STAY AWAY

STAY AWAY, they are as transparent as muddy water, staff take forever to respond and blame a high number of issues to deal with, the only ones high are the staff, and complaints, they are fast to take money but dont want to pass it on. Not a company I'll ever support again and I'll be notifying the people who recommended them about the issues I've had. They can respond as fast as they want here, I'll take my time replying to them again. 1 star is even generous. I think it's about time we can give 0 stars for companies who dont do anything to sort issues out

Amazing technical support... and not AI :)

I sent an email to BMAC support because I believed they had seriously screwed up my account... It turned out the problem was actually at the website of the creator. BMAC support wrote a long and detailed email back showing me they were not involved in the problem, including a great deal of information explaining what I needed to look for to get the problem fixed... all done by a real person... no AI. :)

It's great if you are new.

It's perfect if you are earning under $1,000 a month. It has some issues once you grow and have a large customer base.

The platform has fundamental short comings that will cause whales to frieghten away mid teir and new customers.

Also, it's monthly subscribers model is rendered pointless with a "make this monthly" checkbox that allows customers to become members at any price they choose.

Their refund policy used to be quite smooth but I had issues with a 2 step verification process last time I tried.

That being said. They can be trusted to handle transactions legitimately and correctly. They have a better reputation than Kofi . They take half the money that Patreon takes from you 5% not 10%.

However. As stated above. If you are a large entity with whales. That extra 5% is better spent on Patreon. Where you can hide large donation amounts so as not to scare away someone wanting to give you 5 bucks.

I would give it 0 stars. I filed with them and got stripe and have stripe now on my own anyway as they confirmed who I was. Waited a month and they finally denied me over insuficient information. They had my website and could see what I post. It's the gospel of Jesus Christ. Guess they don't like it. They said I violated their terms of service and wouldn't release the money but I could appeal. I told them to refund my supporter and I will just setup my own through stripe or PayPal which I have been doing business through wince it started. I would stay far away from them. You email them and they take weeks to respond if ever. They play games with your money and it's all to hold your money and hope when they deny you they can keep it. If I find out I was denied for religious beliefs then the FTC and my state attorney will be contacted. And yes they have emails so when they comment below to send them an email. they have two sitting int heir in box. one from over the weekend and two today. They are only commenting to make you think they tried to help. Horrible experience. They claim they are vetting but didn't ask for photo id which I gave to stripe. Stay away!!!!

Quick way to get them to check their email and do something. Post your post here and they will see it fast. They refunded the woman. Now I need them to delete my account cause they locked it so I can’t even delete it now instead of asking for more to review. I’m done with their company. Terrible. Thankful they refunded the lady. Told me it would take another few days to do it. Then the same person refunded it that hour. Thankful they refunded the supporter the money. I would stay away from them unless you like spending your time trying to get your money. Think if you had a sale? Or many sales in one day and your money held till you proved their hoops? After stripe approved you and your own bank with ID. They hold your money and tell you they can’t do anything and you can’t get ahold of anyone till you post on a review site. They have been contacted.

They provide a convenient mechanism for online payments that has option to use Stripe (money goes straight to my bank account). Site is secure and I've been quite satisfied with my interactions with customer service and very pleasant staff to deal with.

I have been charged £59.99 from this…

I have been charged £59.99 from this company, which I know nothing about. I contacted them and they asked for screenshot of the amount on my account, last 4 numbers on my card etc. I provided that info and have heard nothing since, despite sending a further 3 emails. Im a 72yr old woman, what I would want with this I don't know but until I get this sorted, my bank account has been frozen and I can't access my money.

Up to the point of now I just have an account with buy me a cup of coffee I've signed in and I don't believe buy me a cup of coffee has done anything at all to help me figure out what I need to be doing to help myself it's just there right now I just have an account with and I don't see it it doesn't do ads for me it doesn't do anything that's the truth

Privacy and Credit Info

Monthly the site tries to bill me for a "subscription" and states my card number is not valid (providing a last 4 of a card I have). I have no subscriptions and nowhere in my profile is there a saved payment. I contacted their customer service with a screenshot of my account, subscription and the e-mail and their response was to show them my credit card statement, give them the card type and last 4 to investigate a charge. Not only is that completley not the problem I described but they want that info? That doesn't seem right. I have contacted them about it asking what subscription they are trying to bill me for and how they have my CC info (and where it's stored). Not a response in over two weeks and four e-mails.

I’m experiencing an issue with my payout


I recently had an issue with my payout on BMC. Previously, my payouts used to process every Wednesday without any problem. After the recent update, the payout on my Coffee page started showing **“Scheduled”** and even after waiting the 2 days mentioned, the payout wasn’t being processed.

I contacted the support team and they helped resolve the issue, which I appreciate. Thank you to the team for looking into it and fixing the problem.

However, I just want to confirm one thing: will my payouts now be processed automatically every 2 days as shown on the scheduled status, or will I need to email support each time for the payout to be released? If possible, I would also prefer if my payout schedule could be set back to the previous system where it was processed every Wednesday.

Just to clarify, there’s no need to wait until Wednesday for payouts to be processed. Once a payout shows as “Scheduled”, it should automatically be processed after the indicated waiting period. You also don’t need to email support each time—payouts will be released automatically once they’re ready.

Update

Update: After I posted this review, the co-founder of Buy Me a Coffee reached out to me directly. He explained that my account had been flagged for a routine verification check when the page was first created. Unfortunately, the review process stalled after I submitted the requested information.

Once the issue came to their attention, the payout was approved and the funds were released. I received my payment this morning along with an additional apology from their team.

I appreciate them resolving the issue and taking responsibility for the delay. Hopefully this experience helps improve their follow-through on verification reviews so other creators don’t run into the same problem.
