This is rubbish. Descriptions aren't of the actual places named or in the pictures lol. Get local guides maybe???

Picked up the campervan and the owner was in a rush hurriedly giving us a tour. Only after he had left did we realise the van was dirty with old food stuffed in places and grime everywhere. Didn't even use the bathroom/ shower though opting to use the ones at the campsite because we didn't want to clean someone else's s**t. Made the best of it so as not to spoil the holiday. Then I returning the van given a massive bill because we had 'broke' the shower and scratched the van Had no proof otherwise and so had to stump up the costs. Scam.

We have had the official notification that Camptoo UK (along with the other branches) has also gone into liquidation

Who is dealing with this companies bankruptcy? I want to get My £1000 deposit back.

Don’t touch with a barge pole, they are still taking bookings in UK and people are losing their money. I am a renter and they have fiddled me out almost £800

Camptoo Australia seems to be going bust. They have taken payments from our hirers but have not paid us for the last two hires.
Our Christmas hires are in a mess as they've all made deposits or in some cases paid the whole amount and have completely ghosted us. I've left tens of messages and emails with no response.

Avoid this company at all costs !! We have had the same experience as other renters and have not been paid for our last booking , our customers had a struggle to get their security deposit back too . We have e- mailed them numerous times with no luck and now there is no phone number to contact them on either! Camp too Rip Off!!!!

Looks like Camptoo UK are going under, as their Netherlands area already has.

I have not been paid for the previous booking weeks ago, they ignore emails, and their tel number now says 'number not found goodbye.

Don't book or list a van with this company, or odds are you will join the list of folk who are losing their money.

That they keep their website open taking in more money is pretty much a scandal.

something has gone wrong with Australian camptoo sounds like its in the same boat as the other company's across , no phone calls no email replies ? I'm very worried about my van that's currently out and if I'm gonna get paid for the latest hire

Sadly it would seem that Camptoo has collapsed, however their website and booking systems remain active.

A shame as we’ve had a great year renting our motorhome out through the platform, and have met some lovely people doing so (and Camptoo were previously fantastic). However, we are yet to be paid for our most recent rental and I am not holding out hope that we will be.

We’ve removed our listing and I’d recommend that people don’t send Camptoo any money as I doubt you’ll see it again.

Avoid like the plague!! I have had 3 rental experiences with Camptoo hiring out my camper. Each time there was a delay in my payment. Often paid after the van had been dropped off and myself having to chase the payment! On the final rental of my camper it was damaged. The rentee had paid a £750 deposit. The damage took place 24th September 2022. The repair work has been completed for maybe 4 or 5 weeks. I have submitted all documents as requested by Camptoo and yet I am still waiting for my money after being told it would be paid. They have ignored emails after I have again chased where my money is. DO NOT use this company

Paid just over £1200 for a campervan to go on holiday in and was trying to pay deposit and wasn’t allowing me to make payment and wasn’t answering emails or messages and phone is switched off I have to book one on another site and now trying to do a payment reversal through my bank! They owe me £1200 do not book with these!!!

Was going well until about a month ago when payments suddenly stopped coming on time. I’ve had to chase every payment since and the most recent one (fortunately only £40) still hasn’t come despite multiple attempts to chase. Camptoo no longer appears to be answering the phone or email, either. Agree with other saying they look like they’re in trouble. I’ve taken my advert down and I wouldn’t trust Camptoo with your money at this time.

Every payment from this company is late. Still waiting on £750, no response to emails or messages. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO LIST YOU CAMPER!

Camptoo Danmark worst Company i ever dealed with !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Camptoo in the Netherlands recently went bankrupt and is out of business. Our deposit of €1,000 should have been paid back on 27 september, but was not returned.

THIS COMPANY HAS GONE BANKRUPT.

Money owed to owners will not be paid.
Deposits from hirers will not be refunded.

As owners advertising on this platform we have been left significantly out of pocket!

Awful company - had issues with a renter who caused over £1000 in damages. Camptoo said we had to pay this and they would reimburse - all fine until it came to them reimbursing us for the damage which we are still waiting for. Had a few late payments and everything is poorly done. Feels like they are going bust!
