A taste of yesterday
I grew up in the North West of England and good meat and potato pies were a staple of my diet. Since moving away, I have missed them. Now, at last I have found that taste again. Beautiful crisp pastry, and a filling that is like a party in my mouth

Excellent pies. The meat is succulent, the gravy is delicious & the pastry is very light & tasty.
I've eaten lots of pies 🥧 (i'm 60y.o) in my time and these are definitely in my top 10. 👌🏻

Eat These Pies!!!
These pies are genuinely excellent - and that's from a fussy Yorkshireman living "down south" and missing the taste of home. I bought my Dad 2x Meat and Potato, 2x Cheese and Onion and 2x Steak Puddings. He's not eaten the C&O ones yet but I can confirm that he and my Mum absolutely loved the other two and will be placing an order themselves. I bought my Brummie Husband 2x Chicken Balti Pies and although he did say they weren't "quite" the same as the ones he used to get at half time whilst watching "THE MIGHTY BIRMINGHAM CITY", they were delicious and we would have them again in a heartbeat. When my parents place their order, we shall be sneaking a couple of those on the list and maybe some Jerk Chicken Pies too. Can not recommend highly enough - eat these pies!!!

Im a 70 year old Lancastrian exiled in Scotland for the last 8 years been all over Scotland looking for a good old fashioned Meat & Potato pie sadly I failed...so in desperation I thought id venture online and search for them
BOWENS came up and having worked on Chorley market in my youth I thought ill try them.....

I thought i was buying Meat and potato…
I thought i was buying Meat and potato pie but when i cooked them for tea we seemed to have potato and meat. Which is they called the pie on the web site but it was mostly potato and hardly and meat. Very disappointed will not be buying again.

Bowen pies Harpers lane
We visited the Harper's lane shop at lunchtime today and I can't recommend it enough, the shop is spotlessly clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the pies (steak and a chicken and mushroom) were beautiful, piping hot and just truly tasty pies, we enjoyed it so much we treated ourselves to an ice cream pie and it was well worth it, definitely somewhere we would visit again.

This company has to be one of the best i have ever dealt with. My communication with them was first class (i forgot which date i requested for delivery) They were lovely and understanding and asked if i wanted the pies earlier which i did. There were no issues whatsoever with dpd, package arrived safely and on time. I put the steak one in to warm up instantly and I absolutely loved it. The pastry was nice and crusty and full of steak, it tasted like a luxury pie. I really cannot imagine buying from anywhere else. Thankyou so much Bowens pies and keep doing what you do because your customers are really appreciating it.
