Terrible customer support
Can't connect to the domain. It always worked and not it is not working.
This company shows a terrible lack of responsiveness and care. Additionally , when you finally got the answer, it is frequent that it's not really replying to your request efficiently.
Please note that this website builder is neither user friendly, practical, or effective.
I built an entire website and had it ready to connect to my domain. Now, the website has vanished, and Cargo refuses to take responsibility or provide any explanation. They keep repeating the same question like a robot: "I need the link to your Cargo site." Well, I couldn’t link the website because you deleted it. This is one of the most untrustworthy companies I’ve encountered recently.
I've had a Cargo subscription for 10+ years. You would think that all the money I've given this company would motivate their team to treat me halfway decently but that seems to be entirely too much of an ask. Every time I contact support (maybe 2-3 times per year), I'm treated with blatant indifference and as little more than a nuisance. The least you can do is attempt to care.
Customer service is fascinatingly bad.
I have reached out on different issues through several accounts, and every time I am just referred to their Help-section, without anyone answering my actual questions. Have ended up solving these issues with ChatGPT. Either they are using poor bots in their customer service, or they are using people with extremely low work ethics, who should be replaced by bots.
You get lured in by the truly amazing template design only to realise that you've been tricked into using the worst web builder ever created. No mobile functionality and crashes every five seconds. Cargo 2 was at least usable, Cargo 3 feels like a labyrinth of despair.
unfortunately, cargo support is a tragedy.
the support claims you have to use the cargo nameserver.
The cargo nameserver (08-2024) still do not support IPv6 records!!! but we have to use these nameserver???
cargo 2 also works with external nameservers.
your support should be better trained.
The fact that IPv6 does not work is not acceptable if you force your customers to use your nameservers.
I have not received any feedback for more than 4 days in which I pointed out the IPv6 problem.
Not all it's cracked up to be. For a 'web design' platform, it has literally ZERO mobile CMS system. You can't even pay a bill on your phone, you have to be on desktop. Was recently away for a month very remote, with only a phone, and had my monthly charge not go through, so my website was made private. Not only could I not pay it on my phone, but my website stayed private for 2 weeks. I contacted support, and they said there was nothing they can do about it. What a joke, it's 2024 and I can't even pay them the money I owe them unless I'm on a desktop. Beyond that the UI is completely unintuitive. It makes no sense, even making a new page is confusing. If it wasn't for their nice layouts and templates, it would be completely useless. I have my other website on Squarespace for basically the same price and it has an app that functions perfectly on my phone. I will be leaving Cargo shortly, and never using it again.
Terrible support. User unfriendly. No proper tutorials or help. Cannot use custom code. Bugs and crashes happen all the time.
Difficult platform.
I have been using Cargo 1 for many years and paid a monthly fee. Two years ago I have upgraded to Cargo 2 and have been since billed for both Cargo 1 and 2, which were all essentially linked to one website that I have with them. Upon noticing that and asking for a refund, they had offered a very poor customer service, noting no fault of their own as well as refusing to issue a refund for that obvious error and lack of transparency on their part.
There are plenty of other website builders platforms that would own something like that. Very disappointed and carefully scanning all my payments from now on.
I was having issues logging in, and the reset password button wasn't working, and no one was getting back to my emails for about a week, however it turns out that they were and it was just hotmail blocking the emails for some crazy reason, whilst letting the newsletters through. I contacted Cargo via twitter about this issue and they helped me out immediately. Its a good website platform, and i appreciate the help.
Using Cargo for 2 years and Cargo2 one year. I always appreciated the options and enjoy the comfort of Cargo2. However, I chose the transition to Cargo2 solely because they promoted the easy shop-plug in. With a webstore in mind I made the extra payment for the upgrade to Cargo2, to than find out that Cargo Collective DOES NOT support IDEAL. A payment-option which dominates in my country. I have now a website which is too expensive for what it has to offer, since I can't make use of the webstore-plug in.. They should have communicated this better upfront. Now I have a cool website but the main reason I chose for them doesn't work for me so that is very disappointing.
