Still no deposit back, bad customer service
I've been back from my holiday for over a month now and still don't have my deposit (500 EUR) back. When I contact customer service, I get the same e-mail back everytime: there has been an issue with their payment system and I will get my money back within 5 working days. Camptoo shows absolutely zero initiative in communicating to their customers about this and that is what disappoints me the most.

I’ve been with Camptoo for two years now and I’ve not had any issues until recently. Our motor home was returned over ten days ago and still no payment! They never answer calls or emails. It has all the markings of a company about to go under. Dreadful customer service.I’ll be going elsewhere soon as I get paid!!

I've hired my motorhomes with Camptoo…
I've hired my motorhomes with Camptoo since 2019. At first the process was simple with fast payments 5 stars from me! Over the past 12 months the decline in this company takes some believing, After a hire it's now become standard practice to have to chase Camptoo for payment, I'm normally given the excuse it's due to a recently upgraded payment system problem. The last hire has been and gone and thankfully this will be my last one with Camptoo but unfortunately I had some damage on the last hire which guess what? Yes I'm back chasing them for payment for the damage!
In short.
I'd look elsewhere with some of the other hire platforms.

As a renter not happy with camptoo i have spoken to them on several occasions and the problem as still been sorted. Not going into details on here but thinking of going elsewhere.
Really shocking customer service
Really shocking customer service. Inadequate information provided in rental terms, conflicting information and advice given by customer service and poor communication. I even had to contact Trading Stanards about Camptoo.
Amazing customer service
Amazing customer service! Everyone I have spoken to has been a huge help and always present and reassuring. The booking and hire process is always smooth and easy to progress threw.
Great and no problems
We have hired out our caravan 5 times during the summer with no problems.
The site is a bit hard to navigate through and not easy to change settings etc. but other than that we have no complaints. We have had great contact with the person in charge in Denmark who guided and helped us through complications on the website.
Great site highly recommended.
Good website and a reliable company.
Have used Camptoo a few times now. Very easy to find the van you want and where you want to pick it up from. You can be let down by hirers sometimes but Camptoo will ensure you are not out of pocket if this happens.

I made a booking through this company (big mistake) for a motorhome for 7 nights. I paid in full £1,400 for the booking in compliance with all the T&Cs. After making the booking I received a message from the owner saying:
"He has had damage from a previous booking and that his wife is nervous about renting the motorhome and the only way they will rent it is if I meet his (not Camptoo's) standards?
At this point we had booked time off work and have friends coming over from abroad for our planned holiday also the pickup location is an 1.5 hr round trip for my son. I did not want the holiday to be ruined should the owner decide not to rent the motorhome on the day of pickup as he made clear he could.
I asked Camptto to confirm the owner was happy to rent out the Vehicle I was told they would call the owner and get back to me. THEY DIDN'T GIVE ANY RESPONSE AND CLAIMED AFTER I CANCELLED THEY COULD NOT GET HOLD OF THE OWNER.
I received a message from the owners wife saying I should ignore the previous message but they were not on the same page about renting and it was clear that the owner could cancel on the day....
We were forced to cancel the booking and make other arrangements. I explained everything to Camptoo and provided evidence, they still decided to apply £350 in fees.
I would not trust this company Campto with any of your money.
From my experience this was a complete SCAM.

2 weeks of the holiday.
4 weeks of stress to try to gain back my deposit!!!
I was charged for causing damage to the water pipe which was caused by the heating system from the caravan.
All attempts to try to explain to Camptoo that damage something that you don't have access to end up in failure.
In the end, I was charged for it.
Even My excess cover has more common sense refusing me to pay out, saying it was ware and tare.
Camptoo also removed my review from their site about the owner of the campervan.
My review was honest and polite but it wasn't in the interest of Camptoo and the owner special before the summer holidays
