they have now registered my vehicle in their own names, claiming the reminding of the years registration. Not happy at all….
Poor communication Their telephone constantly crackles so you can’t hear them, as if they were overseas. Very disappointed. I’ve stopped trying to get my refund with vic roads as this whole process has been exhausting.

The registration refund process and plate handling requirements were discussed during the inspection and handover stage. Customers wishing to retain their plates for registration cancellation or refund purposes are required to remove and keep the plates prior to vehicle handover.
In this instance, the vehicle was handed over with the plates attached and the acquisition process was completed accordingly. Once the vehicle acquisition is finalised, returning plates is not operationally feasible.
