Experienced was great. Communication was very quick and comprehensive. Also the conversations felt very personal and friendly. A welcome change compared to the normal robotic interactions everyone has become used to.

I ordered a new head unit for my old 2013 GXL LC200 it fitted up no worries later to find the reverse camera did not work because the factory cameras are 6V and the new headunits are 12V. Having my suspicions I asked the question when ordering but they weren’t able to confirm the voltage of my cruiser. When I emailed there support team minutes after discovering this after install, they quickly responded and even sent out a new camera to suit for free! Since i had flagged this already during ordering rather than just give me the voltage adapter due to the quality video it would produce on my new screen.

Product is clean and works well.
Support was prompt and accurate, they also explained how to program my steering wheel controls to the new headunit. (Very easy)

I recommend using their trim tool kit as this made install easy.

I had a really great experience with this team. After installing Apple CarPlay, I lost functionality of my reverse camera and wasn’t sure how to fix it. They quickly identified the issue and organised the correct cord needed to reconnect it.

Throughout the process, they kept me updated with shipping details and made everything super easy. The cord arrived quickly, and once installed, everything worked perfectly again.

The unit is a big improvement on the factory fit and fitted perfectly. I would have liked a more detailed connection instruction specific for my set up. Having said that the support I got from the sales team and tech team (Tommy).

Purchased a new head unit and dash cam for my 2013 Panamera. The whole process was easy. Great communication from Patrick at Brummstadt and professional installation from Aaron on the Gold Coast. Very pleased with the head unit itself.

Installationof headunit is fairly straight forward, however unless you are practical/technically minded, I would suggest getting help with it.Delivery was a bit slow but Kevin was diligent in follow up and ultimately did deliver on promises.Technical advice from Patrick is very good, accurate and clear when working through set up of head unit and apps. Email contact is frustrating when seeking support,as on multiple occassion their mailbox bounced back as it was full, adding days to communication process. Brummstadt management need to improve and implement competitive chat/YouTube type guides to better support their team and customers; matching competitors websites.The analogue AM RADIO will notwork due to poor aerial reception. Apparently ISUZU OEM unit operates AM/FM via integrated aerial and Brummstadt to date have not provided a solution to instal aerial alternative? You will need to buy the DAB+ kit to listen to these stations(works well), not that this will help in emergency in regional areas of Australia. The unit looks great, works well in metropolitan areas. For remote and regional Australia Starlink looks like a good idea for reliable internet.

I initially purchased the unit for the wrong year car, but upon contacting Brummstadt customer service, they sorted me out with the correct wiring setup (no additional charge, even though it was my error), and continued to follow up with me every few days to ensure everything worked to my satisfaction, including assisting with steering wheel button mapping and setup. I honestly have not experienced such excellent customer serivce from any provider in years - so refreshing in this age of AI chatbots and distant call centres. The product itself is excellent, great screen clarity and easy to install. Will definitely be recommending to others in need of an upgrade.

Kevin and Tommy were assisting me extensively showing patience and understanding while analysing my feedback and providing FW patches for months. Recently, Tommy and I agreed that the testing proved an internal HW fault and the unit needs replacement under warranty. Tommy promptly arranged for a new unit delivery, kept me updated on the process and showed keen interest that all went well. I purchased a new head unit for my Skoda after having constant problems with a cheaper version from a Chinese online supplier.
Although there was a problem initially with the frame not fitting the dashboard, the friendly customer rep, Tommy, was quickly able to come up with a solution.
I'm happy to recommend this company. They sell quality products and their customer service is second to none

After researching several options to replace my standard 8-inch Ford Sync 2 unit, I decided on Brummstadt due to their competitive pricing and positive feedback.
Installation & Fit
The unit arrived within a week. While the instructions were clear and the process was generally straightforward, I did need to use a file to modify the fascia slightly to provide clearance for a few mounting clips. It wasn’t mentioned in the guide, but it was a simple fix.
Technical Support
I reached out to the technical team regarding the left-hand/right-hand drive display settings and the factory reverse camera quality. Kevin responded within 12 hours with clear instructions. His proactive follow-up until the issues were resolved was outstanding.
Performance & Camera
The display swap to right-hand drive was an easy fix. Regarding the factory reversing camera: the image isn't quite as crisp as the original. This is likely because the new HD-ready screen is larger than the original 8-inch display.
Brummstadt does offer an HD camera upgrade, but since that requires new wiring and a different mounting point, I’ve decided the current image is "good enough" for my needs.
Final Verdict
The unit has operated flawlessly for several months. Given the build quality and the excellent after-sales support, I would absolutely purchase from Brummstadt again.

I needed to upgrade the headunit in my Hilux as the factory one stopped working. I’m glad I went with the Brummstadt crew. After initially sending the wrong unit for my car I cannot fault the team especially Tommy who was always there to help with updates and any questions. Once we worked out the wrong unit was sent the new one was straight on its way with no hesitation. I was always informed of where it was up to and when the new unit would arrive. I also had an issue with the reverse camera set up which turned out to just be a setting that needed to be changed. Tommy was all over that again and with a quick message he had me sorted out. Cannot fault this company or the staff.
