Crooks!!!

Yes, I will write another review. Box takes complete advantage of you and charged me $185.00 in a split second. I realized my mistake immediately and tried to void or cancel. They are terrible and would not cancel me. They will not even discuss. Meanwhile, I will never use this whatever and will continue to slander them. Only when they credit my account will I stop.

I have been a customer for 10 year and…

I have been a customer for 10 year and switched to the enterprise version more than 5 years ago. I had syncing issues and customer support was horrible. My files were deleted and I haven't even touched this issue with them either.

I had sent the 1st person visual images of the issue along with a video explainer and he didn't even see if or even confirm viewing it even after I asked him. The first person didn't resolve the issue and transferred me to another person and the second person just recommended another product. I told him I want to stick with my current product and he hasn't responded for 2 days. This is the type B.S. service you will expect after 10 years of throwing money at them. Do not go to them and use DROPBOX. I tried to upgrade to phone support and they stated I don't make them enough money to even apply for phone service, so I am stuck with these agents that don't care to provide service.....

1 Star only because I cannot do zero.

I gave this company one star only because I cannot leave zero. The service is appalling. No one responds on the telephone until your message says you are cancelling your account. Apparently, spending £500/year on their service is not enough to get any help when there is a problem. Even when it is caused by them, suddenly and without notification, ceasing to service the operating system on your Apple Pro!

We've had to stop telephone help since COVID' - despite the rest of the world getting on with business?
You can raise a ticket on line - NO, you cannot if you "ONLY" spend £500/year

Avoid this company

Avoid this company. I use them for online storage and have done for years. Recently my storage capacity was almost full so I looked to increase this. At no point did they explain the fine print In some of the terms and conditions and actually misled me in order to purchase a service I never needed. So I was expecting to pay 12 pounds a month and they just took over 500 from my credit card. Despite using them for years, when I contacted them they had no interest and just told me that I couldn’t cancel the service for 12 months and I had to do it on a specific date 12 months away otherwise they would renew it again at the over inflated price. Great way to treat loyal customers

Not fit for purpose & no refund

Licenses required to setup the platform were negotiated in advance, including a setup consultation fee. This cost over $13k & was payable 12 months in advance. The setup consultation was basically someone giving us a list of online tutorials to do to become an admin on the system, which is a lot of work. There was little actual support, you have to design your own file structure & migration, & it's a steep learning curve (the platform is not very intuitive). After completing the training program we discovered that it does not support a bunch of basic features we needed / outlined in our brief & were not told weren't supported including changing the file download location to a RAID (the system wants to store data on the user's system drive). After wasting over a month in training, we tried to cancel after never actually using the platform & were refused a refund. We've since submitted an ombudsman complaint.

Terrible customer service and outdated service overall. Make sure you cancel their trial subscription or they will keep charging you for it and they will refuse to refund you. The sales people aren't knowledgeable.

Box is a constant headache

Box is a constant headache. They limit your account and are very non-transparent about your usage.
Additionally when you install their desktop application they force a shortcut to be on your desktop. Very not user-friendly compared to other services like Dropbox or google.
It’s pretty much a constant aggravation with this service.

Whatever you do...Do NOT choose BOX to use as your cloud storage. They have all kinds of ways to automatically debit your account. Share a file? You get charged for an entire year for that person you shared the file with. Add 1 person to your enterprise account? You get automatically charged for 8 "seats." Have a problem because you are being invoiced hundreds of dollars a couple of times a MONTH for an entire year and you call billing? There is no way to speak to anyone in BIlling You have to email through zendesk and they write in a circular logic that make no sense. Even within minutes of the erroneous transaction, if you want to delete "Users" or "SeATS" you cannot for A YEAR. this company was recommended to us by our IT company, who probably get a commission as they DO give their sales people commission. If your IT company recommends them, get rid of them as well. I really believe this company is a FRAUD.

Manipulative

I was tricked into signing up for a yearly subscription instead of a monthly. Tried to change it back with customer service 3 times, but they kept insisting I could only change it after the year was over and referred to their terms and conditions. You can scale up to additional users without any issues, but it is impossible to scale down the number of users again. You have to click through 4-5 screens to cancel your account. It seems very manipulative and greedy.

This is a terrible application

This is a terrible application. They charge you for a whole year for a subscription and no cancelation is possible. Software program is problematic, no customer service contact, email just a useless chat box with no support for issues. I ordered it and tried to cancel an hour later. I wouldn't give it even a star.
They just set up this website and buyer beware!!!

They are the rudes customer service, I've been trying to cancel! Been real nice about it! 3 times somebody supposed to call me back! I ask why I have to wait until, the boxes go back to get confirmation! Trued the chat box couldn't get a answer, just got of the phone lady want to tell me how her employees won't be talked to! Not explaining why I can't get a confirmation yes I did tell the employees they are scam artist you want to charge me for intersepting some boxes I no long need! No body can explain the how the conciliation work nothing then yell at me! Some customer service still don't have confirmation except her trying tell grown ass woman who pay her bill going threw pandemic and family then have to deal with people in this company! Will walk in the store for now one get boxes have more respect for customer and changes people facing at these hard times

Fraud

As other people have said here they charge for different packages after the free trial. I signed up for the lowest rate individual paid monthly and they charged a business rate at an annual basis £288.

They take whatever they feel like from your card.

Signed up for free tial

Signed up for free tial, cancelled account 10 minutes later and received all the "we're sorry to see you go" emails from them. Two weeks later I was charged $84. I complained that my cancellation wasn't properly actioned so they processed the refund after my complaint and said it was a one time 'courtesy'. No apology. Their software is broken and customer service sucks. I'll never try Box again. Stick with Dropbox.

Don't try to cancel from this company…

Don't try to cancel from this company because you can't even do it from within the product. They make you ask about 6 different questions before it says you can't do it and need to contact support. Then when they finally respond to your support ticket, they'll blame you for going over your billing period and are 'doing you a favour by cancelling it'. What a joke, stay well clear.

I'm using box cloud since 2013 when…

I'm using box cloud since 2013 when they offered 50gb for each LG mobile login!!
It's perfect for my mobile files, fast download and has many forms supported, and you can login by biometric👍 top privacy. And all of this for the FREE plan!! 💓
I don't know why people prefer Dropbox! 🤔
I hope there are a large lifetime plan

Use Box to store all your files - AWESOME

Our company uses Box, and I also use Box personally to store my documents, photos, videos, sensitive data etc. Box is AMAZING - so much more than just cloud storage. You can watch videos, share photos, scan documents, electronic sign and send documents, secure sensitive data and so much more.
