This company has gone downhill and is a…
This company has gone downhill and is a nightmare to use. I don't see how anyone would continue to be a customer and use this messy, sloppy software that is overly complicated for no reason. It was wonderful and I have been a customer for many years. When they changed the entire platform and layout last year they destroyed the best of frame.io. Every time I use it, there is a problem. They show your clients metadata and say there is nothing they can do. Imagine uploading your work and your client gets to see all the times and dates you are working. It's a violation of my privacy. When I sort photos or videos in one folder and say I want them in alphabetical order. Then change another folder to a numerical order, it changes all my folders. So they say you can customize each folder but that is a lie.
If you think you have any control over what your client sees, you would be wrong. They have made this program bloated, messy, sloppy and overly complicated and overly technical for zero reason. All their new features and additions are cumbersome glitches that are impossible to work with. I'm walking away from this disaster after being a happy client for years.
Their customer service is untrained and robotic and wrong. They've wasted hours of my life to only in the end say fill out 'suggest a feature'. At this point I am cutting my losses and finding a new company that is professional and who follows my requests, not the other way around.
I'd never even heard of this company…
I'd never even heard of this company and received an email saying my 1 month trial had ended and I was to update my payment details. They are a scam. I've emailed them and permanently unsubscribed.
The user face is terrible
The user face is terrible, there is so much information, yet so little. It is impossible to see the details of the films and to move across project. Each project having a different colour icon is so aesthetically unpleasing.
I feel validated that everyone else feels the same.
Hugely Disappointed
Interface nice on first glance. Functionality is absolute trash and so is the support team. Sending me canned responses when I'm literally describing the issue in acute detail then transferring me to 3 different people who do the same thing.
Adobe are beyond incompetent
Incompetence doesn't even begin to describe how useless Adobe are. The app bugged me for ages to "upgrade" my account, and said it would be forced on me. "Upgraded" it, only to find that it no loner works with After Effects - in Adobe's own forums the devs even seem surprised by this. It's PATHETIC. How are the various teams at Adobe more like warring factions that one company? Genuinely people who make decisions at Adobe need to be swiftly moved on, because they CANNOT do their jobs properly.
Not transparent with prices
As a professional photographer, I was seeking an alternative to WeTransfer and came across Frame.io. Initially, the platform appeared promising, and I enjoyed using the free trial version. However, after transitioning to the "Team" plan, I experienced multiple billing issues. I was charged $25 twice on the same day, followed by an additional $24 the next day. Furthermore, I was unexpectedly billed $13 when I added a team member, which I believed should have been included in the plan. This billing experience has been disappointing and raises concerns about transparency and billing practices.
Automatically charged me $138 dollars…
Automatically charged me $138 dollars for adding an additional user to my account when it said I had 9 additional seats. When I sent the invite, it gave no indication or warning that it would cost me anything extra until I received an e-mail 5 minutes later notifying me I had been charged. I am outraged by this and will be disputing the charge with my credit company if it is not refunded promptly.
Overcharging & Slow Download Speed
They charged me unknowingly for thousands of dollars a year for their basic underwhelming buggy software.
On top of that, their download speed is TERRIBLE, especially in South East Asia.
There's definitely better alternatives out there.
Deceitful pricing
I subscribed to the $15 a month team package for 5 team members and wanted to paid annually. I was charged $900. The company state the package allows for 5 people and without asking for approval or permission, charges the card for each of of those individually. Fraud.
Scammer company
Scammer company. I signed up for the paid version which was supposed to be $15. I instantly get a receipt och $30 and then I get charged a total of $65.
When contacting support they refuse to give me my money back and say I am not eligible for a refund and refuse to solve the situation.
V4 sucks
The upgrade from V3 to V4 is a disaster. Everything that made V3 great is removed in V4 and the way they practically force you to upgrade in their Premiere Pro integration is just infuriating. Timeline markers can't be uploaded to comments anymore and support is slow to respond, which makes them basically non-existent. I don't know if this is Adobe's or Frame.io's fault, but it's a trainwreck now
I've been having trouble logging in for…
I've been having trouble logging in for two years and it's never been resolved. Customer service is awful. Different people keep jumping in and asking me to do the same things over and over, which don’t help. It's been a complete waste of money and time. I can’t believe Adobe allows this dreadful company to keep operating like this, treating paying customers so poorly.
Frame.io became unreliable
Frame.io became unreliable. Customer service also became on of the worst.
The worst customer service I've ever…
The worst customer service I've ever encountered. Trying to adjust over billing on two statements. I call every day without reconciliation. They promise to call back. I've never received a call. How the heck do I talk to accounting Frame?? 1 week of this so far!
They do not let you delete your…
They do not let you delete your account. There is NO option whatsoever to close and end your account. This is a complete scam and infuriating.
Adobe made this amazing tool shit
Adobe made this amazing tool shit
We were using this as an amazing tool for video editing and getting feedback from clients, after adobe bought it, it doesn't work properly, it needs to be injected as new "plugin", everything got so much more complicated, and now its unusable, and even doesn't work in Davinci Resolve. THANK YOU, GOOD JOB
FrameIO used to be amazing until Adobe…
FrameIO used to be amazing until Adobe got its hands on it. Now the free version you get with your Adobe subscription is practically useless. I wish I could revert to V3 which worked beautifully. Going to have to go back to Vimeo or WeTransfer now.
An absolute scam
An absolute scam! I upgraded to the Pro subscription that clearly said that it includes 5 users. But guess what - that's a lie!! I got charged an additional $15 for the used that I invited to Frame. You are a disgrace and you are actively lying on your website!
Don't sign up for a Pro account to add additional Team Members - you will be charged the same amount per member
Signed up for a paid Pro account, which says in multiples places includes 5 team members. After paying the subscription cost, it becomes clear that any team members you try to add incur an additional $15 cost, per person. This information feels deliberately hidden from the pricing pages. Even the Free version includes two team members at no cost. Deliberately misleading information on the Plan / Pricing page. I feel scammed.
Scammed me again
This site was the first result for my search. The description does not match the reality. The description said it will generate AI clips from my long form content, pasted my content and it just gave me the option to upload a waterfall to their site… terrible scam company once again just details harvesting. Not giving me anything it offered originally
