We transform lives through trusted, nurturing special needs tuition
We won the Tuition Business of the Year award in the 2022 National Tutoring Awards (runners-up in 2023, 2024 & 2025). We were also runners-up in the categories Alternative Provision Provider in 2025 and Best Tuition Delivery to Private Clients in 2023. We were also a finalist in the EducationInvestor Awards for SEN Supporter of the Year in 2025.
Bright Heart helps students with learning challenges or SEMH needs, those lacking confidence or motivation, and those who have fallen behind in school. It also provides home-schooling tuition overseen by UK-qualified teachers. Our nurturing approach boosts learning and confidence.
Our experienced team is passionate about helping children and young people achieve their potential. Our education consultants (experienced UK-qualified teachers) take the time to fully understand students’ unique learning needs, ensure that we provide well-matched tutors, and oversee tutoring.
Students receive individual learning plans (ILPs) that cater not only to their academic requirements but also to their SEMH needs. ILPs serve as a roadmap, guiding tutors to deliver tailored tuition that keeps students’ learning on track.
Tutors are carefully screened, personally interviewed by a director, background checked (including Enhanced DBS with children’s barred list check), and met in person. Tutors receive training and guidance on tutoring and safeguarding practices and adhere to our tutoring standards, Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy, and Online Tutoring Policy.
Our tutors have the patience, understanding and necessary experience to ensure that sensitive learning situations are handled with care. Tutors embody Bright Heart’s student-centred approach, taking the time to listen and connect to students, enhancing trust, self-esteem, and self-belief before building on academic abilities.
We cover from Reception to A-level and offer adult support. While we focus on English, maths and science, we cover most subjects. We offer supplementary tuition and interim education, covering the entire curriculum. In addition, we provide help with lifelong skills like study techniques and transition into adulthood.
Bright Heart offers in-person tutoring in London and parts of Surrey and Kent, and online tutoring nationwide and internationally. We work with private clients, local authorities, and schools (we were an accredited National Tutoring Programme (NTP) Tuition Partner).

We spent time finding the right fit for a tutor for our son for maths. It was worked out so well and our son is doing well with the extra support. It is a real value adding effort.
The tutor, Harris is amazing, he spends time building the relationship around football, which our son loves. But also ensures work is done and uses lots of interactive approaches. We also have good communication and flexibility around the lessons.
Well done Bright Heart Education and Harris you are doing a really good job!

Our tutor is really calm and 100% focused on our son. He has settled really well into the tutoring and happy to spend the full hour on it - I even have to prompt him that 'time's up!'

Bright Heart Education were great at finding the right tutor for my daughter who has dyscalculia. Our tutor Antonia, on the first lesson connected with my 7 year old daughter and was able to engage her which is crucial. My daughter who does not enjoy Maths due to her learning difficulty, actually looks forward to lessons with Antonia and the lessons are fun, productive and rewarding.
I would recommend Bright Heart Education in finding the right tutor for your child/children.

Our son can't wait when the tutor Emily from the Bright Heart comes again. She managed to get him interested in different subjects he learns at school, to motivate and raise his self esteem. She is kind and inspiring. Her presence is life changing, indeed!

Haris was brilliant. Gave our son confidence in his ability and helped him move his grade from a C to an A. Couldn’t ask for more.

Full compromised management team who offers the student whom is needed. I have had very good experience with my two boys.

I came across Brightheart after noticing that my 5 year old son was struggling at school, particularly when it came to deciphering letters and simple maths tasks. Unfortunately dyslexia cannot be tested for until children are older, but I wanted to find a tutor that could look for any potential signs and come up with some techniques that would help him, without him feeling that he was being singled out for 'extra help'. Brightheart were the answer! I spoke with John at length about my son's needs and he was extremely understanding and professional. A week later we met our tutor Melodie who my son had an instant bond with. She recognised all the issues I had been concerned about and set out a plan that was suited to my son. Her sessions involve lots of play-based and visual learning, which has worked miracles. My son is so much more confident and thanks to Melodie's advice we now also have a special educational needs plan in place at school too. Brightheart provide more than just a tutoring service, they give the child (and the parents) the tools to understand any concerns and confront them head on but in a manner that is very subtle. I can't recommend the Brightheart team enough! Thank you!
