Disappointing Customer Service Experience

This review is being posted later than it should have been because I had honestly forgotten about my unresolved issue until I received a marketing call from Bradford today promoting their products.

In November 2025, I purchased an RCMP Commemorative Ring. When it arrived, I realized I had received the wrong ring. I contacted Bradford by email on December 2, 2025, and followed up again on December 10, 2025—both well within the company's 120-day return window. Unfortunately, I never received a response to either email.

Today, I finally had the opportunity to speak with a customer service representative. I explained that I still have the ring, that it has never been worn, and asked if they would consider honoring the return given that I had attempted to initiate it twice within the required timeframe. I also offered to provide copies of both emails as proof. Despite this, I was told that because more than 120 days had passed, nothing could be done.

I understand that policies are in place for a reason. However, I also believe customers should not be penalized when they make every effort to follow those policies and receive no response from the company.

I'm sure many customers have had positive experiences with Bradford, but unfortunately mine was very disappointing. Based on how this situation was handled, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

The status of the product I ordered was eventually changed to on backorder. I never got a notification to this change.

The product I ordered was a personalized wedding present for a wedding being held on July 4th. I ordered the item on June 2nd. The order confirmation stated estimated arrival June 16-30. Based on the dates I should be receiving the item on time. On June 29, I checked the tracking information. The date showed August 10th. I contacted customer services to be told that the item was on backorder. I never received any notification that the delivery date would not be respected. The product looked so beautiful and I was looking forward to the expressions of the bride and groom. Now I have to scramble to find another gift in such short notice.
