i believe you practice deceptive policies the pictures of the heavy scratches did not match up with mine, so you do this to low ball the prices as previous feedback have stated i posted a notice on the bulletin board on fort Benning military base to avoid using buyback boss as they use altered features to rip you off.....

I definitely understand your concern and I'm sorry that we upset you. To begin, we would not try to deceive our customers by providing information that was not true. I understand that you graded your device as flawless condition and took great care of your device. Our team looks at hundreds of devices each week and I think that sometimes makes our team particularly keen to notice scratching or wear that a previous user may become accustom to. If your device is otherwise fully functional, there is really no reason to critically examine the device for signs of wear that a future customer would be looking for because it would be a "new" device to their use.
As I explained in my most recent email to you, I can definitely agree that your device was well cared for while in your possession, and likely spent most of its time in a case for protection. The scratching found on the back of your device is caused, typically, by a device rubbing against a case over time. My own device has the same wear on the back of the device. Additionally, the scratching on the screen is why we graded your device into Fair condition instead of Flawless condition, but is also caused by normal use with phone calls and removing a device from a pocket or bag over time. Our photos are taken under normal office lighting, but up close, to be very clear about the wear we found.
I am again very sorry that we did not earn your trust or respect with this transaction thus far. Earning your business and providing an excellent experience is my top priority. With this in mind, I was happy to send your payment your way and would love to keep collaborating on your order if you have any additional questions or concerns.

Problem Solved
Update: a manager contacted me and proposed to take the device back at the originally offered price. I’m satisfied after the back and forth, as Buyback Boss takes responsibility for my case.
Original comments: My iPad Pro was in excellent condition—perfect exterior, fully functional, and protected by a nice leather case. I decided to sell it only because I upgraded to a newer model.
After Buyback Boss received my iPad Pro, they claimed that the battery health was only 77% and slashed their offer to significantly lower as only $12. When I declined and asked for my device back, they kept increasing their offer—first a bit, then up to $44—but by then I no longer wanted to have the deal with them; I would rather have kept the device as a digital photo frame.
When my iPad was finally returned, I was shocked to find a burn mark on the display, a type of permanent screen damage that definitely wasn’t there before. I’m glad that I kept Buyback Boss’s original inspection report as it clearly shows that it had no burn mark. Besides the screen burn issue, my leather cover case was missing.

Sent two iPhones phones in that were in nearly new condition, always kept in a case with a screen protector and the lowered their offer from $700 total to $400 (nearly half) due to non existent scratches. Complete scam, don't waste your time.

Its a scam. They offered me $300 in October ‘25 for my iphone 14 plus. When they received it they rated it “fair” and stated it had “heavy” scratching and “heavy” wear and offered $139 minus $1 for “insurance” after I had already paid $3 for “shipping protection” the phone was flawless.
