Brick Fest Live is a total joke!
This place is absolutely ridiculous and feels scammy! I preordered vip tickets for their show in Council Bluffs. It's now two weeks before the event and I was notified via text that the event has been cancelled and is "tbd for sometime in April 2025" and that my tickets would transfer. I contacted them to get my money back, as this will NOT work for my family and I was told this is "non-refundable" but I'm more than welcome to transfer my tickets to a friend or family member! Are you kidding me??? YOU cancel the event but say my tickets are still not refundable? Absolutely unacceptable.
EPIC FAIL!!!
My family and I purchased tickets for the Uniondale event. We spent $200 purchasing the VIP package for our family. Not only were we HIGHLY disappointed in the event itself but also the fact that we overlooked the tons of negative reviews we read on multiple sites. VIP gets you a small build of the event’s mascot and some pendant . There are no additional vendors! Slim selection of items in their store (which is priced higher than Target/Walmart).
I noticed the tons of 5 star reviews for Uniondale and wouldn’t be surprised if these were all bogus. According to posts, this event tours all over the US but have recently done tours in Germany and England with absolutely horrific reviews. Definitely, they’re doing some sort of “cash grab” scam if they’re getting the same reviews from other Lego lovers in other countries.
Do yourself a favor and go to your local LEGO store or Legoland!
When we complained along with other attendees, we were given a standard email. At that point we pretty much chalked it up to us losing $200!!!
Worst event ever attended
What a travesty this event was. It was advertised as a fun family day out, with lots to see. Should have been advertised as please waste your money and be bored. There were limited areas to do building, no instructors one place to eat within the arena, very few figures made. My children and I were looking forward to this and were so disappointed we left after an hour. To make matters worse, I have asked for a refund and emailed a total of 16 times and apart from the first initial reply have been ignored. Do not go to any events this provider is offering, their customer service is shocking.
Never go again
As adult who loves lego, this event is disappointment..I should looked the reviews prior buying tickets..too expensive and not worth the price!! I think the venue is too big for the event as they don't have enough displays to show, not too many lego stations for kids and for the parents/grandparents they do not have enough chair to offer to sit while the kids are falling in line. We asked a staff about ninjago as we want to buy for our kids but the staff were not ware what ninjago is🤔 Anyways they have few interesting displays that you might already saw. This event is just "NO NO" for LEGO hobbyists and enthusiasts, save your money. Will not recommend to attend! My apologies but this is what I experienced today!
Don't bother
Calgary show 2024 - Maybe Legoland raised my expectations too high but this show is pretty lame. It's bad enough that the "exclusive" VIP build is less than 2" tall, they ran out of arms by noon. For an event where they knew the EXACT number of VIP tickets sold! I'm pretty sure they could have found people capable of making signs out of Lego so that you knew what was going on where. If not, a sharpie and some poster board from the dollar store would have been appreciated. And not a bench in sight for us grandparents to use while waiting for our kids in line. There were some interesting displays (but not very many). Bottom line - chintzy production and nowhere near worth the money. I should have picked the Disney Experience.
Biggest pile of crap EVER
Biggest pile of crap EVER. Just visited the one in Doncaster. Paid £17 for me and 2 kids to be given the opportunity to visit a load of vendors selling overpriced Lego sets. Absolute waste of my money. Nothing for kids to do, seriously do not bother.

Sooooo disappointing- don’t go
Sooooo disappointing. There are several areas to build your own legos but almost nothing else. There are 5 large statue builds that probably travel
Place to place but nothing else. We have been to Lego conventions before with many builds by different builders. Nothing here. Then the Lego sets are the same price or more than Lego.com. Aaand there are no prices on the sets- so you have to use the bad WiFi to search Lego for each. Wow- never again
How embarassing for anyone working at…
How embarassing for anyone working at this event. not enough of certain coloured bricks to make mosaics? come on its supposed to be the biggest festival outside of America?? Not enough chairs for people to sit at? false advertising the use of Lego markers when we had to used cheap felt tips? hardly any lego models and which ones there were they were lookig tired. The shop was awful? 3 lego sets to purchase?and keyrings for £15 oh and the lego markers we were supposed to be using to colour in with and what was the excuse? Brexit!!
I spent £60 on the tickets and I wish Id just popped to the lego shop In Birmingham or the Lego Discovery centre in Birmignham it would have been more exciting!..
Excellent day out. So fun!
We had a fun day at the Birmingham event. Prior to visiting I had watched a YouTube review from an earlier show in Leeds - so I knew not to expect loads of models on display. But the models shown were great and pitched perfectly for the kids attending. We arrived at opening time and stayed until near to closing because we lost track of time - we spent the whole day interacting with each of the build spaces available. Some reviews have stated that it was just a room with LEGO dumped on tables but it was so much more than that. Each space was carefully organised with specific bricks to complete the task in that section. Unlike at the Lego discovery center - you could actually find the pieces you wanted rather than having to search through piles of unsorted lego. Staff were actively managing each space - organising and replenishing bricks where needed. We enjoyed the opportunity to relax and play with our 8 year old son. The staff were enthusiastic and went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. We would definitely return and felt the price was perfect for such a full family day out. The shop was very limited but as a parent I preferred this as it didn’t add additional cost to our day out. The key to this event was to arrive prepared to PLAY. Something that many people have lost touch with sadly.
LEEDS BRICKFEST
Went to the one in Leeds, was around it in 15 minutes. Pointless. Few sellers (mostly used sets) and a couple of exhibits and a table for filling a brick box (something you can do in a Lego store anyway). Complete waste of time.
Waste of money
Went to Birmingham on 26/05/24 for my son’s 6th birthday. Spent £80 on tickets, we were there an hour and had done everything, the children enjoyed the bouncy castle but otherwise very little to do. Room looked empty, you could build a car to race but no one told us we only had 4 minutes to build in then we were rushed off the table. Staff were pleasant and we’re trying to make it fun but so disappointed and definitely not worth the money.
Dissapointed
Attended birmingham event on 27/05/24. It was an extremely dissapointing event. There were no vendors or large scale displays, the shop that was there was a poor excuse and very overpriced. Admission price was also grossly inflated (payed for vip)
The willy wonka fiasco all over again
The willy wonka fiasco all over again. Shocking
Birmingham UK event was awful. Large room. Tables of lego that's pretty much it. Would have been so angry if I have paid for VIP. Would like our money back it was so so bad.
Total rip off
Not worth the money at all! Arrived at event with husband and 4 grandkids and was disappointed to see mainly just piles of Lego bricks on tables. We could have done that at home for free instead of paying around £85. The kids had to make the most of it and enjoyed helping to make the giant puzzle but apart from that you could do it all at home.
Absolute waste of money
Absolute waste of money. Spent £65 to take the grandkids and was there less than a hour. If this is the largest brick event I would hate to see the smallest, complete rip off, very disappointing 😞
Overpriced
Overpriced, hardly any displays only 1 shop, billed as the biggest UK lego event. Me and my 11yo walked out after 10 mins.
Will never go again or use that company.
It's an empty space with piles of Lego…
It's an empty space with piles of Lego , honestly it's absolutely abysmal, very limited builds som amazing but my god what an absolute waste of money!
The biggest scam I've ever been to
The biggest scam I've ever been to. False claims of biggest event in UK complete untrue. Do not waste your money
Not worth the time or money
Not worth the time or money, an empty hall with literally nothing to do. AVOID
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY
Absolute waste of time and money. Travelled 80 miles with my 10 year old son, no traders apart from one stall with no prices (how convenient when they know there'll be a lot of kids wanting to buy stuff and you don't find out the price til you get to the till 🙄), it was basically an empty hall with a few tables filled with Lego to build yourself. 100% not worth the cost. If you're planning on going one of the other days, save yourself the hassle and try and get a refund! And to add insult to injury, the minifig bags which are priced at £12-14 each are from the front of magazines. You couldn't make this up. Now they have also disabled Facebook comments and reviews so they can continue scamming. Disgusting.
