The two new Nora Roberts fantasy books (The Awakening and The Beginning) are fabulous reads. I highly recommend them.

Best place for books/comics/manga in the EU.

Delivery is quick, prices are great and selection is always good.

However, the books are usually dirty and dusty and it's not always possible to clean them ( i.e paper covers or when along the pages of the book) it's fine if ordering for yourself but black finger marks, and dirt are a massive issue if buying as gifts.

All the promises but no results . Do not bother even going here just go straight to Amazon . Book Depositry is a waste of time , Have asked for refund as i'm sick of waiting so we'll see if they cough up ? if not then there will be trouble .
Update . Just after writing this I made my order on Amazon and the book arrived this morning . So I had been given a pack of lies from Book Depository with regards to their not being able to get the exact same book from suppliers . If there is something I hate more than Companies who are useless and make pathetic excuses for their inadequate service , is companies who are blatant liers and think we are as stupid and pathetic as them to believe it and swallow it .

I have ordered 7 books since last October when I found out about this bookshop and I am thinking of buying some more before the year ends! They were all delivered within the site's given dates, all new, always along with a beautiful bookmark and post-Brexit they're paying customs too! The site also has great prices and amazing discounts!

They have the books I’ve been looking for at a cheaper price and FREE delivery! Placed my first order last April 19...still waiting!

Customer Service is responsive. Explained that the books were probably lost in transit as there is confirmation that they were dispatched BUT no tracking number. Refund or Replacement books offered. After confirming that my original orders were still available, l opted for replacement despite another 30-day wait...this was last June 19.

I emailed again and was given confirmation that the replacements were dispatched last June 22 but lost in transit again.

Good selection of books, cheap prices, free delivery, and responsive Customer Service. What matters most though is the DELIVERY of paid items.

I've ordered from BD many times over the years and haven't been disappointed yet. They offer a great variety and I much prefer to order from them than Amazon.

Delivery could be faster but doesn't bother me much. I'd actually rather that they'd send all my books in one parcel instead of spreading the deliveries out (and wasting packaging). All in all, I'm happy.

Good experience with book depository. My book was dispatched after 3 days (like the website said) and then arrived well packaged 3 days later. The prices are cheaper than Amazon, but I'd like the dispatch and delivery times to be quicker.

I never thought I will have to write this review. For many years I have been a happy and loyal customer until today. How is it possible for a company like Book Depository to rely on delivery of orders on the company Aramex? I have received today my order from Book Depository that was delivered by Aramex and they required to be paid 215,- danish crowns for delivery, a delivery that according to your webshop is free over the whole world. When I ordered the book nothing warned me about extra, unlawfully charges. I am very heartbroken and saddened to see that my complete trust and joy on your company is shattered because of your courier choice. I am going to cancel all my orders until you find a reliable courier and probably is a good idea to read the reviews on Trust Pilot for your courier of choice Aramex. I did not accept any extra payments that I did not agree in advance and the package is returning to you. Unfortunately I have other orders on the way as well and they will all be returned. I sent for a 2022 pocket diary. What I got was a 2020/2021 useless diary. They are not answering emails to so-called Customer Service, apart from the first 'sorry to hear this' template. No refund, no replacement.

Dont buy from the book depository. I posted bad feedback on their facebook site because of there rubbish service and underhand sales methods so they blocked me from leaving messages on their facebook site. Try world books far better service and no tricks, Dont let these corporates take advantage of the small person,

For now they never failed me but I looked at the feedbacks here and I hope that I will never be in those situation and hopen the company will notice these feedbacks

Don't pay any attention to the canned responses. I've been fighting with the Bookdepository customer service team for several weeks and have been getting nowhere. They keep blaming me for the failed transactions. If the company were truly interested in fixing the problem, they would reach out to me.

Never had the case where a book that I ordered wouldn't arrive. Only ever buy at bookdepository due to lower prices, especially since the shipping costs nothing. Keep up the good work!

Best place to buy books, especially since they come in various languages. I'm mainly interested in the English category thus this is not my first language. I'm sad they stopped the Greek collaboration, but at least they kept Spanish.
This is the palace where I usually find what I'm looking for, they are cheaper, sometimes not, but moreover they have free shipping. The other negative side is that depending on your location it takes quite the time to arrive. At home it takes between 3-4 weeks, when I was living abroad it took around 2 weeks and the post service was awesome compared to my native country.
You need to be prepared in case you order more than 1 book, they come separately.
Also, it happened to me twice not to get one book or the order and the Staff was really amazing; fast, supportive and they sent me the lost shipment again.

This is one of the best discovery's from my life.

My go-to online book store. Most of the time I can get books cheaper than anywhere else, plus no shipping fees.
Also many times it's the only place I can find the books I want.
Only thing is that it can take a long time for me to get the books sometimes. Everything else works great.

Pros & cons ...
This is a good bookshop with a wide range and consistently competitive prices, however they can be a bit slow to deliver. I have bought four books from them and every time received a " reward " ... a £75 voucher ... to spend on a case of WINES ! I would like to know why do they think that everyone likes or drinks wines? Instead, why not give a £5 to spend while buying another book ? They need to know that offering wine is not liked and appreciated in many communities and that their customers belong to a wide range of cultural , ethnic and religious backgrounds.

It was my second time buying from Book Depository and it was definitely a 5 service! My books were being held at custom clearance and I was being charged for expenses, although the first time I bought from Book Depository none of that happened. That was when I emailed book depository and they helped me and refunded me. I really appreciated the concern expressed and the the quick responses!
