Our car completely broke down on the M1 and was totally immobile. Brittania were brilliant and so was the recovery agent they used. Highways Traffic were made aware of our dangerous position and arrived immediately. The total service was worth every penny of our membership which we have had for over 20 years. Thank you Britannia.

Not a good experience with this company my car broke down on a buisy high way police turned up instantly and took control of recovery on my vehicle due to i was in a dangerous situation
I had to pay the fees recovery and impound due to police woudnt take it to my driveway police women gave me incident log number to give to thr breakdown recovery company phoned this company up to recover the cost i paid £261 to be told they wont pay it
Yet on there website it says
If you have Breakdown Cover: If your vehicle broke down and you did not have a means to move it safely, Allianz can cover the recovery costs to a local garage. However, if the police called a third-party towing service without authorizing Allianz first, you will likely need to pay the police or the towing company upfront and claim the reimbursement back from Allianz.
Im going to take this further Ombudsman Service
Ive spoke to many ppl including other insurance brokers and they have told me this isnt right these companys will do everything they can to get out of paying
This is the reason for my review
im just making ppl aware of the problem i have faced with this breakdown company
How ever if there willing to reimburse me the cost im willing to remove the feedback

As it was not an emergency and my car was at home I “booked” online for a visit the following morning. I was very surprised and delighted that the agent turned up 12 hrs earlier than expected.

As an LV customer I get this with my car insurance. I had an issue with my car yesterday, I called for assistance 11:09 and explained that I had been able to stop my car at the end of a lay-by but blocking two drives. Because it wasn’t completely in a lay-by I was told that it would need to be recovered to a place of safety which was perfectly understandable. They said would take up to 90 minutes to recover me and take me to a garage of my choice. When I queried why they would recover me to a garage to get it fixed at my expense when I have breakdown insurance cover that means they should at least try to fix it at the roadside. I was told that was possible but that I would need to be recovered first to a safe place 90 minutes by recovery vehicle. Then a roadside mechanic person would be called to my location to come out to try and fix it which would take another 2 more hours and if fixing was not possible I would then have to wait for another recovery to take me to a garage which could take another another 2 hours. Total of 5.5 hours! Now if that isn’t trying to put me off the process of claiming to get it repaired roadside through my insurance, I don’t know what is. I genuinely felt being presented with this 5.5 hour possibility that the only option I had was to be recovered and taken to a garage to pay for it myself. The Britannia team remained in contact with me but eventually I cancelled the callout at 12.27 as I had been helped by a local guy from business who had stopped to help me roadside! Not what this insurance is for in my opinion! I’ll be formally complaining.

Easy to contact advisor for help.
Quick response from roadside representative
Polite, helpful, reassuring assistance.
Overall very impressed, especially the response time from the roadside assistant especially as it was a Friday evening prior to a Bank Holiday (40 mins)

Great service throughout!
Very prompt response to my phone call for roadside assistance. I was given a clear explanation of the next steps, and an ETA for assistance to arrive. The mechanic arrived well within the ETA, and did not take long to get my car running again.

Don't be fooled by the cashback offers through various sites, Britannia never pays this cashback, myself and many others have fallen for this dodgy sales tactic.

Appalling service. Broke down at 1am and still awaiting recovery 16 hrs later. Poor communication incorrect and misleading information, refusal of team leader to speak about the situation.

First time use of Brittania Rescue and blown away by such caring telephone communication and speed of pick up. Excellent breakdown services and so much better than AA!
I was woman alone, broken down on a teeny crossroads in isolated Wales location, causing a jam, completely frazzled and temperature of 30C! Nick from Hough Green, Chester arrived very quickly and was truly the 4th emergency service. Highly professional and somehow quickly got my van on loader. Felt safe and reassured immediately. Great personality and actually enjoyed the ride back. Thank you so much for this 5 star service.
