We recently purchased a hatch bag from The Boot-Bag Group for the back of our Mini, as we wanted extra packing space for weekend camping trips. The instructions were emailed to us beforehand and were straightforward and easy to follow.
We were genuinely impressed by how much the bag could hold. We managed to pack:
2 lightweight folding high-back camping chairs
2 lightweight folding low-back camping chairs
Tent organiser
Hillington camp mat inflator
10m electric hook-up cable
2 single and 1 double Origen self-inflating camping mats
2 single sleeping bags
Eurohike 400 air beam tent
2 sheets
Mallet and hard-ground peg kit
A few games
OEX gas stove, plus cups, plates and cutlery
This meant we still had enough room in the Mini's boot to squeeze in our paddle boards and a bag of clothes, allowing us to take a complete camping setup in such a compact car.
We loved the bag and cradle design, which fitted securely to the back of the car and made a huge difference to our packing capacity.
The only improvement I'd suggest is the two straps that secure the bag to the cradle. I'd prefer quick-release tie-down straps, as the current double D-ring system can be quite fiddly and tight to undo. I also bought a separate bag to keep the straps stored safely when they're not in use.
We've now left the bag packed and ready to attach for our next adventure. Overall, it's an excellent product that has transformed what we're able to take in our Mini, and I'd happily recommend it to anyone looking for extra luggage space.

Great communication throughout making sure right purhase. Fitted to my Jeep today easy to do, and instructions were sent to me via emai after purchase. Great quality, value for money if you have got room in car. Fast delivery too.

I have yet to receive the rack and bag. I contacted the company a week ago to ask them to reschedule my delivery as we were travelling and had not received any package at that time. The company informed me via email that the package has been delivered. I have had no such delivery, cameras confirm same and both my neighbours haven’t received it either. Have had a few emails (when prompted by me) from the company but they are certainly not owning this issue as I would expect. I followed up as best I could with the courier company but really think the boot-bag company need to own this issue.

Following call this morning with Liza it was confirmed that the package had gone missing on the dpd side and that new shipment has been issued which will go out today - thanks for resolving the issue - looking forward to reviewing the rack and the bag for our upcoming roadtrip

Communication with this company was excellent although the boot rack is well made and functional it didn't suit our requirements mainly because on a 24 hour trip on a ferry the rubber feet securing the rack to the boot would have come loose due to the air escaping from the pads. Otherwise in normal circumstances the rack is a clever design and as long as one checks the security of the rack to the boot every 2 hours on a journey it works brilliantly.
They gave me a full refund although I had to pay for postage. So full marks.

The boot-bag has proved invaluable in our recent trip to Scotland. We did almost 1000 miles with the boot-bag on and it was perfect. It gave us enough extra storage in our MX-5 ND to be away for 11 nights. It is easy to fit and the high level brake-light was fairly easy to install. The bag was rugged, secure and waterproof – doing a few 100 miles of motorway and rain. One slight niggle is that the clip for the shoulder carry strap broke when trying to carry It from the car with the strap only. The bag was obviously too heavy for the little plastic clip. But that aside, very good value for money and an excellent addition for cars with limited boot space.

Personal advice, receiving the right bag that fits perfectly and the quality and convenience of the bag!

Very good! The spare brake light too! However, during the trip to Norway it got damp in the rainy weather, it was a little wet inside!

Fast shipping, even overseas! Wife enjoys not holding the spare tire in her lap. Very secure, all pieces included!

The luggage rack does its job BUT I now have three permanent vacuum cup marks :-(

We love our Revo rack and boot bag combo. Just one thing we thought you should know about. There is a flap on the bottom of the boot bag. 3 of the flaps have a tie down strap, and one is just hanging there. The one hanging there constantly flapped in the wind and did eventually make marks in the paint on the trunk lid. We have now cut the flap down and it is not flapping anymore. But the damage is already done. With that said, this system has given us a great way to travel with our 2 seater Pontiac Solstice.
