Unpleasant experience in Barnet Boots

My partner bought an electric toothbrush in the Eastbourne branch whilst on holiday. Two weeks later it stopped working. We took it back to the Barnet Branch. The manager was extremely unpleasant and refused to give a refund or a replacement saying we should go back to Eastbourne as we no longer had a box. I'm sure that this is contrary to the consumer protection act. We went to Borehamwood and they couldn't have been more helpful. But what a horrible experience it was being confronted by the Barnet Boots Jobsworth.

Get your act together, Boots.

this relates to my visit to Boots at 173 Camden High St about 4 weeks ago, and previously in July. Very off-hand service at counter, with my Boots points history bill heading for the bin in a casual manner, not given to me until I asked. Generally a lack of professionalism, and if this goes on, expect to have your customers leaving in droves. The store generally felt run-down, shelves left unfilled, and (new-ish) staff talking to each other while attending customer. This is not the old Boots service with good manners and attention to customers. You are not the only high-street chemist.

Snail paced Service

I went today to get my antibiotics that my GP prescribed me but the staff confirmed they have the medicine in stock yet they took mote than an hour to prepare the medicine for me. This was such bad experience and I would never come to this pharmacy for anything. They already have many bad reviews in the past but dont think they took the feedback seriously and improved their service.

A shocker!!

Absolutely shocking service at the branch at The Springs Leeds 15. I found myself needing to come to this bigger branch as my local didn't stock the item I wanted. I was horrified to find that payment for my item was ALL self service. I wanted to pay cash and most machines were card only. I've never used self service and never want to. It should be my choice. There was a shop assistant available to help people who were always getting stuck. She had decided to help serve as the Q was quite long. I decided to wait for her. Big mistake. As I walked over she said you need to serve yourself. I said I didn't know how and she said that's what I'm here for. I added either way I don't want to as there is only 1 machine for cash and surely I have a choice? Apparently not!!! I'm a pensioner and don't see why I can't be served. I'm not too concerned about me but my dear old mum is 92 yrs old and surely should not be faced with such a dilemma. She doesn't even have bank cards. Come on Boots please consider having manned tills and giving jobs to people. Why make shopping stressful for everyone? At the end of the day the self serve took longer as people were getting stuck and having to wait for help.

I am writing to express my deep…

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and concern regarding the unprofessional and discourteous behavior I experienced during my recent visit to your pharmacy on 19/04/25 at 4:00 pm at Bretton/P'bro Boots.
I received a text message confirming that my prescriptions were ready for collection. Upon arriving, I joined the queue and, when my turn came, was handed only three out of the four prescribed items. I politely pointed this out to the staff member assisting me. She asked me to take a seat and assured me she would sort it out.
After approximately ten minutes, she called out a name that sounded like mine—“Tapa”—so I approached the counter. She then said it would take a couple more minutes. I asked if I could go for a bit of shopping, as I have done previously without issue, and she confirmed that it was fine.
However, when I returned, there was a long queue of about 10 to 12 people. I could not locate the staff member who had served me earlier, so I asked another member of staff for assistance. Instead of helping or acknowledging the situation, I was told curtly to stand in the queue again.
I found this entire experience not only frustrating but also disrespectful. The lack of communication and the rude tone used were entirely unnecessary. As a regular customer, I expect to be treated with the same basic respect and courtesy I always offer.
This incident has left me feeling upset and undervalued as a customer. I urge you to look into this matter seriously and take appropriate steps to ensure that patients and customers are treated professionally and with kindness at all times.

Out of stock on 3 for 2 items.

Berkeley Precinct, Sheffield. Advertising 3 for 2 on items. Both items I wanted (Boots Minty Breath Spray and Macushield 90 day supply packs) had only 2 in stock. This happened the last time I wanted these items. Well well, what a coincidence. Make the customer just buy two at full price. Staff friendly enough.

Boots should be booted out

The organization is unfit for purpose. Had an NHS 111 appointment and had my prescription sent to boots Falcon Lane SW11. Was assured by the doctor that
My local Boots Chemist would have the prescribed antibiotics in stock. I walked from Battersea Park Road and was told by Boots on Falcon Lane they were out of stock!

My question is, why are Boots not ordering needful antibiotics before they have run out! How does this help customers? The young lady that was on the counter today was quite odd, I had to wait for her to finish putting labels on things before she was willing to come and attend to me. Eventually, I just took my prescription and went to a “smaller” chemist who were sufficiently stocked and able to supply my antibiotics. Bigger stores are not always best.
