worst customer service experiences i have ever had .
I would like to share my experience with BudgetAir to warn anyone considering booking a flight through this platform. Without a doubt, this has been one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had.
When making my reservation, I carefully entered the information of the actual passenger, the person who was supposed to travel. Further down the booking page, there was a separate section clearly labeled “Contact details of the person making the reservation,” where I entered my own information, since I was the one purchasing and paying for the ticket. I even have screenshots proving that the passenger’s information and the booking contact information were entered in two completely different sections.
After completing the payment, I received the e-ticket and immediately noticed that BudgetAir had incorrectly issued the ticket in my name instead of the actual passenger’s name. This was clearly an error caused by their booking system or by the way they processed the reservation.
I contacted BudgetAir’s customer service immediately to explain the situation. Unfortunately, the experience only became worse. Their customer service representatives do not know how to properly communicate with customers. They do not take the time to understand the issue, they show very little interest in resolving it, and they simply repeat the same responses without offering any real solution. No matter how many times you call, you seem to reach the same agents every time, which gives the impression that they are seriously understaffed.
What is even more frustrating is that, despite this mistake being caused by their system, they completely refused to take responsibility. Instead, they instructed me to contact Ethiopian Airlines myself.
After speaking with Ethiopian Airlines, I was clearly informed that because the ticket was purchased through BudgetAir, BudgetAir is solely responsible for managing the booking and correcting any errors. The airline confirmed that they could not make changes because the reservation belongs to the travel agency that issued it. In other words, BudgetAir sent me to the airline even though they knew they were responsible for handling the issue.
For more than seven hours, I have been trying to resolve this matter. I repeatedly asked to speak with a supervisor or manager. Every single time, I was told that a manager would call me back within one or two hours. No one has ever called me back. This makes me seriously question whether they even have supervisors available to deal with serious customer issues.
To make matters even worse, BudgetAir actually asked me to contact Ethiopian Airlines again and request that the airline authorize a refund without any fees. They told me that only if Ethiopian Airlines agreed would they consider refunding me. This is completely unacceptable and highly unprofessional. It is not the customer’s responsibility to do the work of the travel agency, especially when the mistake originated from BudgetAir’s own system. A professional company takes responsibility for its own errors instead of sending customers back and forth between different companies.
The lack of communication, accountability, professionalism, and customer support is simply shocking. Instead of resolving the problem, they waste your time and leave you without any real assistance.
I was also extremely disappointed by their refund policy. In my case, the proposed refund would have deducted the vast majority of the ticket price, leaving me with only a small fraction of what I had paid. I found this completely unreasonable and unfair.
Based on my experience, I strongly encourage anyone considering using BudgetAir to think twice before booking with them. I DO NOT RECOMMEND Budgetair to anyone . You will regret all your life i promise you .
I have all the necessary evidence to support everything stated above, including screenshots of the booking process, my reservation details, and records of my communications with both BudgetAir and Ethiopian Airlines.
I sincerely hope my experience helps others avoid the frustration, wasted time, financial loss, and unnecessary stress that I have experienced.

I was not happy with the 3D system you use for verifying credit cards. I entered the card number from a Visa card that I have used before for airline tickets but was not able to complete my purchase with this same card without getting a 3D unable to verify error

Our standard processing timeframe for ticket issuance is up to 96 hours. As your booking consisted of a combination of one-way tickets, your outbound ticket was issued on the same day, and your return ticket was issued within 72 hours.

I booked a flight from Montreal
I booked a flight from Montreal, and once at the airport in Dorval
, couldn’t find my flight on the departure board. I finally realized my flight departed from the other airport in the Montreal area, the one in St Hubert (new airport)!
I therefore missed my flight.
The Porter airlines agent told me I’m not the only one who made that mistake.
When booking , the city of departure HAS TO BE MENTIONNED CLEARLY.
IT WAS NOT!
Could you please modify your booking system so the city is clearly mentioned.

No looking back
First of all, I stopped booking flight tickets using other search apps and portals. I directly check and books tickets on BudgetAir as it’s amazingly good, easy and fast. Above all it’s reliable and I love to recommend as it offers a highly competitive and a decent price.
