Capita and Civil Service Pensions took over administration on…

Capita took over administration on Cicil Service Pensions in December 2025, the service, or lack of, since has been disgraceful. They ignore emails, ignore complants and don't process for pension quotes in time for people due to retire. I partially retired, it took them over 4 months to give my lump sum and to date i still haven't received a pension payment. They don't even deserve one star
Disgraceful company.

If I could I've rate you minus a million that would still not cover how bad you are. I was apparently expedited to senior management under urgency. 5 WEEKS ago! 5 months with nothing! No replies to emails, zero on the portal. Diabolical company.

Cannot give zero

Cannot give zero, which is exactly how much of the pensions and lump sums or pension quotes they've provided for civil servants. some have been retired for months with no income and absolutely zero communication

Utterly shambolic

Capita took over the civil service pensions adminstration in Dec 2025. They are utterly incompetent. If you want a totally shambolic company then capita are the right people. Thousands of civil service pensioners left without pensions. Beware using ANY services linked to Capita. 1 star review is only because I cant score any lower

If I could give minus stars I would

If I could give minus stars I would. Capita are without doubt the most incompetent, useless company I have ever come across. Moreover, they could not care less about the suffering, mentally and financially that they are putting thousands of people through, in not paying both their lump sum pensions and monthly pension payments. People owed thousands in pension payments continuously fobbed off on the phone with excuses after excuses. People ill and on the verge of losing homes, people wondering where they’ll get money from to just live day to day. The CEO and his ilk need to be legally held to account. This is nothing short of a massive breach of contract.

Capita is entirely incompetent

Capita is entirely incompetent: Their Pensions portal is useless. The call handlers seem overwhelmed with no ability at all to liaise with "back office".
Capita should be dissolved and pay back for all the damage they caused.

No Stars!

If I could award a minus star I would.
Capita are supposed to be administering the Civil Service Pension Scheme
Thousands of retirees are without any income due to Capita's incompetence who are unable to deal efficiently with funds due to those who have worked for many years as civil servants. I have claimed a spouses pension based on my husband's service in the Ministry of Defence. He died in January and I am still waiting for some action to get this in place. CAPITA ARE USELESS AND HOPELESS. 😒

Complete incompetence in their failings…

Complete incompetence in their failings to thousands of civil servants not being paid their pensions, backlogs, missing deadlines, failing to communicate! Many having to turn to loans having not being paid for months and no updates provided. Avoid this company.

Capita is like the Bermuda Triangle

One star for this incompetent company is one star too many.
They claim to have expertise in IT and professionalism. Nothing could be further from the truth.
They are tasked with administering Civil Service Pensions. Tens of thousands of civil servants are without any money. All down to Capita’s incompetence.
They cannot be trusted to keep data secure sharing other people’s information with others.
AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.

Incompetent “Crapita” the company is…

Incompetent “Crapita” the company is failing many civil servants who have worked all their adult lives. Pension payments are being delayed or not made at all. Management information & statistics are manipulated to suggest deadlines have been met. FOI requests or MP enquiries are not addressed in a timely manner. IT is inadequate. Data breaches have occurred. An absolute failure in service delivery

Incompetence

Hello, does anyone reading this have any contact details for a (very) senior person at Capita pensions?
I won't detail the utter incompetence of the pensions help line number. Or who else these types of issues should be raised with please as these people are mucking around with my future.

C(r)apita has taken over mismanagement of civil service pensions

Been trying to access my civil service for 2 .5 years. The provider refuses to communicate with me or my MP.
I wasn't even aware they'd appointed c(r)apita to take over the mismanagement of civil service pensions. You'd think they'd inform us? I don't even know how to contact them.

There needs to be a parliamentary enquiry into this debacle.

Complete and utter incompetence

Complete and utter incompetence. Almost 1 year to be assessed for ergonomic equipment due to issues with incorrect assessment and then constant IT issues. I have never dealt with such incompetence from a company.

ZERO STARS

Zero stars would be my rating for this company if it were possible. I am a retired civil servant coming up to 3 years now. My pension payments which, prior to this company taking over were without problems, suddenly stopped at the end of December 2025. When I accessed the portal it showed "payslips" being generated for December 2025 and January 2026 despite the fact no money is being sent to me. Having contacted them, I was informed that they have reviewed my record and can advise my case is being progressed but ... "are unfortunately unable to provide a specific timescale ... at the moment".

So pension payments are being withheld not only from new retirees but those who have already been retired without any suitable explanation whatsoever.

Their website login doesn't work at all in Brave browser, and in other browsers there's no way to retrieve login information. Contacting them by email produces a stupid response that does nothing to resolve the problem. They seem to be deliberately bad. Are they just trying to steal people's money? That seems to be their aim.

If I could give 0 ZERO stars I would…

If I could give 0 ZERO stars I would…. Clearly not ready to take over the administration of the Civil Service Pension fund. I basic information I had already sent to the previous administrator and which showed up on their website was lost e.g. according to Capita I’m still married although I’ve been divorced 10+ years now.. more importantly all the information submitted on line in Sept-25 in time for my forthcoming retirement on Monday 9th Feb, application for pension etc. has been lost. After well over an hour on the phone I was told to resend it all in hard copy, done on 16-Dec-25, still no acknowledgement of receipt even after I called again and sent it all via email. I was relying on receiving my tax free lump sum on Monday, fat chance. Useless, Capita clearly didn’t understand the magnitude of what they wear taking on and even allowing for a bigger backlog of upcoming retirees than they were led to believe, loss of information already in systems is unacceptable.

They have your pension money and good luck to anyone trying to transfer it out, the most petty and pedantic company I have ever come across, even my financial advisor is pulling his hair out over their antics. Give yourself at least 6 months of paperwork being sent backwards and forwards before you want your pension. Avoid.

Zero Stars For Abysmal Capita/CSP 'Service'

To 'award' the Capita administered Civil Service Pension Scheme even a single star is too much. I have spent 2 days solid attempting to speak to a human owing the urgency of my position. On the phone lines you are cut off at the 2 hour mark rather than being allowed to progress to an operator regardless of queue position which is unacceptable. Perhaps Capita/CSP do not want to speak to anyone? The portal which did not migrate any of my information from the previous provider, MyCSP, asked me to repopulate all of my contacts information and set up a new account. This is a cheaper way of populating the new portal rather than doing it on behalf of users. The portal also did not retain any evidence of previous communication regarding my pension which is unacceptable. Unfortunately when I sent my pension application to MyCSP in July 2025 to Liverpool, I was unaware of the impending transfer of this 'service' to Capita on December 1st 2025 and have not been paid either my lump sum or my first pension payment on my birthday (Jan 11th 2026) when I turned 60 as per protocol. I am now worried that Capita/CSP have lost my application. I am no longer working, so this now has become pressing and I do not expect a timely response or fast tracked application any time soon. I am absolutely disgusted by this terrible service and question why the provision was changed and what is being done to turn it around.
