Ciaran was exceptional
Ciaran was exceptional. Spend the time to sort out the serious issues i had with the software that wasnt connecting and he knew straight away why. Got me connected and didnt realise brightpay expenses needed the new digital cert as well which he knew and resolved and helped me put all the expenses through that had rejected due to these issues
He was the best support agent and should be valued . My experience was extremely adavantageous all issues noone had to date helped me with were resolved. Thanks

Software constantly crashes and when you use it for important things it's not ideal. I cannot wait to move away from this software. So unreliable. You need to fix this immediately as we need this for deadline work!

Great service from Ciaran Belton - he was enthusiastic and helpful and didn't make me feel like a technophobe. He sorted my query out in a few minutes. Brightpay is great software and easy to use but on this occasion I couldn't figure out how to import some information which Ciaran solved.

We understand that payroll software’s are going cloud based but why change something that isn’t broken...
We have moved a large majority of clients over to BrightPay Cloud and all we have had is issues.
I will just list a few issues we have had.
- From the payroll approval request, the client is unable to save the payslips as one file they, they must be saved individually. On the desktop version they could save it as one file.
- You’re unable to download and saved the coding notices, you have to save it as a screenshot.
- The P45’s on BrightPay Cloud look totally different to an actual P45.
- The Desktop version shows when employees last received an invite to sign up to the portal. Cloud function doesn’t show this.
- There is no option to post AE letters directly to the employee portal.
- We were told by BrightPay that the employees wouldn’t be affected by the move to BrightPay Cloud from the desktop version but after a complaint from a client that isn’t the case. All employees have been invited to a new portal that has a totally different web address.
- If you look at an employee’s YTD figures within the payroll on the cloud, and then move to another employee, you are switched back to this period. On the desktop it would remember that you were in YTD & stay in that for the next employee
- Additional cost of CIS product that was free under desktop whilst losing free flow between payroll & CIS.
- Why would you remove the option to bulk save/download PDF reports and make you save each one individually 🤯.
As a company we have used the desktop version for years and it works perfectly. We understand that payroll software’s are going cloud based but why change something that isn’t broken.
We have also tried to contact Bright numerous occasions via different methods, and we haven’t heard anything back.

Made the grave error of signing up for a free trial with bright books. Was charged for the pleasure the next day. Truly painful communicating with bots that direct you to the products page.....cannot cancel subscription as I have a pending payment due..???????????. FIVE DAYS into FREE trial , I cannot cancel as I have a pending payment due??????????. Bots just keep telling to repeat the same action. Emails go unanswered. U have been warned......
